Watching the most desirable man that ever walked the planet is captivating. He is titillating mouth-watering with so much sex appeal. All women look at him, they stare with lust, seductiveness wanting him to pay attention to them, but he does not show interest. I just stood watching him as he stimulated my senses. He casually walked towards the office, not even taking a glance around him. My heart began to slow down when he disappeared into his room. Then the door closed. So many sighs could be heard coming from women who had their mouths agape. I smiled, taking my seat to finish my workload.

My mind is somewhere else, not focusing on what is in front of me. I looked up when Miss Goody is standing in front of my desk. She hates me to the point that she is always reporting me to the boss for stupid little things. "Mr Kennedy has asked for you to see him," She smirks then turns I stand up pulling my skirt down. I am nervous I know I have had warnings because of Miss goody. I took a deep breath, then walk to his office door. I glanced around the office floor to see everyone looking at me. I bowed my head then knock on the door, waiting for a reply. I am dreading what is going to happen.

"Come in." My boss's voice is harsh, so, I know this is not good. I open the door then step in, closing the door behind me. I still bow my head I could feel his eyes burning through me which is making me nervous. He bangs the desk I jump not wanting to look at him then I hear him move his chair. "Come here," His demanding voice giving me a cold shiver. I slowly step towards his desk. "No, come here to me." I gulped close my eyes for a second. My feet did not want to move, my heart is beating fast with anticipation. 

I just wish he would get it over and done with. I am stood in front of him he then reaches up to lift my chin. "Savannah. I have had another complaint about your work. Personally, I cannot see a problem with it but, I have no other choice than to let you go," My eyes filled with tears, then I turn to walk to the door. Before I could leave his office, he is stood in front of me. His intoxicating scent filled the air, his crisp white shirt is a tight fit to his upper body. He is now leaning on the door, stopping me from leaving. "I could always put you on the upper floor with my brother Cole he would take care of you. I will give him a call to let him know you are on your way." He places his hand on my shoulder then steps back to his desk to phone his brother. I kept quiet not saying a word but, I did think of Cole.

When I first started working for this company, I was eighteen. I didn't know Cole at the time well, didn't know he had been part of the family that owns this company plus many more. I have been with this company for a few months when I met Cole while I waited in line at a coffee shop. He tried to have a conversation with me but, all I could do is stare at how captivating he looked. He sure is the better-looking brother. 

We did sit drinking our coffee just chatting about everyday things. Then every day I would see him in line getting coffee. We would meet just to have a chat then three months later he asked me out to dinner I said yes which I did enjoy. We went back to his place we had a night of passion then the next morning when I went to leave he told me he wanted to see me again so we did; it went on for a year till the day I fell pregnant. 

He went crazy telling me it wasn't his child calling me a whore when he is the one that took my virginity. No one in his family knows I did not want anyone knowing either. He never told his family that we dated so, I kept my secret not seeing him again, till the day he started work here. He stared at me with hate all over his face. I had his daughter he doesn't know he never asked. He did not want any part of it, so now he has a girlfriend and his daughter Kenna is two years old who he knows nothing about. 

I looked over to my boss who is on the phone with his brother. "Mr Kennedy. Please, I will just leave," Seeing Cole again will surely be the wrong thing to do. He hates me for what had happened. I walked to the door, leaving with my head bowed. I could feel everyone looking at me as I walked back to my desk. I just picked up my bag, then left. That is all I had after working for the company over four years. 

To be honest, I am glad to get out of it. I would dread bumping into Cole. I enter the elevator push the button for the lobby. I lean back on the wall while the elevator continued to count down the floors. I needed to get home to my daughter to let the sitter go. I would not be able to afford to keep the sitter.

When I got home, I had a word with the sitter she left. I checked Kenna while she is having her mid-afternoon nap. I sit on the bed watching her sleep. She is my main priority, the one that I worry about every second of the day. I had a quick wash then walked back into my room I could see Kenna stirring from her sleep I changed quickly then she stands up looking at me holding her arms towards me. I pick her up smother her in kisses which makes her giggle. I walked into the kitchen with Kenna in my arms when there is a knock at the door. "Let's see who that is," I say to her. I had her on my hip when I opened the door to see my boss stood there. The shock that consumed me rushed through my body. I look at my daughter, then at Mr Kennedy who looks shocked too. "Mr Kennedy," My surprised voice is high pitched.

"Savannah, you took off before I could tell you that Cole has room for you." I stare at him in shock.

"I would rather look for something else." I bowed my head. I could not work on Cole's floor knowing he is the father of my daughter.

"I have cleared it with Cole he is waiting for you," I shake my head then step back to close the door.

"Sorry, but I cannot work for your brother." I went to close the door when he places his hand on it to stop me from closing it. I look at Kenna who is clinging to me.

"Why can't you?". He looks at Kenna then looks back at me. "Who is this little sweetie?". His hand reaches to hers she starts to giggle.

"This is Kenna," I tell him. I never knew how gentle my boss could be. He looks at me smiling...

"Tell me, Savannah, why don't you want to work with my brother?" I shake my head.

"You need to ask him," I step back, closing the door. I took a deep breath, then hugged Kenna. Why is my life got to be so goddamn complicated? Kenna sits in her chair while I cooked dinner? When we had eaten Kenna played with her toys while I sit on the sofa looking for a new job. "Well, baby we have limited funds but, mummy will make sure you have everything you need," I watched her play before it's bedtime. When bedtime came, I was so glad to have a soak in the bath with a glass of wine. My relaxation is short-lived by someone knocking at the door. Placed my glass on the side by the sink to put my robe on answering the door, shake my head to see my boss stood looking at me with a couple of stuffed animals. "Do you realise how late it is?" Raised my voice.

"I know, I'm sorry for calling this late but, Cole and I spoke he told me everything. He told me how he left you pregnant, saying he didn't believe it was his baby." I sighed.

"This does not give you the right to just turn up whenever you feel like it. Your brother doesn't even know he has a daughter"... I step back to let him in... I made us a coffee then sit in the lounge. He is looking around at all my possessions. He stands to look at the photos of Kenna.

"She looks like my brother when he was a baby." He places the photo down he sure is looking around. "Savannah. I would like to see my niece. I am the eldest of four with all the responsibility of making sure my brothers don't fuck up." I giggled, he laughs. "When our parents died everything was left to me. I had to make sure my brothers went to school then College. I also had the responsibility of our companies." He sits back down, picking up his coffee cup he looks over at me. "With these responsibilities, I have to make sure that whatever my brothers do wrong I have to try to make it right but, I cannot make Cole's right all I can do is offer to make sure you are taken care of." I stood walked to the kitchen to place my empty cup on the side. I could not believe what I am hearing. It sounded like he is trying to buy me off.

"I don't need your money. Kenna and I are doing fine. You can leave now." I fold my arms, staring at him. He stood pulled his jacket straight.

"Savannah, you wouldn't have to live like this. I want to take care of my niece. You don't want to go down the road of getting my lawyers involved, it will not be pretty." His look has made me sick.

"Just because you have money you think you can buy whatever you want well, I will tell you now I am not for sale nor is my daughter. We don't need your money or want anything from you. Your brother made that quite clear when I told him I was pregnant. He walked away accusing me of being a whore, when he was the only guy, I had ever slept with he is my first ever and I have not been with anyone since. Now get out of my house." I screamed at him. He walked towards the door then looks back at me...

"I wish he had faced up to his responsibilities but, now you have a battle on your hands. You will be hearing from my lawyers," His harsh voice echoed through my body like an icy shiver. He opens the door, then leaves. How dare he threaten me like that. I break down crying, hoping that Kenna is safe. I know they have money they can get whatever they want plus they can get the best lawyers too. I will not go down without a fight. My daughter is my life she is the only person I love more than anything, I will fight but, I am fearful that I will lose her to them.
