《The Monster Inside ➺ Scott. M》Chapter 15

Morell was running through the dark woods, running away from the alpha pack. She stopped, throwing mountain Ash in the air as it created a circle around her once it hit the ground. Preventing any werewolves from getting in. The alpha twins ran towards her and were immediately pushed away by the mountain ash, landing on the ground. They growled at the emissary. Kali then jumped towards the emissary, growling at her.
Morell panted inside the circle as the alphas and Scott stood in front of her. "How did you know, Marin? That we'd come for you?" Deucalion asked her as he walked towards her, with Scott at his side.
"Because Jennifer and I are the same. And I know you've always been suspicious of us, of what we can do." Morell replied.
"With good reason" Kali spoke "we know you sent that girl. The one who helped Isaac."
"What was her name?" Deucalion asked.
"Braeden" Morell answered. "And I sent her to do what I've always done, maintain balance."
"What do you know about Jennifer?" Kali asked.
"Nothing more than you know. This isn't you, Scott. Go back to your friends. In fact, I brought Astrid and her brother with me." Morell said and Scott shifted slightly, nervous. Two wolves appeared behind Morell, one black and the other grey. The grey one was slightly bigger and it looked angrier than the black one. Astrid, the black wolf, stood on Morell's right side, whereas, Niklaus, the grey wolf, stood on her left side. Niklaus growled at Kali and she moved back.
"They can fully transform" Kali said quietly, surprise on her face.
"Incredible...He can decide what's right for himself." Deucalion stated while Scott stared at Astrid who stared back at him. He smiled slightly.
"Not without all the information" Morell argued. "Have you told him everything you've done? How you've piled up bodies in a narcissistically psychotic effort to form your perfect pack? Bodies that include Ennis, by the way." Morell looked at Kali. "My brother saved him. He was alive when Deucalion went in to see him. He wants you to go after Derek, Kali. To force his decision. If Derek joins the pack, it paces the way for Scott."
"The lies people will tell when they're begging for their life." Deucalion said.
"Ask him" Morell told Scott. Deucalion took off the end of his cane, revealing the blade. He threw it at Morell and she fell to the ground, exiting the mountain ash circle. Astrid jumped in front of her, growling at the alphas.
Scott rushed to her "hey! Back off." He shouted at the alphas who stopped when he told them to. Morell panted as Scott held her. Astrid and Klaus stood in front of them, growling at the alphas.
Scott pulled the cane out of Morell's shoulder, throwing it aside. "Hey, I'm not going to let them kill you." Scott paused. "But if you know something, if you know where they are..."

"The Nemeton" Morell answered. "You find that, you'll find Jennifer. Find the Nemeton"
------
"I don't wanna kill your optimism or anything, but, you know, the both of us have been trying to do the exact same thing for hours." Melissa told Chris, who was trying to untie the ropes.
"You been tied up before?" Sheriff asked Chris.
Chris exhaled loudly "many times."
"What, is that a part of being a werewolf hunter?" Sheriff asked him. Chris looked at his surprised
Melissa smiled at Chris and shrugged "I tried to download him on as much as I could."
"Yeah, I was starting to feel a little but left out."
"You knew" Chris stated. "I remember meeting you once before you were a sheriff. You questioned me about a body. You knew something was up. You just weren't ready to believe it."
"You're right" sheriff admitted "there was a night, eight years ago. The night my wife died. I was at the end of a shift, and a call came in. There'd been a pileup, and a young woman, she was a teenager, actually, she was trapped under an overturned car. We had to wait for the paramedics. We were never getting her out. But I was able to hold her hand. She knew she was gonna die. I just kept telling her, 'No, No. Listen, paramedics are on their way.' And I remember her hand suddenly gipped mine so tightly that I... I literally thought she was gonna break the bones. And she looked me in the eyes and said, 'if you wanna be with her, go now.' And I knew she was talking about my wife. But then that other part of my brain, the part that looks for clues, for fingerprints, for logical connections, that part told me that there is no way that this girl could possibly know about Claudia. And so I stayed. I stayed until the paramedics pulled her out." Sheriff paused. "Till her heart stopped beating and they declared her dead. When I finally got to the hospital, i saw Stiles sitting in the waiting room, with his head in his hands. He was with Claudia when she died. But I wasn't. I want with her because I didn't believe. I just did not believe."
------
Lydia, Stiles, Allison, Isaac and Astrid were in the animal clinic with Deaton.
"It had to be on a telluric current, or maybe at the axis of two, or where they all intersect. I just know it's where Derek took Paige to die" Stiles told everyone.
"My dad and Gerard were there once. But Gerard was there years ago and he couldn't remember where it was." Alison said. "And my dad obviously isn't here to tell us now."
"Yeah, mine either."
"Maybe Gerard was lying" Astrid stated.
"I don't think so." Allison answered.
"Where's Klaus?" Stiles asked.
"He's at home."

"Why isn't he helping us?" He asked.
"Love, he doesn't care whether any of you live or die. He's only here because I asked him to help us." Astrid told him.
"It doesn't matter where her brother is" Isaac interrupted. "Now... how do we find this place?"
Everyone looked at Deaton. "There might be a way. But it's dangerous. We're gonna need Scott."
"Well, darlings, let's go get him then" Astrid said, as she clapped her hands, walking towards the exit of the room.
---------
Deaton, Stiles and Astrid were leaning on Stiles' jeep as Scott walked towards them.
"How'd you guys find out?" Scott asked.
"Lydia, you?" Stiles asked.
"Morell... thank you for protecting her, Astrid" Scott said and Astrid nodded. "None of the other alphas know where it is either."
"So if this works, are you gonna tell them?" Stiles asked.
"I can't stop Jennifer without them."
"How about we concentrate on finding your parents first?" Deaton said.
Scott nodded "what's the plan?".
"Essentially, you, Allison and Stiles need to be surrogate sacrifices for your parents." Deaton explained.
"We die for them?" Scott asked.
"He can bring you back" Astrid said, walking towards Scott.
"You can bring us back... right?" Stiles asked Deaton.
"You remember the part where I said it was dangerous?" Deaton asked.
Astrid grabbed Scott's hand gently. "Its going to be alright, love. I promise" she said and Scott smiled at her lovingly, nodding slightly.
"If it goes right, the three of You will be dead for a few seconds. But there's something you need to think about. This is a dangerous thing for more reasons than one." Deaton continued. "You'll be giving power back to the Nemeton, a place that hasn't had power for a long time. This kind of power is like a magnet. It attracts the supernatural, the kind of things that a family like the Argents can fill the pages of a bestiary with. It will draw them here, like a beacon."
"It doesn't sound any worse than anything we've already seen." Stiles said.
Astrid chuckled quietly, letting go of Scott's hand and looking at Stiles. "Stiles, darling, imagine, if this place will literally be like a beacon, it will attract werewolves, vampires, wendigos, witches, hellhouds and many other creatures you have never seen before. Creatures you haven't even heard of before. So, believe me... it would be worse than you can imagine." Stiles looked quite scared after she said that.
"Is that it?" Scott asked nervous.
"No" Deaton replied. "It will also have an effect on the three of You. Allison, Stiles and you, Scott. You won't be able to see it, but you'll feel it every day for the rest of your lives. It'll be a kind of... a darkness around your heart. And permanent, like a scar."
"Like a tattoo." Scott said.
-------
"Its gotta be now. I don't have a choice" Derek told Peter, looking at his dying sister.
"You always have a choice" Peter said. "It's whether or not you can live with the consequences, facing Kali as a beta." Peter told his nephew.
"Yeah, but it's not just a full moon coming. It's a lunar eclipse. We'll all be powerless." Derek said as he grabbed his sister's hand, taking away her pain.
--------
Lydia, Deaton and Astrid put ice into three tubs full of water.
"What did you bring?" Deaton asked the three teenagers who are going to be in the tubs.
"Um, I got my dad's badge." Stiles said "Jennifer kind of crushed it in her hand, so I tried hammering it out a bit. Still doesn't look great."
"It doesn't need to look good if it has a meaning." Astrid smiled as Stiles.
"Is that an actual silver bullet?" Isaac asked Allison, who was holding a bullet.
"Yeah, my dad made it as kind of a ceremonial thing. When one of us finishes learning all the skills to be a hunter, we forge a silver bullet as a statement to the code." Allison said.
"Scott?" Deaton said.
"My dad got my mom this watch when she first got hired at the hospital. She used to say it was the only thing in her marriage that ever worked." Scott answered.
"Okay, the three of You will get in." Deaton said. "Each of us will hold you down until you're essentially, well, dead. But it's not just someone to hold you under. It needs to be someone who can pull you back. Someone that has a strong connection to you, a kind of emotional tether." Lydia began walking towards Allison. "Lydia. You go with Stiles. Isaac you go with Allison. Astrid you go with Scott." Astrid smiled warmly at Scott.
The three slowly entered the tubs full if ice, exhaling loudly as the freezing water hit their skin. Deaton stood in front of the tubs, observing the teenagers. The three shivered in the tubs.
"By the way, if I don't make it back and you do, you should probably know something." Stiles told Scott. "Your dad's in town."
Astrid grabbed Scott's shoulders, massaging them lightly, he grabbed her hand and smiled warmly at her.
------
Derek was taking away Cora's pain, she opened her eyes and looked at her brother. He growled loudly, his eyes red. Peter looked at them, both surprise and amazement on his face.
As Derek took more of her pain, his eyes turned from blood red to a beautiful cold blue.
------
Astrid, Lydia and Isaac pushed the three underwater, staring at each other. They soon let go of the three.
Scott's eyes opened and they were now glowing a beautiful yellow. Astrid sighed as she looked at her boyfriend, hoping that he'll be alright.

8 118Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

8 117The Czarina's Buccaneer
RELEASES EVERY MONDAY AT 18:30 CST ----- After suffering the torments of slavery, the destruction of his nation, and the massacre of his band of brothers, Rodion Kazansky craves revenge and yearns for the freedom owed to him as a proud Cossack. A lost horse and a chance meeting with the Catherine the Great set him off on a journey that will take him from the steppes of the Crimea to the beaches of the Gold Coast of Africa and back again. There he will face British slavers, pirates, and the ghosts of his past to become the bane of his enemies as the Czarina's Buccaneer. ----- DISCLAIMER: This novel acknowledges the fact that the Cossacks, and the Ukrainian people by extension, are unique and not simply a "different variety of Russians." The main character views the Russians as "moskal foreigners" and does not see himself as one. This also acknowledges the fact that the czarina deprived many of the Cossacks of their freedom, something that the main character resents.

8 141Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
