Astrid, Lydia and Isaac sat on a bench in the sheriffs station. Scott's and Astrid's hands intertwined as they thought about their fallen friend.

Astrid was not close with the girl but she still liked her. What hurt Astrid the most was seeing another one of her friends get killed. Some may think that she should be used to it, and to some extent she is. But after watching so many people in her life die, she sometimes has to let herself breakdown.

Astrid walked towards Deaton in the animal clinic with Scott and Lydia.

"Stiles and kira said it was the Nemeton that kept it trapped." Scott told Deaton.

"The problem Is this isn't even a person you're fighting." Deaton told the three. "It just looks like one. It's a spirit that's taken a shape of a human."

"The shape if my best friend" Scott said.

"Someone caught it once." Lydia said. "Someone can do it again, right?"

"I don't know" Deaton admitted. "This thing was trapped a long time ago, before the Nemeton was cut down. It doesn't have the same power anymore."

"Is there anything that does?" Scott asked.

"Possibly. When the tree was whole, it's wood was sometimes used to contain powerful objects. But those objects are very rare."

"Wait a second. Powerful objects?" Lydia asked. "Like an Alpha's claws?"

"That depends on which Alpha you're talking about" Astrid told the strawberry-blonde.

"Talia Hale." Lydia paused as the three stared at her. "Peter had them in this wooden box with a triskele carved on the lid. What if it was made from the Nemeton?"

"It was" Deaton told her.

"How do you know?" Astrid asked him.

"Because I made it."

"Knock knock" someone said and the four turned around to see a brunette man in his 20s.

"Kai" Astrid said surprised and Kai winked at her.

Isaac and Chris Argent looked at Allison's silver arrowheads she made the night she died.

"Why would she make four of these?" Chris questioned.

"She made five" Isaac told him. "She made the first one, then she figured it out. She used the first silver arrowhead to kill one of the Oni. We saw her do it."

"How?" Chris questioned.

"The same way that you almost did. Do you remember when you told us about one of your first gun deals, the yakuza?"

"That meeting wasn't one of my first deals. It was my first deal."

"The bullet that you used to shoot the Oni. Was that a silver bullet?" Isaac asked the older hunter.

"Yes." Chris paused. "But it didn't kill him. It just broke his mask."

"Probably went straight through. What if silver is like poison to them?What if it needs to stay in the body? What if that's what she was trying to tell Scott? What if that's what she was trying to tell you, that she'd figured it out?"

"These four would've still be setting when she went off to meet Scott" Chris said as he touched one of the arrowheads.

"We could stop them."

"No. We can kill them."

Scott, kira, Lydia, Stiles and Kai left the blue jeep while Astrid vamp sped towards them.

"I mean I guess I liked my brother, Joey." Kai said as everyone stared at him. "We played Dr.Mario together and He'd always win. Actually one of my favourite memories is when I finally beat him. Of course, my favourite memory is when I beat him to death"

"Kai, darling. Do you mind shutting up?" Astrid asked with a sweet smile on her face.

"Sure, beautiful" Kai smirked and they all walked towards the school.

"Wait!" Kai said before they entered the school. They all turned around to look at him, confused. "I need magic, 'trid" he told the tribrid.

Astrid gave him her hand and he grabbed her forearm. Astrid groaned loudly as her forearm was glowing red. Everyone stared at them with horrified faces. Kai let go and smirked at her.

"You're such a pain in the arse" Astrid told him as she walked through the double doors.

When they walked though the school doors, they were not at school. They were in a garden filled with snow. The chilly air made the humans in the group shiver.

"This... Is definitely not the school." Kai said as he turned around. "And the doors are gone. Fantastic"

"He talks more than me" said weak Stiles who had red eyes. He was slowly losing strength.

"I do talk quite a lot." Kai admitted. "But you loved when I talked a lot back in 1994, Astrid" Kai smirked at her.

Astrid sighed. "Kai... can you stop yapping for 5 minutes?" Astrid asked him.

"Dude... you good?" Kai asked someone which made everyone turn around. They saw the nogitsune with a bandage on its face and hands.

"Kai... that's the nogitsune" she told him as she pushed him behind her protectively.

"Awww... you still care about me" Kai smiled.

"Shut it." She snapped at him which made him pout.

"Like I promised, Stiles." The nogitsune said as it walked towards the group. "We're going to kill all of them. One by one." It shouted as it's voice became deeper with each word.

"Fuck!" Kai shouted when one of the Oni appeared behind him. Astrid growled at the demon, her yellow eyes glowing. "You broke the curse" Kai said fascinated.

"Go behind me, Malachai" Astrid told him.

"Uh oh... I'm in trouble" Kai laughed as he walked behind Astrid.

"What the hell is This? Where are we?" Scott asked the nogitsune.

Kai poked Astrid's back, making her glare at him. She turned around and he continued poking her, smiling widely at his vampire friend.

"Would you stop That?" Astrid shouted as she turned around and grabbed his arm.

"Kai Parker" the nogitsune said in the deep voice, making some of them shudder. The Oni disappeared.

"In the flesh" Kai smirked at the demon.

"You're like me... you like chaos... and suffering" Kai looked at the nogitsune. "You could join me. We'd be unstoppable."

Kai took a step forward, arguing with himself whether he should join him or not. It was a tempting offer.

Astrid grabbed his arm as Kai looked over his shoulder to look at her. Her eyes begging him not to do it. Kai sighed loudly as he took a step back, Astrid smiling in relief.

"I would but... Astrid is like the only person in the world I tolerate." He suddenly opened a bag of pork rinds as he put one in his mouth. "I'm not going to betray."

"Where did you get that from?" Stiles questioned as he looked at the pork rinds.

"Magic" Kai wiggled his fingers. He turned to Astrid "want one?". She smiled and took a pork rind, putting it in her mouth. She walked towards him, staring at the nogitsune.

"Thank you, kai" she thanked him with a smile, glad that he stayed on her side.

"What the hell is This? Where are we?" Scott asked the nogitsune.

"Between life and death" the nogitsune replied.

"Bardo" Lydia said.

"But there are no peaceful deities here, Lydia. You're dying, Stiles. And now everyone you care about is dying, too." Nogitsune said as it took small steps, walking towards the group.

"What? What do you mean?" Stiles asked the demon fox.

"I've captured almost all of the territories on the board, Stiles." The nogitsune said as the Oni appeared once again. "The hospital. The sheriff's station. And now the animal clinic."

"I Bloody hate demons" Astrid muttered, clearly nervous. Kai grabbed her hand, trying to comfort her. He loved like a sister. She always accepted him for him and never tried changing him. She always looked out for him, even protecting him from his family sometimes. "Thanks" Astrid muttered.

"Do you know the ritual of seppuku, Stiles?" The nogitsune asked Stiles.

"No, and I don't want to" Stiles answered.

"When a samurai disembowels himself with his own sword to maintain his honour, but that's not the cut that kills him. The killing stroke is made by his kaishakunin, who beheads the samurai with his own katana." He then looked at Scott and pointed at him. "Scott... Scott is your kaishakunin. I'm going to make your best friend kill you, Stiles. And you're going to let him. Because just like you, they're all going to die. Everyone touched by an Oni's blade." He was now a meter away from Stiles. "Unless Scott kills you first."

"Why? Why are you doing this?" Stiles asked.

"To win the game." He said as the Oni pointed their swords at them. Scott turned into his werewolf form. His red glowing eyes staring at the Oni while more hair grew on his cheeks and arms. His long claws ready for the attack.

Astrid's eyes turned yellow and red at the same time. Black veins under her eyes and werewolf fangs grew from her teeth. Kai stared at her amazed.

Kira took our her sword, ready for the attack while Lydia and Stiles stood together, hugging.

"Kai... protect those two." Astrid pushed him towards Lydia and Stiles.

"Incendia" he muttered as a circle of fire surrounded them, stopping the Oni from walking towards them.

Kira, Scott and Astrid fought with the Oni, protecting their friends. They were strong, very strong. It seemed as if they were stronger than before. Astrid broke some of their necks, slowing the Oni down. Two of the Oni then walked behind her and pushed the sword though her body, the ends of the swords sticking out on the other side, covered in blood.

"Astrid!" Kai shouted as Astrid fell on her knees. She felt the poison from the swords travel through her body as she watched the other two fight. She felt as if the swords were taking her energy... her life force. "Get up for God's sake! You're a Mikealson! The strongest one. I know you can do it!" He shouted, not wanting his only friend to die. "Please..." he said quietly, knowing that Astrid could still hear him "...sister". Astrid looked at him with a smile as a tear rolled down her cheek.

She groaned as she moved forward, the swords leaving her body. She got back up and growled as she turned around to look at the two oni. Their glowing eyes staring right into her dead soul. She grabbed their swords and shoved them through their bodies. They fell on the ground, temporarily dead.

"I'm happy you care..." Astrid smiled at Kai as he glared at her "... brother" his face softened as he sent her a small smile before she went back to fighting with the demons, helping the other two.

"Someone get on the box!" Derek shouted, referring to the box made from the Nemeton's wood. He and the twins were also fighting with the Oni near the school.

Aiden stared at the box, ready to run at it but two Onis appeared next to it. "I hate ninjas" Aiden growled as he ran at the 'demonic ninjas'. He began fighting with the demons, their swords slashing his skin while he tried to ignore the pain.

Kira dropped the sword, two oni's surrounding her with their swords aimed at her. Astrid and Scott were still fighting with the Onis as the sword fell into the circle. Kai too busy watching Astrid and maintaining the circle of fire to realise. Stiles grabbed the sword and put it against his stomach.

"Stiles, No!" Scott shouted.

"Stiles... don't do this." Astrid told him before one of the Oni kicked her leg and she fell on the ground.

Kai closed his eyes, using the magic he had left to strengthen the circle.

"Stiles!" Scott growled.

Astrid stoop up, looking at Kai for a second. His nose was now bleeding.

"What If it saves you? What if it saves all of you?" Stiles told Scott.

"What If it's just another trick?" Lydia argued.

"No more tricks, Lydia" the nogitsune told her. "End It, Scott. Let your friend fall on his own sword. Do for him what he cannot do for himself."

Kai groaned as the circle disappeared, falling on his knees as Astrid rushed to him, helping him stand as she held him up. "Magic is hard" he said, panting.

"Do for him what he cannot do for himself." The nogitsune continued. "Do it, Scott. Be His kaishakunin. Give up the game."

Stiles was shaking as he was about to shove the sword into his stomach. He stopped when he turned around and saw a business book on the ground, snow covering most of it. He then saw a table behind a rock.

"You have no moves left." The nogitsune told him.

"I do" Stiles said, moving the sword from his stomach and throwing it back to kira. "A divine move."

The twins and Derek continued fighting with the Onis near the school.

"We can't do this, we can't beat them" Aiden shouted. His blue eyes glowing in the darkness.

"Take the box. We'll hold them off!" Ethan told his brother.

Derek growled. One of the Onis was about to kill him but an arrow flew in it's chest. Yellow light shining around the wound.

Chris Argent stood above the battlefield with a crossbow, staring at the dying onis as Isaac jumped towards the other werewolves.

The Oni tried taking the arrow out but it exploded before it could.

"What was that?" Ethan asked.

"Silver." Argent told the werewolves. The nogitsune then ran away, terrified.

"Isaac, the box!" Derek shouted. "Get the triskele box to Scott!" Isaac ran towards the box and grabbed it, running away from the scene.

"Stop fighting them. It's an illusion." Stiles shouted. "You have to stop fighting them. It looks real and it feels real, but Scott you gotta trust me, it's an illusion."

Scott turned around to look at the nogitsune with anger in his red, glowing eyes. The Oni formed two lined on each side of the nogitsune. The group walked between the Oni in a line. Scott at the front and Astrid at the very back with Kai in front of her.

The onis cut their flesh as they walked between them, panting. Some of them screamed at the pain but still continued walking.

Scott grabbed the nogitsune and pushed him, the demon then disappeared and they appeared back in the school corridors.

"We're okay" Scott smiled.

"Thank God. I was going to murder you all in the afterlife if we died" Kai sighed. The group chuckled.

"We're-" Scott was interrupted when something pushed him against the lockers. Astrid vamp sped to him, grabbing his head and asking if he's okay before kissing his forehead.

Kira turned around and saw the Nogitsune Stiles standing behind her. He smiled and slapped her, causing her to fall on the ground.

Kai ran to Astrid, knowing that she'll protect him if he's in trouble. Astrid gave him her hand and nodded. They stared at the nogitsune as he discreetly began taking away some of her magic.

"This was my game" the nogitsune complained. "You think you can beat me in my game?" He asked as he looked at Lydia and Stiles.

The twins, Derek and Argent continued fighting with the Oni. Argent shooting more of them with the help of the werewolves.

One of the Oni cut the arrow in half before it killed him. "Get the arrow. It's the last one" he told them.

Aiden growled as he ran towards the demon. He grabbed the arrow and killed the Oni. However, The demon also managed to impale Aiden with its sword. His eyes changing from blue to his normal eye colour as he let go of the arrow and grabbed the handle of the sword.

"Aiden!" Ethan shouted with teary eyes. Aiden pulled the sword out and let it fall on the ground.

"Devine move" the nogitsune said through gritted teeth. "Divine move. You think you have any moves at all?" He asked Lydia and Stiles, moving towards them as they took steps back. Astrid, Kai and Scott got up, walking towards the nogitsune.

"Stay here, Scott" Astrid compelled him as she walked towards the fox with Kai.

"You can kill the Oni. But me? Me? I'm a thousand years old. You can't kill me!" He yelled, making Stiles and Lydia flinch.

He stopped when fire surrounded him. He turned around and saw Kai chanting while Astrid walked towards him and stopped before the flame.

"But we can change you" Lydia told the fox. Astrid then walked through the fire with a smile.

"Goodnight, foxie" she told him and she pushed him against a locker, her wrist already bitten as she pushed it against his mouth. The blood entering his system as Astrid snapped his neck.

The fire disappeared. "It takes a monster to kill a monster, love" Astrid said loudly as the five stared at her. A fly then escaped from his mouth and flew away. Isaac walked in fromt of it and trapped in the triskele box with relief. The nogitsune's body then began to crack as he turned to dust.

Stiles fainted and everyone rushed to him, except for Kai. "Drama Queen" kai muttered.

After a few minutes, Stiles woke up to all his friends staring at him. "Oh, God, I fainted, didn't I?" Stiles asked and everyone chuckled. "We're alive. We all alive?"

"Well... I'm dead" Astrid joked and the others laughed.

"We're okay" Scott smiled.

Derek held Aiden's hand as he was slowly dying, tears spilling from his eyes. His brother, Ethan, walked towards him, also crying. Black blood was dripping from Aiden's mouth.

"Does it hurt you as much as it hurts me?" Aiden asked Ethan.

"Yeah" Ethan answered as Aiden whimpered.

"Its okay." Aiden said. "Lydia never believed I was one of the good guys anyway." He chuckled.

"She'll believe me" Derek told him.

"Shhh." Ethan comforted Aiden, hugging him gently, their foreheads touching. Aiden then stopped choking on the blood and stopped moving while Ethan sobbed, laying him down.

Lydia hugged Stiles as she and the group saw the the twins, Derek and Argent. She cried quietly into Stiles' shoulder.

Everyone stared at Kai, tears still in their eyes as Ethan took Aidens body and left.

"Okay" Kai clapped him hands. "I understand that this is like a really sad situation but I'm a sociopath so I won't cry like the rest of you weaklings" Kai told them. "Since I helped you, 'trid... I'm asking for something in return."

"Of course you do, brother" Astrid teased him and he glared at her.

"I want you to change me. Well... just feed me your blood. I'll kill myself later" he told her.

"Why?" She asked him, curious.

"So I can be stronger" Kai told her. "Actually... I do feel. I kind of merged with Lucas. You remember him, right?" He asked and Astrid nodded.

"Yeah I do..." Astrid said as she walked towards him and fed him her blood.

"Tasty" he smiled as she turned around. He grabbed her shoulders as she screamed in pain. He took most of her remaining magic before walking away. "Bye, sissy" he said with a smile. "Gonna torment some more people in Mystic falls" He added as he skipped, leaving the group of people. They were all shocked, except for Astrid.

"Dick" she muttered.

After 3 weeks, Astrid made everyone meet up in her mansion. Including malia, a girl who was a coyote but Scott helped her change back. She was now a part of their pack.

Scott, Stiles, Malia, Lydia and kira showed up in her mansion. Isaac was now in London and Ethan left town.

"I figured that we all have to move on so... I think we should go somewhere. Leave town and escape from the bad memories for a bit." Astrid told them with a smile.

"I agree with her" Stiles pointed at her, smiling.

"Does anyone have a place in mind?" Lydia asked, also smiling.

"I do" Astrid smiled at the group. They looked at her surprised that she already knew where they were going.
