Winter break was over and now it was time to go back to Uni. Bree and Taehyung talked everyday, but barely saw each other. Taehyung and Jimin had gone to Busan and Daegu, vising their family and friends and just having a nice vacation away from the real world. Bree went back to her own family, helping out with her mother's restaurant but enjoying her time all the while.

"Good morning," Taehyung's cheery voice filled the receiver, making Bree beam despite the gloomy weather outside.

"Someone's excited to be going back to classes," Bree laughed, finishing her dishes from breakfast.

"Going back to classes means getting to see you, and of course I'm excited for that," he replied, just as smoothly as he always was and it made her blush a little.

"Right. Of course," Bree chuckled and flopped herself on her bed. "So are you teaching today or..."

"Nope, it's my first anatomy class of the year, new professor apparently."

Bree nodded, "That's good, learn some new people skills, okay?"

"Excuse me? My people skills are amazing thank you very much," Bree heard his car chime in the background, "Hey Bree, I'll call you back later okay? Should probably rush to the lecture room before all the seats are taken."

"Okay Mr Geek, I'll let you go."

He scoffed, "Oh shush you."

Bree put her phone down and debated on where to finish her last two assignments; at home, the local library, or at the school library. She finally decided on the school library – which had all the perks of free printing and personal study rooms – and off she went, her books and laptop in one hand, a steaming mug of coffee in the other.

The bus wasn't normally kind to people with so many things in their hands, much like Bree presently, but luckily she found one spare seat in the front of the bus, next to another man – someone who looked strangely familiar – and she took a deep breath to ask if she could sit there, but before she spoke he took his bag off the seat, allowing her room.

She bowed a thank you and sat down, looking the other way.

I swear I've seen him before.

But where?

The bus stopped at her University and the bus unloaded, her seat partner also getting off.

Probably seen him around Uni I guess.

She headed to the library and was relieved to see her usual seat empty and waiting for her. Sitting down, she lay all her books and her laptop around her. Bree found that whenever she studied she needed a lot of space, despite what she was doing. Which was why when she studied with Taehyung she had to make sure she sat two seat away from him so she wasn't intruding in on him (which would make him feel very offended of course). But here she could take all the space she wanted.

Ending up finishing her assignment a whole hour earlier than expected, she checked Taehyung's timetable on her phone, seeing that he was just finishing off teaching a class of first years, she went over to the lecture hall to say a quick hello before going back home.

"It's always like this, hyung, you say you're going to change and you back to being a complete jerk, forgetting everything you promise me," Bree heard Taehyung's exasperated voice loud and clear from inside the hall. She jumped up to the door, looking inside the window to see what was happening.

What was the guy from the bus doing there?

"Tae, I'm sorry, I jus- I guess I realised that the family I have right now is more important than the past," the guy reached for Taehyung's hand but he pulled away.

"Hyung, you can't blame me for being hesitant, okay? You say this every time and every time you go back on your word."

Is that his brother?

"Is it a crime to miss my father? Don't you miss him too?" the other man exclaimed and this made Taehyung life his gaze from the books he was organising to him. Bree could tell he was furious.

"Hyung. Get out."

"Okay, I'm sorry, Taehyung, I'm not here to pick a fight with you. I'm here to apologize. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I needed to say I'm sorry."

With that, Taehyung grabbed his bag in an angry rush, turning to him one more time. "Of course you don't expect forgiveness."

That was all he said before storming to the door, flinging it open and seeing Bree there.

His expression turned from mad to surprised to mad again before he continued to storm right past her and down the hall.

She ran to catch up with him, holding his hand in hers when she reached him, "Tae?"

"What are you doing here?" his voice was hoarse, full of an emotion she couldn't point out.

"I was finishing some work in the library and I came down to say hi to you," they were finally out of the building and she pulled him to a spot behind it, away from prying eyes.

"Tae, what's wrong? Who was that in there? What happened?"

"Nothing, Bree, have you had lunch?"

"Tae," her voice was firm as she held on tighter to his hand, "What did you promise me before?"

He forced a smile and held both her hands, "Let's go back to my place."

--

And that was where he told her the full story. From beginning to end. From back to when his father died to just last week when his brother, Namjoon, kept forcing his theory that his father was alive onto Taehyung.

She sighed and pulled Taehyung's head onto her shoulder and wrapped her arms around it, stroking the side. "Aww baby, that seems like a lot to deal with."

"You'd think that after all this time I'd be used to it. Even though he told me today that he promised to let it go, and to finally come back to reality, I just can't trust in him."

"The fact that you aren't used to it shows that you believe in him enough to want him to change," she continued to stroke his hair, "And I don't see that as a bad thing at all."

He smiled, his eyes closed, "You always have the right thing to say."

She leaned over, planting a small kiss on his forehead, "Thank you for sharing this with me, Tae, it really means a lot."

He snuggled deeper into her embrace, "Not like you gave me any choice," he joked, making Bree laugh.

"You're right."

"Also," he sat up, looking at her, a cheeky smile spreading across his face, "Did you just call me baby?"

--

"We probably should study, Tae," Bree said once he had come out of the shower, rubbing his hair with his towel.

"How did you just ruin the whole evening with that one sentence."

She giggled, "Come here," her arms outstretched, took the towel from him. "Sit, let me do it."

He happily obliged, sitting at the dining table and letting her dry his hair. While she did, they told each other about their week, the small nothings that happened in their everyday lives that other people wouldn't have found at all significant but to them, those small detailed were so important.

"Your professor called you what?"

"Chaehyung! And he was getting so mad at me for not replying but how was I meant to know he was talking to me!"

Bree started laughing, "I think I'm going to call you that now, Chaehyung."

"Don't you dare. That name is going to give me nightmares, I swear the man would have cut my grade for not replying to him."

She pinched his nose, "But you would still get that A plus."

He turned and smiled up at her, "Speaking of A plus, you did really well in that last chemistry exam, I'm impressed."

"Wait, did you just leak my grade?"

"What?" his eyes widened, "What did I just say."

She grinned, "Did I really get an A plus?"

"I don't know, grades are posted next week."

"Tae!" she squealed, "You know it was my goal to get two A pluses for this paper!"

"Well I guess you achieved your goal," he smiled, standing up and taking the towel from her, "Thanks to me."

She rolled her eyes, "Yeah, yeah, whatever."

The door then clicked open and Bree jumped when she turned to see someone walking through the door. He froze, however, when his eyes rested on the two of them standing at the dining table and started to shuffle backwards.

"Ahem," he forced a cough, "I think I-"

Taehyung chuckled, "It's okay Jimin, come back," he strode over to the door and brought him in by the arm. "Let me formally introduce the two of you."

"Hi, I'm Bree, Taehyung's..." she didn't know how to finish the sentence, but luckily Taehyung did it for her.

"Girlfriend."

Her heart was pounding when he said it, but she didn't know why.

"I'm Jimin, this dork's best friend."

"There, that's finally done," Taehyung took the bag off of Jimin's back, "Have you had dinner?"

"Have you?" he whispered to Taehyung and he shook his head, "Did you want to-"

"So, pizza?"

They spent the rest of the evening watching movies and talking about their University campus. Bree was glad she was getting along with someone Taehyung considered to be his family, seeing as he didn't have anyone else, apart from Namjoon.

--

The week went by pretty fast, Taehyung and Bree's last lecture for the week was on the same time on the Friday, and they decided to go out for dinner after studying for a while in the library. Since they didn't get to meet up during the week, they had a lot to talk about. The dry jokes Bree's biology professor would say during lectures, the funny first year students Taehyung would get for his chemistry lectures, the hilarious answers those first years would write in their exam papers.

"I have your level one chemistry notes still at my place, Bree, do you want to come over and pick them up before going home?" Taehyung asked as they got into his car.

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about those. I should probably pick them up before we both forget," her smile was hiding the joy of staying with him longer. During their weeks they found their work load piling up more and more, and so being with each other got more precious by the day. Being able to stay with each other longer, even if it was only for a few minutes, was something they both cherished.

"I kept them very carefully," he said, walking into the study and bringing out her folders, "Because you literally make your notes look like art work."

She giggled, "Thanks."

"Want a coffee?" he asked, walking into the kitchen. She knew she should have said no, she knew she should have cut the night off there and declared a good night so they could both wake up early tomorrow morning to study.

But she didn't want to say good bye.

"Sure."

While he had the water boiling, he went back to his room to change out of his clothes.

"Oh Tae, you forgot your shirt," she called from the kitchen.

"Can you bring it in?" he called back, and she did, walking into his room to see him sitting on the bed playing with his tie.

She started laughing, sitting in front of him and taking the tie in her hands. He sighed, looking up at her and smiling.

"I promise I know how to take a tie off."

"Hmm, yeah, I know you do."

His eyes were on her as she threaded the material out of its loop and pulled it out from around his neck. His fingers threaded through her hair, making her look up, her smile faded, seeing the serious expression he was wearing. Leaning in, he captured her lips in a hungry kiss, everything about it screamed I want more.

He let her up for air, and in that second they exchanged glances, before she wrapped her arms around his neck, drawing him closer and locking their lips again. His hands still playing with her hair, her hands grabbing at the back of his shirt as they continued in the moment, the passion that was their love.

She started to bend back under his weight, before her back was against the bed. Hovering over her, he scanned her eyes. And in that instant it was as if he was searching for permission, that one glitter of doubt looming through his mind.

Maybe she didn't want it.

But her fingers went to the buttons of his shirt, the first one came unfastened, the second and then the third. Taehyung watched her, finding no words to express how beautiful she looked, and how honoured he felt that this woman was his.

"Bree," he whispered, they were both becoming undone, they were becoming vulnerable for the other. "I love you."

"I love you too, so, so much."

Leaning down, he kissed her again. But this time it was filled with confidence, fuelled by his love for her.

--

Bree woke with the sun gleaming through the curtain, her eyes falling from the window to the boy sleeping next to her.

"God you're so beautiful," she mumbled under her breath, her fingers tracing the side of his face, down to his jaw and finally his cheek before leaning down and pecking his lips. Resting her head back on the pillow, she continued to watch him and how gorgeous he looked when he was sleeping so peacefully.

"Okay I'm going to make us some breakfast," she said to herself yet again, knowing he wouldn't have heard.

After she had prepared an omelette for the both of them and brewed some coffee, she waltzed back into his bedroom to see him still sleeping there. She sat on his side of the bed, contemplating on whether she should wake him or let him sleep. She didn't want to be holed up inside the whole day when she knew the rest of the week would just consist of her hibernating inside as she went over lectures.

"Come back to bed," Taehyung called, wiggling cutely with his eyes closed.

Bree smiled, "It's a nice day - we should probably do something."

"Oh, I'm planning to do something plenty. Come back to bed."

Easily convinced, Bree allowed him to catch hold of her hand and reel her back in with a laugh. "You're incorrigible."

"Do you want me to start singing 'you are my sunshine' to explain my lack of need for the great outdoors?" Teasing. "I can, just for you."

"God, don't you dare." Bree laughed harder and leaned in for a kiss.
