《Call Of Death》Chapter 63 : Danger?

Red took a chair and begun tying Officer Chad's hands and legs on it. He made sure that the rope was tied tightly enough so that he couldn't escape when he woke up. He also covered his mouth with duct tape so he won't make any noise even if no one would hear him as they were in an isolated place. After staring at the sleeping officer for some time, he decided to wear his mask. It was a mask that made him look like he has a really wide smile and that as if his tongue was insanely long. He looked at himself at the mirror, feeling satisfied. He likes the mask because it made him look like a demon. The mask also represents himself.
"I can't wait to meet you, Detective Lee." He said behind the mask, with burning eyes.
"Are you sure you want to meet him now? Isn't it too early? You're not even supposed to take Devius here as your hostage, Hyeol." Red heard Ju Jin Su's voice from the door.
He turned to him with a serious face. "What are you doing here? I thought I told you to go back to the hospital?" Red asked.
"Why don't you answer my question, Hyeol? The plan is to take revenge only towards the person who had wronged you. You're not supposed to involve anyone here. I don't want you getting your hands dirty." Jin Su calmly lectured him.
Red's face turned expressionless. "Do you not trust me enough to be thinking like that, Sed?" He called Jin Su in his nickname.
"Hyeol..."
"If you can't trust me, you can leave. I don't want you here scolding me all day." Red turned his back and was faced the window.
Ju Jin Su sighed and walked inside, closing the door behind. "Fine, I won't say anything anymore. Just let me stay here. I don't have anything to do at the hospital, no one to keep my eyes on. I'm just worried about you, that's the only reason why I'm here." He stated.
"Why? You don't trust my abilities? You think I can't handle that Detective Lee?" Red turned to look at him with a smirk.
"Let me asked you the same question, do you think you can handle him? Let's say you fought better than him but in other things, can you defeat him? Can you win against him if he himself is your weakness?" Ju Jin Su said that out of honesty but those words made Red's expression to change.

A trace of disappointment can be seen in his face. "Jin Su-ya, are you saying that I'm a weak motherfucker and that I couldn't do anything against that guy just because he is my weakness? Are you saying that even if I created this majestic plan a long time ago, I'm still a trash and everytime will be nothing but a fucking dump?" Red asked angrily while taking a step forward Ju Jin Su who was just backing away.
"Hyeol, it's not that. I—"
"You think I am still that useless person who couldn't even escape a fire? You've known me for quite long and I never thought that you would still doubt my abilities." Red chuckled, continuing what his doing. He only stopped when Ju Jin Su's back hit the wall.
"It's not what I—"
"But it's fine." His eyes became expressionless as he stared directly at Ju Jin Su's eyes. "I don't need you anyway. Now, leave." He ordered.
"Hyeol—"
"I said, leave, Sed, before I throw you out."
Ju Jin Su sighed in defeat. He didn't mean to offend Red, all he just wanted was for Red to understand that he needed someone beside him if he's going to meet Detective Lee. Ju Jin Su knows that this plan isn't perfect and that it is still too early for them to meet. Jin Su knew that Red just wanted to take what was supposed to be his but Ju Jin Su is still worried. Red is like a brother to him. He doesn't want him to act without consideration. He knows how Red gets affected upon the mention of the man's name and even if he fought better, he still has his weaknesses that can be the reason for him to be defeated.
Red watched as Ju Jin Su's shoulder fell down. He felt annoyed because of Jin Su's word but he knows he only cares for him. He understand that he doesn't want him to risk everything. He also doesn't want to put all their efforts into trash. But he had planned this for a long time. He couldn't just give up easily especially when the plan was almost finished. He couldn't give up nor change the plan just because they got the chance earlier than expected.
"Jin Su-ya," he called, Ju Jin Su stopped at the door and turned to him. "No matter what happens, I'll make sure that my plan—our plan—will be a success." He sincerely promised.

"Hyeol, I know that you will. I support you in everything you do because I care for you. If I said something that offended you, I hope you know that all of that is because I don't want you to be in any danger."
"I understand, Sed." Red smiled.
"You called me by my nickname twice already, did I really made you angry?" Jin Su asked because Red only calls him by that name if he's annoyed or angry with him.
Red shook his head. "No, I'm not angry with you."
"Thank you. Always remember, I'll stay by your side no matter what happens. I'll never leave you, Hyeol." Ju Jin Su stated, Red only shook his head once again.
Sadness mirrored in his eyes. "Don't utter those words to me anymore. I've heard and believed them before and it nearly—no, it cost me my life. I appreciate you being with me through all this time but I don't expect you to stay beside me forever." Saying those words made Red's heart sunk deep.
Even in a heart full of vengeance, hatred and darkness, there was still a soft part where he kept who he really was. Red's heart was shattered before and the only way he could do to bring it all together, piece by piece and fixed it was his hatred and anger. Though he had put them together with all his desire for revenge, the scars made by the past was as visible as if it was before. The wound are fresh and painful. He felt left alone and abandoned for a long time yet Ju Jin Su never left his side, helping him to gather the pieces of his heart together. Even if Red doesn't express it, he cares for the guy. He just can't trust the words of staying with him forever.
"Just go back to the hospital, Jin Su."
"If you really want me to go back to the hospital, I will. But if anything happens, please don't think twice and just call me." Ju Jin Su said and then turned his back.
"Thank you for staying with me until now but you don't have to be involved in my plans anymore, Jin Su. You've done enough and now it's my turn. I will finish what I started without getting you involved." Red whispered as he watched the guy walked away and hop in to his car.
Red wore his long, black coat again as he stood up in front of the mirror. He usually wears long sleeved clothes so he could hide the scars on his body that he got from the fire many years ago. Sometimes, when he needed to hide his identity, he wears heavy make up to cover the scars on his hands. The plastic surgery only fixed his face. Looking at himself, a smirk curved under the scary mask he was wearing. When he felt Officer Chad's phone vibrating inside his pocket, he took it out and grinned after seeing that it was the detective, calling.
"Let the game begin." He whispered.
On the other hand, Detective Cameron Lee was pacing back and forth inside his superior's office as he still couldn't contact Officer Chad. He had already called him many times but he never picked up his phone. He tried calling his sister, Daena, but her brother wasn't with her too. Cameron had been too busy that he didn't notice his partner leaving. He grew worried because Devius usually tells him if he's going somewhere and it's uncommon for the officer to leave alone without a word. Detective Lee was worried but wasn't sure if the officer was really in danger or not. He has no idea that the man he love was with his greatest enemy, Red.
"Lee, calm down. Devius won't be in danger with his skills. I know him." Chief Simon tried to calm him.
"But, Chief, why isn't he picking his phone up? Why didn't he day where he was going? Why isn't he back yet?" He asked.
"Cameron..."
"It's my fault. I was too busy that I didn't even notice that he left. Damn it?" He grabbed his own hair and sat on his feet.
Chief Simon sighed but something in her also felt relieved. Seeing the guy with such reaction is very unfamiliar and new for her. It's because Cameron never cared this much for someone not even her. Well, it's because Cameron never fell in love before, not even for her. The detective's feeling for Devius has just got deeper and deeper, making him want to always keep Devius safe at all cost.
