《Trollex》It Chose Wrong

Once Echo had stopped, Trollex looked around and saw they were far away from Te Mate.

Trollex checked on TBDB in the saddlebag, "Are you ok?"

TBDB answered, "Yeah, but wow! What a wild trip that was!"

Trollex then noticed Maui, "Are you ok?"

No answer.

"Maui?"

Maui turned around and showed him...his damaged fishhook.

Maui then said, "What part of 'turn back' wasn't clear?"

Trollex answered, "I thought we could make it."

"We?"

"I thought...I could make it."

He then said, "Maybe we can fix it?"

Maui harshly answered, "It was made by the gods. You can't fix it!"

Trollex just said, "Next time, we'll be more careful."

He then prepared Echo for another voyage.

"Te Mate was stuck on the barrier islands. She's made of lava, she can't go in the water. We can find a way around."

However, Maui said, "I'm not going back."

"Wh-what?"

"You heard me."

"But, we...we still have to restore the heart."

"My hook is cracked. One more hit, and it's over."

"Maui, you have to restore the heart."

"Without my hook, I am nothing."

"That's not true."

Maui shouted out, "Let me say that again! Without my hook, I am nothing!"

TBDB dug deeper into the saddlebag.

Echo listened with concern.

Maui then dropped the heart.

Trollex picked it up and said, "We are only here...because you stole the heart in the first place!"

"No, we're here because the ocean told you you're special and you believed it."

Trollex started to get upset, "I am Prince Trollex of Techno Reef. You will board my whale..."

"Goodbye, Trollex."

"...voyage across the sea..."

"I'm not killing myself so you can prove you're something you're not!"

"...and restore the heart of Te Ora! The ocean chose me!"

Maui coldly said, "It chose wrong."

Trollex teared up as Maui shapeshifted into a hawk and left.

"Maui!"

Maui flew away, not even looking back.
