You woke up and rubbed your eyes tiredly, you then remembered the egg your grandmother had given you, you smiled excitedly and swam out of bed and over to the little incubator in your room.

however as you looked in the incubator instead of seeing a neon white egg you saw a tiny newborn rainbow coloured beat drop button fish. She looked so cute and tiny.

The fish yawned and opened her eyes, looking up at you curiously. You opened the incubator and let the fish swim out, She looks around curiously, wondering what everythingshe was seeing was. She then saw you and slowly swam closer to you.

"Hello" You said softly

She looked up at you curiously, she then looked down ar your tale and made excited squeaking sounds, admiring your pixels.

You awwed and looked at the baby in awe, you He,d your hands out for her to swim on to and she did, she quickly paddled in pot your hands, looking up at you happily you stroked her head as softly as you could, causing the fish to Wriggle her antennas happily and make a soft purring noise, you chuckled and nuzzled her softly with you nose.

You had to show your dad

You swam out of your room and went looking for your dad to show him the baby.

You eventually found your dad in the throne room, however though, upon swimming closer you frowning when you saw that his colors were completely gone.

You stopped when you saw your grandmother talking to your dad, you stayed back, they looked like they were having a serious conversation and you didn't want to interrupt. Unfortunately you couldn't quite hear what they were talking about.

Your grandmother handed your dad some leafs and after a few more minutes of talking, she swam out of the front door.

Trollex looked down at the leaves with hatred, he clenched his fists and muttered something under his breath which you didn't hear, but that was probably a good thing.

He then noticed you and his expression instantly changed to a warm happy one. He swam over to you

"Good morning angelfish, did you sleep we-" he stopped when he noticed the baby beat drop button fish in your hands

"Ah the egg hatched" he said happily, Beat came over, smiling at the baby.

"Yeah, she's so tiny and cute" you said, rubbing her head gently with your thumb

"Hey little one, do you wanna play tag?" Beat asked

The baby instantly looked up and looked confused as if she was asking 'what's tag?' She asked

Your dad and beat awwed at her "aww she's so cute" your dad said, petting her antennas

Beat chuckled and said "I'll show you what it is"

The baby swam out of your hands and followed Beat.

You both chuckled as you watched them chase each other.

Your dad turned to you "what's her name?" He asked

You thought for a minute "how about Iris?"

Iris stops and repeats the name a few times, and looks like she likes it.

Trollex chuckled "she likes it"

You smiled as Iris continued to play with beat "yeah she dose"

After a while of watching Iris play, your dad told you that you were heading to pop village/Trollstopia to visit a florist your dad had sent a letter out to Poppy asking for help with it and she agreed, Branch and Synth were also coming along to help out when they heard the situation, Synth was coming for support and Branch was coming to help investigate.

You had arrived at pop village, when you exited the caterpillar bus you saw Poppy and Branch.

Poppy came over to you both, looking at Trollex in worry when she saw his colors were gone. She wanted to try and cheer him up as best she could, she simply couldn't help herself when she saw a troll sad, but Branch had told her to just give him time and not to try and force cheering him up, as it might make him worse...

"Hey Trollex, Hey Y/n, it's good to see you guys again" she said gently hugging you both, you returned the hug.

"Hey Poppy, it's good to see you again too" Trollex said, managing a soft smile.

"Glow stick Lexy!" You heard a familiar voice say excitedly

You were scooped up into a hug that you instantly returned, Synth then turned to his brother and froze, the usual happy smile on his was gone and replaced with a frown of worry and shock as he looked his brother up and down, frowning when he saw his older brother completely grey.

"Uhh, hey big bro...how are you doing?" Synth asked, giving his brother a sad/worried look and trying to sound cheerful to maybe lift the king of techno's mood a little.

Trollex sighed sadly "I....I could be better" he decided to change the subject "so, Poppy, you said that you know a troll that runs a flower shop right?"

Poppy nodded "Yeah, her name is Belladonna, she also sells herbs too, I figured she out of all the other pop troll florists might know the type of herbs and plants Creek put into the tea, if we talk to her we might discover something"

Trollex nodded "ok, let's go"

You all made your way to the shop, once you got there, the whole place had a calming feeling to it, the shop itself had a nice pink colour, the doors and windows were a nice cyan colour too and the place was covered in wall flowers and surrounded by various different beautiful flowers.

You all went inside and much like outside, the place was filled with flowers, expect there were a few herbs on the shelves too.

The walls were a sky blue colour and had paintings of flowers bumblebees and butterflies on them, it was very beautiful here.

A pink troll with magenta coloured hair came from behind the front desk, she had a yellow dress on with with sunflowers on it and green leaves in her hair, she also had two different coloured eyes, the left was green while the right was brown.

"Oh my gosh king Trollex, Prince Synth and Queen Poppy!? it's such and honer to have you in my shop" she said in a cheery tone

Her eyes landed on you "oh...and princess Y/n, it's...nice to see you" She said dryly, sounding like she was secretly angry about something "anyway, what brings you here your majesties?" She asked

Poppy came over "oh yeah, Trollex was given some leaves and he needs help identifying the type to see if there poisonous"

"Ah let me see" Belladonna said taking the leaves from Trollex She examined them "hmmm yeah these are definitely poisonous alright, five of these can kill an adult cuddle pup in a hour, there called oleanders, nasty things" she muttered, frowning softly.

Trollex flinched, the thought of M/n having had that kind of Poison in her system made him feel sick, Synth noticed his brother's discomfort and placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. Looking at him sadly.

You were busy admiring the flowers, you weren't paying attention to the conversation going on behind you, suddenly Iris flew out of your hair and into a room that had a sign on the door saying ''

You panicked a little and flew after her.

You entered the room she had gone in and froze at what you saw, there were glasses full of liquid, they all had a label on them saying one word

Poison

Why would she have these?

You flew closer to them, each one also had a symbol of the plant the liquid came from, you then spotted something, there was one label that had a oleander symbol, the same thing the tea leaves came from.

You stared at it in shock for a few minutes, why would she have this? Why did she have Poison?

You grabbed the Orleans glass and carefully placed it in your hair, making sure it wouldn't fall out.

You picked Iris up and flew out of the room as quickly as possible.

You flew back into the main room, you hoped no one noticed you were gone...

Unfortunately luck wasn't on your side, when you got back everyone had apparently gone looking for you

"There she is" Poppy said pointing at you

Your uncle and father looked at you, they looked worried

"Glow stick, where'd you go?" Synth asked, looking concerned

"Y/n where did you go? you can't run off like that!" Your dad said, flying up to you and picking you up, he didn't look angry, just more worried.

"Sorry daddy, I got bored so I went outside to get fresh air" you said

"Ok sweetie, but maybe tell one of us where your going before you disappear ok?" Your dad said softly

"Ok daddy" you said snuggling into his chest

You then noticed Belladonna was looking at you suspiciously.

You instinctively tightened your hold around your dad's waist and pulled Iris closer protectively.

However though, as everyone turned back to Belladonna, the look of suspicion on her face changed into a friendly smile.

"Anyway, thank you for the help Belladonna, we'll leave you alone now" Trollex said putting you down.

She smiled so wide that it hurt your face just looking at her "your welcome~" she said in an overly cheery sing sing voice.

You all walked out of the door, however though you felt a hand enter your hair and search around for something...

Wait!

!!

It hit you

You looked over at your dad, uncle, Poppy and Branch who were walking away, completely unaware of what was going on "Daddy help!" You cried out

Trollex turned around looking worried, when he saw Belladonna near you looking angry he instantly zoomed over and tore her hands away from you, the others also rushed over having also heard your cries.

You looked around for Iris, you then noticed that she was hiding behind a plant pot, shaking.

You picked her up and pet her hoping to calm her down, Synth came over and stood in front of you protectively

"Are you ok Glow stick?" He asked

You nodded and hugged Iris closer.

Once Trollex saw you were unharmed, he turned his attention back to Belladonna "what is wrong with you!? What were you doing to my baby!?" He yelled angrily

Belladonna frowned "I just wanted to put this flower in her hair" she said pulling up a pink flower "I don't why she cried"

You rolled your eyes at her awful attempt at lying, "Are you sure about that?" You asked as you pulled the liquid filled glass out of your hair and handed it to Poppy "me and Iris accidentally ended up in a room full of toxic plant liquids, and I found one that looks like the same type of poison as the tea leaves"

Poppy looked at it and Branch leaned over her shoulder to get a better look.

The queen of pop gasped "it is the same as the tea leaves!" She cried in shock

Branch looked at Belladonna, glaring at her "Belladonna, why do you have this?" He asked sternly

Belladonna said nothing for a few seconds, smiling, she knew she was busted.

she suddenly slowly reached into her hair, and pulled out what looked like a smoke bomb "goodbye!" She said slyly, smiling mischievously, she then threw it on the ground, causing this pollen like dust to spread everywhere making you and everyone else itchy as hell.

Belladonna, seeing everyone was now distracted, and Trollex had let go of her to scratch the irritating itches, quickly ran off as fast as she possibly could, she also used her hair to swing from branches to pick up speed.

Once the Pollen cleared and you all stopped itching, Trollex looked around for any sign of the evil pop troll, once he realised she had escaped he flew into a rage.

"Dammit!" He yelled picking up a nearby plant pot and throwing it at the flower shop wall, causing the pot to smash into pieces.

He turned to Synth and the pop troll couple, looking livid "we need to get her back right now!" He yelled, furious.

Branch and Poppy looked at each other worriedly, Poppy raised her arms in a defence like way, looking at the king of techno sympathetically "Trollex, buddy...take it easy ok? we'll find her, just try to calm down ok?" She said softly, like she was trying to calm an angry child.

Trollex looked at her in disbelief, before the angry look appeared on his face again "seriously!? I just found out there's another one of my wife's murders and she was right in our grasp and escaped and your telling me to calm down!?"

Trollex had never been so angry in his life, none of it was directed to the pop troll couple or his brother, but....he just could not stay calm right now, but who could after finding out there loved one was murdered and that the murderer was still out there.

You had sat on a nearby bench watching your dad yell at Poppy, Branch and your uncle, you were petting Iris and talking to her, apparently as more time had gone by she had began to start talking some more.

"Is he always like this?" Iris asked, looking up at you

You shook your head "not all the time, he's just been having a rough time lately" you replied, fiddling with one of her multicoloured antennas which made her laugh a little. You smiled at her, your heart melting at how cute she was, you only knew this baby for a day and a half but if anything happened to her you would go insane.

You turned your attention back to your dad who was still yelling at everyone, you frowned sadly when you noticed his colours had completely faded, there was no trace of any colour on him at all, he was completely black and white now....

Branch, Synth and Poppy looked at each other in concern when Trollex's colours completely faded, worry crept up there spines, especially Synth's, the last time he saw his older brother this upset was when M/n died, Branch gave Trollex a sad look, he could sympathise with him here, since he too knew what it was like to be miserable and depressed, hell, he had been that way for 20 years!

The pop troll sighed trying to think of what to say to calm the angry king "Trollex, look....I know exactly how you feel, really I do, but yelling at everyone will not help or make the situation any better, just take a deep breath and please try to calm down, we will find her, I promise" said Branch, looking at the techno troll warily.

Trollex was still angry, it was easy to see by him huffing like an angry bull, tremble with rage and the fact that he was glaring at the ground so venomously that it even unnerved Branch a little.

Everyone stood back out of instinct, just in case he decided to throw some punches. He hadn't calmed down at all, but at least he had stopped yelling.

He sighed exhaustedly, running a hand down his now grey face, he turned to you and flew over to where you were, you looked up at him warily, you felt the tension lessen when you saw his expression softening a little.

"Y/n, we're going home" he said quietly, you nodded and instantly got up, Trollex turned back to the pop trolls and said "please start a search party as soon as you can, I want her found as soon as possible"

Poppy nodded while Branch was was busy examining the liquid, trying to see if there were anymore clues.

Trollex turned back and flew in the direction of the bus stop with you and Beat following.

Poppy and Branch gave him one last concerned look, Synth sighed, also looking worried "I'll go talk to him" he said to the pop trolls before zooming off. He had dealt with Trollex having breakdowns in the past, usually during the time M/n had passed away, both the stress of being king and the loss of his wife would bring Trollex to tears by the end of the day, he was just strong for too long... he had a habit of bottling his emotions up.

Luckily though both Synth himself and Bliss would be right there to comfort him and bring him back up on his fins, it was easy to make him feel better.

However though, this time was different, and Synth had a feeling that it wouldn't be so easy to make his older brother feel better. But he still had to try right?

You were following your dad, you and Beat were looking at him worriedly, you hated seeing him like this, but there was nothing you could do to help him at the moment...

"Hey Lex, Wait up a second"

You all turned around at the familiar voice to see Synth, he had a worried expression on his face, looking at Trollex sadly.

"Hey bro, are you gonna be ok?" He asked softly, placing a comforting hand on his brother's shoulder, hoping to at least calm him a little.

Trollex sighed, "I don't know" he muttered, he was desperately trying not to snap at Synth, after all, the guy was just trying to help him and make him feel better, but right now...he felt like he was going to explode.

You sensed your father's agitation worsening and backed away, looking up at him worriedly, however though, Synth, unfortunately, didn't.

The prince of techno wrapped his arm around his older brother, giving him a warm smile. "Come on bro, talk to me, I'm here for you" Synth said softly

Trollex sighed, glaring at the floor angrily, you backed away more, looking more concerned, you and Beat glanced at each other in worry, unsure of what to do, he was going to snap, you could feel it.

"Synth, bro. I just found out my wife was murdered and not only is there one murder still out there but now there's two, Y/n's safety is on the line and everyone is telling me to stay calm! " He yelled suddenly, making everyone jump out of there skin, Iris quickly retreated into your hair, whimpering in fear.

Trollex was huffing angrily, shaking with rage and glare into at the ground venomously once more, Synth backed away in surprise and fear, looking at him worriedly.

Synth then flew up to his brother and once again wrapped his arm around him comfortingly, giving him a reassuring smile "woah hey easy bro just relax and calm down a little, everything will be fine, we'll catch both of them and everything will be ok, so just take a deep breath and try to calm down, ok? Synth said soothingly

"Calm down?" Trollex said calmly, slowly looking at his younger brother

"Uhhh....yeah?" Synth said, looking confused but nervous, you and Beat were now ten feet away, watching the scene nervously

"Calm down!?" Trollex yelled

"Uh Lex, come on bro-" Synth began but was interrupted

" Trollex yelled, his voice sounding like a glitchy computer, you and Synth both jumped in surprise at the sudden outburst.

"For crying out loud Synth, What did I just say to you!?" He yelled angrily, punching a nearby tree

"But I....you just...I'm just trying to make you feel better!" Synth said, looking hurt and raising his hands in a surrender like way

"Feel better!? Again, My kids life is on the line I just found out there's not one but two of my wife's murders running around and yet you have the audacity to tell me to calm down seriously!?" Trollex yelled

You and Tbdb stood by, you both wanted to stop the possible upcoming argument but at the same time you didn't want to get dragged into it.

"Trollex I'm sorry, it's just that I'm worried about you! You lost your colors and your just so angry and distant all the time, I don't blame you for acting that way really I don't, but....it's just awful seeing you like this bro, I wanna help you" synth said, looking at his brother sadly

Trollex stared at him for a few minutes, until he sighed tiredly, he glanced back at you and noticed the worried look on your face, his expression softened to a sad one, and he slowly began to calm down, he turned back to Synth and looked at him apologetically

"I'm sorry Syn, it's just been really hard for me lately because.....well, you know..." he trailed off, looking down at the ground sadly.

Synth placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, giving him a sad smile "you don't have to apologise Lex, I get it, just know that I'm here for you if you ever need to talk to someone, ok?" Synth said softly

Trollex smiled at him sadly "thanks Synth"

"anyway you should go catch your bus, you don't wanna miss it, but....you will be ok though, right?" Synth asked, looking a little worried
