"I swear your roommate is never home," Bree said softly. They were lying in Taehyung's bed now, after she had showered had changed into one of his hoodies while he had done the same.

"He stays over at Hoseok hyung's place on the nights before their concerts," he pouted, "Not that I'm jealous or anything."

She pinched his cheek, "Aww poor you, it's okay, you'll see him tomorrow don't worry."

"I really hope you don't get sick," she frowned, dabbing her hands around his hair once again to check if it was still wet.

He noted it was the fifth time she had done it that night.

"But on a serious note," he took her hand from his hair and kissed it, "How are you going with uni work? Is it stressing you out or anything?"

Sighing, she replied, "Yeah Tae, it is," but she forced a smile, "although, I always forget about it because of you."

"Because of me?"

"I don't know how it happens but, when it all gets to my head, the exams, the assignments, the pressure," her fingers reached up to his forehead, tracing it down to his chin, "When I think of you I literally just feel calm all of a sudden, it feels like I can do anything, just with you there."

He pursed his lips, "Is that what love is?"

"Maybe," she shook her head, "I don't know. All I know is that you make my dark days easier to bear and I have no scientific explanation for that."

"Who knew, the girl who went on about me being a super geek with no friends would fall in love with me."

"Oh my goodness," she closed her eyes, bringing her hand to her forehead, "I said sorry!"

"We wouldn't have even met if our professor didn't decide to fly to another country," his voice was dreamy, and Bree knew that if the room wasn't as dark as it was, she would see it in his eyes too.

"No."

"Huh?"

"We would still have met," she pat his cheek, "We're meant to be babe, even if the stars weren't aligned for us, we would find our way to each other."

"You-" was the first thing the girl screeched when she saw Bree.

"Hi!"

"You-" after smacking her once, "little," twice, "brat," three times, Minah hugged her tight, "I haven't seen you in centuries."

"Sorry!," Bree pouted, "uni has me so bus-"

"Oh shush, we both know one chem professor is the only uni related person taking up your precious time."

She giggled, "I'm still sorry, how have you been!"

"Great, have to look after by dumbass brother, he keeps forgetting to eat now that it's critical exam time."

"Oh yeah! He's hanging out with Tae today, right? Hopefully that'll cheer him up."

"Yeah, that whole group of immatures," she shook her head, "I can't believe you went for my brother's friend."

"Okay, okay, it's not like you had dibs on him or anything."

"Lucky you," she muttered under her breath, "You're lucky I had dibs on another one of his friends."

"Wait, what?"

"Huh?"

"Who!"

"What?"

"Oh don't play dumb, who's the lucky guy?"

"No one special really," she shrugged, "Dance major."

"Jimin?"

"Oh no!" she shook her head like crazy, "Definitely not him. He was friends with my brother since we were living back in Busan, he's seen my three year old self in underwear. Totally not him."

Bree giggled, "Hoseok?"

Minah was silent.

"No way!"

"Okay, but you can't go telling your boyfriend, those boys tell each other everything."

"Yes, ma'am."

"But have you seen the man," she rested her chin in her hand, leaning onto the table, "His smile."

"Dude, we have to set you two up!"

Her eyes widened, "No! That's okay!"

"I am making it my life's mission to get you to on a date," she gave her an evil smile, "you can trust me with this."

The next day was when getting drenched in the rain finally kicked in for Bree. Waking up with a stinging headache and the worst cold she had ever had, she looked at the time and jumped up, realising she was already late for her first lecture. Getting out of bed, the pain came rushing back, making her fall back onto her bed.

Having to decide against going to uni, she just lay back in bed, wrapping the blankets tight around her, closing her eyes tight.

Her phone rang, and she answered, turning it on speakerphone before rolling back onto her bed.

"Morning baby," Taehyung's soothing voice filled the room, and Bree smiled.

"Mor-" she was cut off with her own cough, "-ning, Tae."

"Bree? Are you sick? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she laughed, croakily. Her own voice was surprising her today. "I think I'm going to stay back today, the rain finally got to me."

"God, Bree, I told you that you were going to get sick," he scolded her, "Do you need anything? Want me to co-"

"I'm fine Tae, really. It's not the first time I've had a cold. Just focus on your lectures and then we can hang out after, okay?"

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Okay, Bree-" she heard another voice muffled in the background on his side, "I got to go, I'll call you later, alright?"

"Yes, sir," she tried to make him laugh - which he did - before he hung up.

When she woke up again, it was around lunch time. Getting out of bed, she realised she had no headache anymore, just the cold, so she thought of visiting Taehyung at university after getting herself some medicine. Quickly ordering Taehyung's favourite Subway sandwich online, she packed a few things into her handbag and left for her car.

Bree headed straight for Taehyung's office and lab as soon as she got there, Subway bag in hand. To say she was excited was an understatement. Everytime she met with Taehyung she had butterflies forming and flying around in her stomach, the most liberating and stimulating feeling ever.

His door was closed when she arrived, and as she lifted her fist to knock on it, she heard a female voice from inside. Putting her hand down, she concluded that he was probably helping a student and reached to open the door. She was just going to leave the sandwich on his desk and go, give them their privacy and talk to him after.

But the door was locked.

She then walked to the student who had occupied the office next to his, to ask her to keep the sandwich with her to give to Taehyung when he was done.

"Hey Prof!" she grinned, walking in. Bree had met this student teacher before and she was unconditionally kind.

"Bree, hey!"

"I was wondering if you could give this to Taehyung after he's done helping the student in his office?"

"Student?" she asked, "Oh, no, she's not a student."

"Huh?"

"Not sure who she is, but they've been in there since the morning."

They stopped talking when they heard laughter coming from his room. Both his and hers.

"W-What?"

That was when she realised maybe she'd overstepped.

"Oh no, I'm sorry, no I'm sure she's just a nobody..."

More laughter.

"She doesn't sound like a nobody."

Bree wasn't the type to rush to conclusions, but there was some insecurity sparked inside her, when she remembered all the looks girls had given Taehyung when they'd walk together, forgetting that the majority of the population on Earth would want him just as much as she did.

And she walked right out, back to her car.
