Getting home from my long shift at the diner, I walk in to see John walking out of the bathroom with a towel around him.

He looks up and gives me a sad smile. "Hey Natasha... I'm really sorry for what I said... I was just angry because you were still annoyed with me and flat out rejected me coming only to have my mate tell me how sexy you looked... it's not an excuse or anything but hearing him talk like that just set me off."

I kind of could see why he was angry but he was still hurtful.

"You didn't have to say what you said though... I wasn't flirting or even dancing with a guy... me and Sarah were just having fun." I reply sadly.

He walks up slowly before wrapping his arms around me. I hesitate before returning his hug.

"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean any of it. I've been a terrible partner lately..."

I smile up at him, missing being close with him. Realising that in the last 2 months, I barely see him.

"Come on. Let's spend a night together. We can go out or order in, watch a movie. What do you think?" I ask him.

"That sounds great, babe! You pick the movie and I'll order chinese." He walks off to get dressed.

After picking Dr. Strange, I go to see what's taking so long. Going to our room, I can hear him murmuring.

"Gotta stay in tonight... I'm sorry..."

I cautiously knock incase it's work, hearing him say his goodbye before answering. He opens the door with a smile but it doesn't reach his eyes.

"You ok? If you were ment to be working tonight, you could have told me. I know how much it means to you and I'd never want to hold you back..." I say, trying to hide the sadness.

"No, it's fine. Nothing that can't wait until morning babe. Come on, what are we watching?" He smiles at me.

I tell him and he grins at me, "Awesome, I've been wanting to watch that. You're the best, babe."

I give him a weak smile, feeling something off but ignore it.

I simply enjoy the night with him for once. Enjoying what I didn't realize I missed.
