《Call Of Death》Chapter 58 : The Scar

It's already dawn but Cameron's face is still as serious and as problematic as earlier. Devius has been observing him since he came back but Detective Lee didn't even notice that his partner left for a while.
'Why are you so affected by those photo, Cai? What is it that you're not telling me?' Officer Chad thought as he sighed.
Since it seemed like they won't be going anywhere anytime soon, he stood up and went out. He walked towards where they parked their car. He opened the door and got a pack of cigarette and a lighter inside. Fortunately, he left it there before. Devius do smoke but it wasn't a vice for him because he only smoke when he feels like it—like at the moment. He walked back to sit under the tree where he waited for Officer Chase earlier. He crossed his legs and suck on the cigarette stick then he slowly blew the smoke.
He smiled as he remembered the last time he smoked. It was that time at the bar where he first met Detective Cameron Caiseus Lee. He finds it funny when he remembers how annoyed he felt towards him but now, in his eyes, Cameron is the most admirable person he met.
"Chad, you smoke?" He just finished half of the cigarette when Detective Lee walked in front of him.
"Oh? You done with your work? Wanna go home?" He smiled, not answering his question because he knows that his partner will just scold him.
Cameron shook his head. "My work will never be finished unless I catch the culprit and figure out everything." He sighed and sat beside the officer.
"It's not just your work, it's ours." Devius placed his arms around the detective.
Cameron smiled and nodded. They stayed seated for quite some time before deciding to go home. Devius drove because he has the key and he also wanted his partner to take a break and rest while they were on their way home.
When they arrived, they did their usual routine before lying down the bed. Devius is lying on Cameron's arms.
"Cai, can I ask you something?" He mumbled.
"Mm-hmm."
"You said you'll tell me why you acted like that at the hospital, so what happened?" He looked up to Cameron.
Detective Lee sighed and looked at the ceiling. "I received a message and a photo from Red. It was you, sitting on the car. He said that he could shot you with his gun right at where you where that time. I got so scared, I've never left that scared all my life, Chad. Just the thought of losing you without having the chance to do something suffocates me." His voice sounded with different emotions which Devius is unable to read.
He just hugged Cameron tightly and said, "I'm sorry if I made you worried." He apologized.
Detective Lee shook his head. "No, I'm sorry if you are in danger because of me." He whispered.
"Don't say that, Cai. Our jobs coexisted with danger. Whether we knew each other or not, being a police officer and being a detective, we will always encounter danger."

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Let's sleep now." Cameron got himself comfortable and closed his eyes.
Moments later, he still couldn't fall asleep. When he looked at the time, it's already passed eleven in the evening. He looked down at Devius he is already sound asleep but Cameron was still awake. He got carefully got out of bed and went to get the envelope. He took out the photo and stared at it. He touched the name written behind it. He's hoping that by doing that, he could remember something. He's hoping that by staring at the photo, he could recall some memories of those kids and the photos.
"Lee Jin Hong, who are you? What is connection with me? What is your connection with my past?" He whispered, feeling problematic.
Cameron leaned on his chair and looked at the other photo of the two kids, both faces were scratched by a pen. He flipped it over but only saw some initials. He didn't get to see them earlier because he got to caught up with the one that has his picture as a kid.
"LYH & LHS." He read.
Cameron sighed, stood up and walked over to the window. He looked down but since it's already midnight, nothing more is seen aside from the trees and the empty street.
When Devius felt that Cameron wasn't sleeping beside him, he opened his eyes and saw the man standing in front of the window. He looks like he was deep in thought. Officer Chad got up and saw Detective Lee still holding the photo in his hand. He wanted to asked but looking at his partner, he knows he wasn't ready to tell him anything yet and he respects him. He will wait until his partner was ready to talk about it.
"Cai, you're still awake? It's already late." Officer Chad speak up, Detective Lee smiled and turned around.
"I couldn't sleep. I have too many things in my mind. I have too many questions but I couldn't get any answer." He responded.
"I know you're not ready to talk about the whatever it is with me yet but I just want you to know that if you need someone, I'm always beside you." He sincerely uttered.
Detective Lee walked to his direction, sat beside him and gave him a hug. "I never said this words to anyone before but I'm glad I met you. I'm lucky because you've been a part of my life, Devius." He said that in the most sincere way he could.
Those words caressed Devius' heart. "Cai, I know you had a tough life and if I could make everything easy for you, I'll do it without a second thought." He hugged him back.
"Thank you. Thank you for saying that. Your words made me feel at ease." He then broke their hug and Cameron gave him a kiss on the forehead.
Devius was caught of guard from surprised but moment after, he responded with a kiss on the Cameron's lips.

"Hey!" Detective Lee leaned backwards.
"Why?" Devius innocently asked.
"Who said you could do that?"
"Do what?"
"You...you stole a kiss. Stealing is a crime." Cameron's face turned red from embarrassment.
Officer Chad giggled. "Then I'll let you take it back." He teased but Cameron's face only became redder.
"Tss." He tried to turn to the other side but Devius cupped his face with his hands. "What?"
"Take it back, Cai." Devius mumbled as he make their lips touch again.
Their innocent kiss soon slowly became passionate and hot. It felt weird for Cameron but also comforting. He found himself slowly unbuttoning the officer's shirt before undoing his. From the officer's lips, Cameron moved his kiss to Devius' neck to his collarbone. Both their hearts were pounding crazily.
They're both nervous but eager to devour each other. Devius felt ticklish as the detective planted small traces of kisses on his neck down to his chest.
"Cai, w-wait." He bit his lower lips when Cameron sucked on his skin.
Hearing his partner's voice, Cameron looked at him. "Are you not ready for this? I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten out of control." He said in an embarrassed voice.
Officer Chad chuckled. "That's not what I mean."
"Huh?" Detective Lee looked confused.
Devius raised his hand and caress the man's face. "I just wanted to say, I don't have any experience with this so please be gentle." After saying that he took his face closer to Cameron and owned his lips.
"I will do my best to not hurt you." Detective Lee said in between their kisses.
Detective Lee carefully laid down Devius on the bed without breaking their kiss. They were both catching their breath when their lips separated. Cameron and Devius looked into each other's eyes, full of desire. Officer Chad wrapped his arms around the latter's neck, admiring his almost perfect face. Cameron lowered his face and begun kissing the officer again. He slowly went down and made sure that he got a taste of every inch of his body.
'Who would have thought that a man like me could fall in love with someone like you, Devius Wayne Chad.' Cameron thought as his heart pound wildly.
Devius closed his eyes and curved his back in pleasure. Every kisses that was planted in his skin, every breath that he felt in his skin from Cameron is giving him a mysterious sensation that took away his sanity. He felt his body getting hotter and hotter. All he could think was the desire inside him. He didn't even noticed when the detective removed all of their clothing.
"Ah~ Cai~" He moaned when Cameron took his thing inside his mouth. "C-Cai~ If you keep d-doing that... I-I'll cum..." He struggled to say while catching his breath.
When Detective Lee heard that, he smiled and said, "Do you want me inside you now or should I prepare you first?"
That question made Devius' face red like a riped tomato. "C-Cai, how could you asked that?" He shyly turned to looked away.
Cameron smirked. "I didn't know that Police Officer Devius Wayne Chad gets shy too." He teased.
"Hmp! I'm a person, Cai. I'm a very handsome person." He laughed.
"Indeed you are." Detective Lee agreed. "Then, I'll do what I think I should do. I promise I'll be gentle." He whispered and place his thing in front of the officer's hole.
Devius was nervous but excited at the same time. He turned to look at his partner who gave him a warm, reassuring smile. With that, all his nervousness vanished like smoke in thin air.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
Devius nodded. "Yes, I am, Cai."
The detective smiled and begun to slowly put his thing inside of his partner. Officer Chad winced after feeling the pain down there. He gripped his hands hard on the bedsheet as he bit his lower lips. A drop of tear came out of his eyes and when Cameron saw it, he leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"Don't just stay silent, you can tell me when it hurts, hmm?" He lovingly said.
Devius nodded. "I-It hurts a lot, Cai. I-I think it's ripped." He shyly said in a pouty lips.
"I'll just stay like this for a while, tell me when you're ready for me to move." He smiled and did as he said.
They stayed like that for while, waiting for Devius' signal for him to move. When he already feel comfortable, he kissed the detective on the cheek.
"You can move now, Cai." He whispered.
After hearing that, Cameron kissed him on the lips and started moving. He started from a slow pace then he begun moving a bit faster. He continued doing that until they both reached their climax. Detective Lee laid down beside Devius, feeling exhausted. Officer Chad embraced his partner.
"Devius, I love you." Those words came out of Cameron's mouth but he knows his heart spoke for him.
Devius smiled upon hearing it. "I love you too, Caiseus."
"Should we take a shower first before we sleep?" Detective Lee kissed his hair.
Officer Chad nodded. "Hmm. But I'm too tired to even stand up." He pouted.
"I'll prepare the bath first, then we can take a bath together." He winked.
"Hmm. I like that but you have to carry me to the bathroom later, Cai." Devius said in a sweet voice, leaving Detective Lee with no choice but to agree.
He pinched his partner's nose first before standing up and wrapping a blanket on his waist. Devius smiled while watching Cameron do that but the smile on Officer Chad's lips vanished when Cameron turned his back at him and a massive scar on his back was revealed. It wasn't a simple scar. It was a burnt scar.

NEWDIE STEADSLAW Part I
NEWDIE STEADSLAW is a randomized array of Chekhov's red herrings, non sequitors ex machina, run-on sentences, and em dashes—so many em dashes. It's like if the Bible and Shakespeare had a baby that they surrendered to foster care, then it got adopted by Alice in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss—the books, not the people—and then the baby fell down the stairs. In this metaphor, the stairs wrote the story. Part I is the tale of the adventures of Traycup and Roby as they try to hold down a job inside the hollow Earth—a place made possible thanks to the secret science of embargoed relativity—and they get distracted by dancing foxes, a giant's record collection, and something with a train, I think. It's a work of fiction—although to call it work seems insulting to, y'know, actual work—but the fiction label is apt, so, y'know, that's a win. Half the words are made up, and the other half are embarrassed to be seen with them. Part I is complete.
