《The Monster Inside ➺ Scott. M》Chapter 42

Scott, Lydia, Stiles, malia and kira sat in Scott's living room, watching tv. They were enjoyibg the last days together as a group; before some of them had to go back back to New Orleans.
Stiles is staying with Malia since she cannot control herself on the full moon yet. If she went back, it would be dangerous for her and people around her. It would also make her an easy target for the vampires.
Lydia, Scott and Kira were going back to New Orleans; they are able to help Astrid and her siblings.
Scott suddenly got off the couch, walking to the kitchen to get a drink. While he was pouring some water into a cup, he was unaware that Kira was walking towards him with a smirk on her face. Ever since they came back, kira was more clingy and flirtatious towards Scott, making everyone in the group uncomfortable.
"Can you pour me some water as well?" She asked, scaring the teenager slightly. He turned around quickly, nodding gently, taking the cup from her and pouring some water.
Kira walked closer towards him, staring at him admiringly, making the him uncomfortable. "There" he said quickly, handing her the cup and walking away from the kitsune. He was glad that they were going back to New Orleans soon; kira would stop behaving that way.

Astrid went downstairs, wearing black, tight, ripped jeans matched with black high heels. She also wore a beige sweater, her hair straight, and natural make-up on her face.
She walked into a room where Klaus was currently pouring some blood into a glass, the blood was, of course, straight from a girl's wrist. Rebekah sat with him, watching him drain the girl. The two sat in uncomfortable silence.
"Have you spoken to our good friend, Marcel?" Niklaus asked Rebekah, breaking the silence. He smiled at Astrid as she entered the room.
"No, should I have?" Rebekah replied, drinking tea. Astrid walked towards the table and sat next to Rebekah, pouring herself some tea as well.

"Well, he's been mysteriously silent, avoiding me, some might say. I thought, perhaps, he may have whispered reasons into your ear along with all of those sweet nothings."
"If I see him, I'll be sure to ask-" Rebekah answered straight away, making Astrid think that maybe she's hiding something from them. "- If he's still sore at you."
"Let me give a voice to that look in your eyes." Niklaus said, sitting next to Astrid, staring into Rebekah's eyes. "My saintly, noble brother lies writhing in agony in the Bayou, victim of my bastard brother's bite when just one or two drops of his, or my sister's blood would ease his pain." He said rather calmly.
"On the contrary, Nik." Rebekah answered, not letting Nik get to her. "I am simply enjoying my Brekkie. Waiting for Elijah's healthy return."
Astrid sighed, whispering 'oh boy', not wanting to get involved in the argument. She simply listened to the two while they bickered.
"Oh, come on, Rebekah, you've been giving me the Devil's eye all morning. Out with it. Right, trid?" Nik gently elbowed Astrid.
The older sister put her hands up, raising her eyebrows "sorry, Nik. I'm not getting involved." She scoffed with a smile as he brother sent her a glare.
"Nik, perhaps I'm concerned that if I voice my opinion about what you did to Elijah, I will end up on the wrong side of your toxic hybrid teeth." She said in a monotone voice.
Nik slapped the table and pointed at Rebekah, clearly annoyed "poppycock. I would never bite you."
Astrid slapped his hand "don't you know, it's rude to point your finger at people. Manners, Nik." She smiled innocently, trying to ease the tension.
Nik sighed "Elijah made some very offensive accusations about my intentions towards my child." Nik explained "he deserves a day or two of discomfort. Besides, you know my preferred method of punishment for your indiscretions is the dagger."

Rebekah chuckled and stood up, leaning on the table while looking into Nik's eyes "there's something fundamentally wrong with you." She spoke, walking away "with both of you, actually." She added before she left.
"I have done nothing to piss her off today, yet, she's still against me..." Astrid rolled her eyes. "It's all on you, Nik." Astrid sighed, putting a grape in her mouth.
"Blame it on me, why don't you." Nik replied, offended.
"Well, you did say you left Elijah there so that he'd suffer. You know he's her favourite." She told him while he sighed, knowing Astrid's right.
"She's hiding something." Astrid added after sitting in silence for a while.
"I know." Nik said in a raspy voice, looking out the window.

Rebekah neared a bar where Tyler was telling Marcel and his vampires the truth about Nik.
"We were... supernaturally loyal to him." Tyler spoke, the vampires listening to the hybrid.
"Right, and that's why you're here spilling all his secrets?" One of the vampires asked, not trusting Tyler.
"No. That's the point, Diego." Marcel said, staring at one of the vampires. "He figured out a way to break free of it."
"And I helped the rest of them, too." Tyler said, pausing for a few seconds. "But then Klaus killed them for their betrayal."
Rebekah then entered the bar, startling the vampires. "Because that is what Klaus does. Don't mind me, I'm fascinated by this story. Hello, Tyler" the blonde smiled at the Hybrid.
"Rebekah. Long time, No see."
"What Tyler was about to tell you is that my brother can use his baby's blood to sire more hybrids. What you will all figure out is that vampires don't stand a chance. Especially since he has, And always had, a bloody tribrid on his side."
"Wait a second, what do you mean 'tribrid'?" One of the vampires questioned, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.
"Marcel hasn't told you, has He?" Rebekah said, shaking her head at Marcel. "My sister, Astrid is a witch, werewolf, and a vampire. She's the strongest of us all, and she always will be." Rebekah said. "Good news is, she's a lot more forgiving than Nik, she can be a good person. Bad news; she can be even worse than Nik, especially when it comes to family. Since Nik cares about that child, she will do anything to protect it. I bet she'd even kill me if she had to." Rebekah spoke, the vampires looked at each other, breathing in harshly. She then smiled and looked at Tyler "I assume you were trying to rally this lot into making sure the baby isn't born."
"Yeah. You don't like it, go ahead and take your brother's side, but you know I'm right." Tyler said, standing up.
"I believe you've mistaken the lady's intentions." Marcel told Tyler.
"Alright. What's going on?" Diego questioned.
"You're absolutely right, Tyler." Rebekah said "My brother is a crap enough individual as it is. The last thing he need is to sire a superior species. Go on. You can tell them."
"She's not here to fight us." Marcel said, revealing his white teeth as he smiled. "She's here to help us."
"That's right." She said, looking at Tyler with narrowed eyes. "But first--" she snapped Tyler's neck, sitting on his seat. "Whew, that is enough talk about harming that baby. Klaus and Astrid are the ones we're putting a stop to."
