"No you stab her! I had to kill the last one!" someone says loudly outside my door.

"Yeah but the time before, I had to kill that kid and clean up the body. So it's your turn again," a feminine voice replies.

F*ck, the second I pop into the world people are after me! Thank god I'm a light sleeper. Actually no, don't thank god, he's the reason I'm here in the first place.

Ugh, how am I going to fight off assassins with this small, weak body?

I slip out of bed as quietly as possible. I tip toe toward the vanity next to the door, praying the floorboards don't creak.

"Alright fine! I kill her, but you have to hide the body!" says a more masculine voice. The door creaks open, letting the light from outside in.

I grab the perfume bottle on the vanity, and jump out from behind the door. In front of me are the two assassins. They look like twins, both having green hair and blue eyes. No wonder they were so loud, they certainly aren't professional assassins. They seem to be early teenagers, probably no older than fourteen.

Quickly I spray the perfume into the boy's eyes, and bolt out of the door as they are temporarily stunned by what just happened.

I run through the hallway, lined with oil paintings of nobles on red walls. Finally I get to a flight of black iron stairs, and run up it. I have no idea where I'm going, but I just know I have to get away from those two psychopaths.

"F*CK! WHAT DID SHE SPRAY IN MY EYES!" shouts the boy as I race up the stairs.

"I don't know! Get yourself together dumbass!" replies the girl, "Sh*t, she got away. I'm going after her."

I get to the top of the stairs, and run to my left, bolting down that hallway. I can hear the girl climbing up the stairs, hot on my trail. Damn these slow child legs. I see another staircase on the other side of the hall and start climbing up it.

"Found you! You're so dead now!" shouts the green haired girl on the other side of the hall. I go up the stairs faster, my heart thumping in my chest. I'm about three fourths up the stairs when I see a knife whizzing towards me.

I try to duck, but I'm too slow and it stabs me in the shoulder. I have too much adrenaline coursing through me to register the pain though, and keep running up the stairs. I finally get to the top, but I can hear her chasing after me. I also hear a second person racing up the stairs. Her brother must have caught up.

Damn this child's endurance, I can't keep running like this. I'm also feeling a little dizzy from the knife wound in my shoulder. I quickly run to the third door in the hallway.

I open it, and decide to hide in this room to catch my breath. It seems to be a small library filled with bookcases. I hide behind one of the bookcases, as I try to figure out a plan.

Unfortunately, Hal didn't tell me what happens when I die, so there's still a large possibility that I'll be dead for good. Additionally, if I die, Hal will probably bring my sister back, since I'm "replacing" her. Therefore, I must survive by all means necessary.

I try to look around for a weapon that I could kill them with. There's a knife in my shoulder, but I feel like if I pull it out, it will cause me to bleed out, so that's not feasible. And even if I find a weapon, then what? I can hardly overpower them. They're probably three times my size.

"Where did that little brat go?" sneers the boy from the hallway. I grab one of the books on the shelf I'm hiding behind. Maybe I can throw this at them and run away, using the element of surprise again.

"She has to be here somewhere, this is the highest floor. She's probably in one of the rooms." replies the girl. I hear them search the first room, then the second.

They'll be here any second. I hear them open the door to the room I'm in, and hold my breath.

"Are you in here, little girl?" asks the green haired girl. I see her shadow illuminated across the floor from the light on the doorway. I see the shadow getting closer and closer as she searches between the bookcases.

She's three bookcases away from me, when I hear a blood curling scream coming from the hallway. The girl spins around, and rushes out of the room.

"Claudi-" she starts to shout, but before she can finish I hear the loud sound of a gunshot.

Is this a friend or a foe? My savior or am I next?

I see the shadow of a boy getting larger as he walks towards me. I hear a dripping noise, and realize it's blood as the strong metallic smell reaches my nose.

"You can come out, Eve. It's me," calls out the boy. I decide to take the risk and reveal myself. I shakily walk out from behind the bookcase and face the boy.

He looks around thirteen years old. He has dark blue hair and blue eyes. His clothes are stained with blood, but he doesn't look wounded. It must be the blood from the twins.

"You'll have to stay with mother tonight." he says. He sighs, "Looks like you're wounded too."

He walks over to me, and picks me up, careful to avoid the knife in my shoulder. I start feeling the extreme pain in my shoulder as the adrenaline from the fight wears down. It feels like a thousand needles shooting up my arm. I grit my teeth, and try not to cry out. I feel myself going weak, like a wet noodle. Eventually, I slip out of consciousness.

I wake up, with cold sweat all over me. Everything around me seems too bright and sort of blurry. I feel as though all the sounds are muffled too sort of like what it sounds like when you're hearing things underwater. It registers to me that I'm on a bed, propped up into a semi-sitting position by two pillows.

Sitting at a desk is a woman with blue-silver hair, with pale blue eyes. She was beautiful, but there was a thick, suffocating smell of perfume lingering around her. She walks over to me, and caresses my cheek with her ice cold hands. Her enchanting blue eyes hold no warmth as she surveys me.

Suddenly, her hand closes around the handle of the knife in my shoulder and she yanks it out. I scream, and I feel my warm blood gush out of the wound.

"Pathetic," she says, throwing the bloody knife on the floor. "If it wasn't for your brother, you would be dead. At the hands of a bunch of bastard children no less."

She brings a chalice to my lips and pours the red liquid into my mouth. I immediately forget about my pain, as the drink the liquid she gave me. It feels as though every part of my body is being warmed by the drink. Just as go to drink some more, she takes the cup away. I look at my knife wound, and miraculously it's healed.

The sweet, metallic smell of blood fills the air. I almost gag as I realize I just drank blood.

Oh right, my sister said Eve was half-vampire, half-demon descendent. That means I have super strength, stronger senses than humans, and super healing from my vampire side. Drinking blood recharges me which is why I was able to heal after drinking some. From my demon descendant side, I am able to grow demon wings during battle so that I can fly. I'm powerful, but dull in comparison to the powers the male leads have.

I honestly don't know why they're so OP, but if I ever get back to Earth, I'll write a very scathing review on this game. I thought if I'm the villainess, I'll have really powerful magic, but no. Like most otome games, the villainess is strong, maybe even a little stronger than the heroine, but comes second to the male leads.

The woman, who I guess is Eve's mother, since the blue haired boy- who this woman called my brother- said he'd take me to her, puts the chalice of blood down on the nightstand next to me. She lifts my chin, studying my face.

"At least you protected this pretty face. Hopefully you can use it in the future," she sneers. I don't know what to say so I remain silent. She continues, "Tomorrow you'll start training. I can't have you being beaten by a couple of illegitimate brats."

"Are... are they dead?" I ask her. I know they were trying to kill me, but they were practically children.

"Those bastards that tried to kill you? Yes, your brother killed them," she replied. She pursed her lips. Suddenly, she slapped me hard across the face. She used the super strength she had due to being a vampire, so it actually hurt me, and would probably leave a bruise tomorrow.

"Now you have concern over the people who tried to kill you?" she spat out. "You're so weak you disgust me. I can't believe I raised a daughter as pathetic as you."

I clutch my cheek which has started to swell. Tiredness overwhelms me, and for a second before I fall asleep, I see my father's face instead of Eve's mother. I almost laugh, even in a game, I still have horrible parents.

I understand why my sister wanted to be Helen. Even though her parents were poor, even going to prison, they still loved her with all their hearts. But we're much more like Eve.

It's no wonder she became a villainess. When the people who are supposed to love you the most in the world don't, when there is nobody you can rely on, that loves you, you get desperate. Goodness is a luxury.

In that moment, I realize I must seize power like Eve aimed to. I must be the villainess. It is the only way to survive this cutthroat environment. And I have to survive, not for myself but for Rain, my sister.
