A week later

Elma's p o v

Lately,Suleiman has been busy with business & I dunno what. He is fasting today.I also dunno why..He read ⅓ of Quran as well.Its good that he has improved a lot. But his sudden silence is painful.

After magrib's prayer I'm now helping maids to make dinner till I got a call from Sarah. I picked it up

[On call]

Sarah:Assalamualaikum darling

Me: walaikumussalam babe. How are you?

Sarah: Alhamdulillah. What about you? And my brother in law and nephew/niece?

Me: Alhamdulillah all fine. How's your family?

Sarah: Alhamdulillah. Umm I want to say something

Me: go ahead

Sarah: You know about Faizan?

Me: umm umm yeah your cousin. Who has a big crush on YOU, but never proposed?

Sarah: yeah

Me: You'll be lying if you say you dont like him..You just want him to propose first

Sarah: yeah,you know Yesterday night,he proposed me in front of our whole family. My parents were so happy. I accepted his proposal happily. Later on I got to know that my parents & his parents have already talked about our wedding.

Me:omo gurrrrll congratulations. Im so happpppy for yoouuuu

Sarah: Thanks darling. Do pray

Me: when will it take place?

Sarah: after 7 months.As he has to go out of city for 3 months due to business issues. Dont worry I'll bring him the day after tomorrow

Me: okay but why?

Sarah: oh no shoot. I meant im sorry.It slipped Out of my mouth idk why

Me: oh ok ok. We need to meet Its been a month since you last visited.

Sarah : in shaa Allah we'll meet soon

I could sense she is smirking

Me: anyways, what's your plan for now?

We talked for half an hour then hung up.I started making dinner again

Maid: ma'am we can do it. You should take rest

Me: no, I would get bore if I always just take rest..& call me Elma.whats with ma'am & formality? its been almost 7 Months you guys still Didn't stop calling me Ma'am

Maid : sorry ma'am I meant Elma sis.Have you checked baby's gender yet?

Me: no, actually I don't want to.. I will be happy with whatever Allah will bless me with.Just pray so that I have a healthy baby.

Maid :In shaa Allah sis. Its 20th October. Only 3 months left to be blessed with a new member

Me: huh? Its 20th October. Omo the day after tomorrow is my birthday

Suddenly I started behaving weird. Like how could I forget it? Does Suleiman know? Has he remember it or did he forget it? He can cause lately he has been very busy..What if he actually forgets it? Oh no ill be super sad. Even thinking of this is making me feel sad. I'll try to ask Him today..

After dinner

Me: suleiman

Suleiman : hm?

Me: what day is today?

Suleiman gave me a confusing look

Suleiman : probably 20th October. Why?

Me: nothing..I was wondering if something special is coming.

Suleiman averted his gaze

Suleiman :I Don't think so..Anyways, I will go to Singapore tomorrow. Could you pack my clothes? Actually, I will do it. You take rest. I'll be back in a week or more

Me: whatttt? Are you kidding me?

Suleiman : why would I?

Me: you are telling me now??

Suleiman : I was just so busy. Now stop shouting & Sleep.I have to leave early.

Me: Just do whatever you want

Suleiman : hm you just sleep

I went to sleep, back facing him..after a minute he stood up.Probably going to pack his clothes. This man ugghhh. I'll just sleep
