《A Harry Potter Love Story: Gracie Style *Completed*》Chapter 9

I woke up wrapped in Harry's arms. His glasses were askew on his face, his hair messier than usual, and his mouth was hanging open. I giggled quietly, smiling at him. He's just so cute sometimes. I used a spell to remove his arms as gently as possible, then climbed out of the bed. Padding barefoot through the house.

The first place I went was the bathroom. I took a shower, got dressed, brushed my teeth, them did my hair and make up. Once that was done, I walked into the kitchen. "Okay Gracie. You were a Weasley for twelve years. You've got this!" I whispered, pulling out the ingredients for pancakes. I made them easily, singing to myself as I flipped them.

I jolted up when Harry hopped onto the counter next to me, fully dressed and teeth brushed. His hair was wet too. "Hi!" I smiled, putting three pancakes on a plate. I handed them to Harry with a bottle of syrup. Molly tried to teach me how to make homemade syrup, but I never really got the hang of it.

"Hi?" He asked more than said. He had a smile on his face as he walked towards the dining room. I turned the stove off, grabbed my plate, the syrup, and two forks, walking behind him. He was smiling brightly, waiting for me. I giggled, skipping to my seat. "Good morning!"

"Morning!" I smiled, curtsying a little bit. He laughed, shaking his head. He took a bite of his food and his eyes went wide. It made me sort of nervous. I haven't cooked in a while, it's always Mum or Kreacher.

"You made this?"

"Yes?" I grimaced, looking at him apologetically.

"It's amazing!" He smiled, leaning over to kiss my cheek. I smiled happily, pleased with myself. I ate happily while he ate rather quickly. "Did you learn that from Mrs. Weasley?"

"Yep!" I smirked, popping the 'p'. Harry loves Molly's cooking.

"Don't tell her, but it was actually better!" He chuckled, leaning back in his chair. I wouldn't have believed him, but the way he was eating indicated he was telling the truth. I giggled, blushing a bit.

"Okay. I had a motive!" I admitted, leaning towards him in my chair. He sat up as well, looking weary. "We have to know what we're going to show them tonight!" I smiled, knowing he wouldn't like this. He groaned, leaning back again and dropping his head back.

"I don't know. Er, stupefy?"

"Good one. But we need more than one. What about expelliarmus? It's really handy! And most people don't do it right. They underestimate it because it's so simple!"

"Boom! Done! Now can we do something interesting?" He whined, looking a bit like a two year old.

"Alright James!" I teased, sticking my tongue out at him, but he looked confused.

"Little James or Dad?"

"Both! But mostly your Dad!" I giggled, poking his forehead. He watched my finger get closer, going cross eyed. He smirked at me, holding up three fingers. I squealed, jumping up. I ran into the living room, looking for a place to hide. Suddenly, a door appeared to my left. "Thank you room!" I whispered, running towards it. I heard the chair push back and pushed myself faster.

"Three!" He called, he swung the door open right as I disappeared behind the new one. "Gracie?" I used a charm on my voice to make it sound small, like I'm not at close at I really am.

"You'll have to find me!" I taunted, drawing a few words out playfully. He laughed, and I heard his feet pounding on the door. He said 'gotcha' a few times, then would groan, call something out, and groan again. I smirked, shaking my head. I was in there for maybe an hour? I don't know. Probably less, but who's counting?

"Okay Lilly! You win!" He laughed, I heard the springs of the couch drop. So, giggling, I pushed the door open. He jumped, falling off the couch. "Bloody hell!" He screamed, standing back up. I laughed, skipping over to him. "How did you do that?"

"The room's my best friend!" I smirked, winking at him. He rolled his eyes, we exchanged a glance, and our eyes widened. We'd been so caught up in our own little world here, that we forgot about the real world out there. We ran into our room, but I let him get the map. They were in the common room, pacing again. This time there were other people in there. "Should we go? We could take the cloak, here what they're talking about? I wonder if they are really worried?" I asked, whispering more to myself than to Harry. He sighed sadly, looking around the room. When he was done with that, he stared at me. Then he would look around the room, then to me, so on and so forth.

"I suppose!" He groaned, glaring at the map.

Don't worry!" I giggled, winking at him. "We'll be back! We can stay here after the DA meeting. We can come here whenever we want. Instead of the library, we'll come here. Instead of the common room, here. It'll be great!" I smiled, kissing his cheek. "And the best part, unless we want someone to find us, they can't!" I giggled, taking his hand.

"Good!" He smiled, pulling out the cloak. He draped it over us, and we made our way to the common room quietly. We walked in behind some kid, then over to the corner where they were whispering.

"My bets on Umbridge! She's probably got them!" Fred said, leaning his elbows forward on his knees. I rolled my eyes at that theory.

"No way. Gracie's better than that. And so is Harry for that matter. They wouldn't get caught!" Nat shook her head, pacing back and forth.

"What if V,V,"

"Spit it out Hermione!" Nat snapped, glaring at her. "Voldemort! Vol-de-mort!" She used pronunciation for each syllable. She looked angry, very very angry.

"Well what if he got them?"

"Yeah! They could have had another brain explosion!" Ron said, looking more worried than angry. Guilt flooded through me, seeing the worried looks on each of their faces, the little bit of anger on Natty's. Just then Ginny walked into the room, took one look, and rolled her eyes.

"Are you guys still worrying?"

"How could you not be?" Mione snapped, glaring at her. I rolled my eyes.

"Hm. How about because she sent a patronus saying not to?"

"What if their hurt? What if someone captured them?" Ron asked, getting in her face. She shoved him backwards, glaring at him.

"More like they found a cozy broom closet!" She hissed, glaring at each of them. "I know my sister. She's fine. If she needed help, she'd ask. Now quit worrying! And none of you have a right to be mad at them! They told you they were fine! And we all know their quite capable of taking care of themselves! The twins birthday is tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised if they were at Grimmauld, setting up or celebrating early!"

Well, someone knows me a little too well. I had actually planned on doing so! "I bet you ten galleons they aren't at the meeting!" Fred said, standing up and sticking a hand out.

"You're on! But, on one condition. I take your ten, raise you thirty, they WILL be at that meeting AND they'll have something planned!" Ginny smirked, holding her hand out. Fred nodded, sticking his hand into Ginny's. They shook on it, while I shook my head. That's thirty galleons Fred just lost.

Harry and I exchanged a smirk, heading outside the common room. "Where to?" I whispered, looking at him.

"Don't know. Wait, is that? Is that Hagrid?" He asked, stopping in his tracks. He looked out the window, so I did too. He was right, smoke was coming from Hagrid's chimney and Fang was outside, barking happily. I squealed in delight, clapping my hands.

"To Hagrid's!" I giggled, running that direction. Harry laughed, keeping pace with me easily. We ran out the castle doors and down to Hagrid's, knocking quickly. "Open open open now!" I squealed, hopping up and down.

"Calm dow' Gracie! I'm comin'!" Hagrid chuckled from the other side of the door, throwing it open. "Gracie?" He scratched his head, looking around.

"The cloak!" I squealed, flinging it off and jumping at Hagrid. "Thank Merlin your back! Grubblyplank was nice and all, but she's nothing compared to you Hagrid!" I hugged him tightly while he chuckled, pulling Harry an I into a bone crushing hug. I smiled, grabbing Harry's hand with a free one.

"It's good ter see you too! And still together! Even better!" He smiled proudly, sitting us down on our feet. I didn't wait for a response, just skipped inside and started playing with Fang.

"How's my boy? How's my good boy?" I cooed, ruffling his fur affectionately. He rumbled, barking contently. Hagrid chuckled, putting tea down on the table. Hagrid's tea is good, it's the rock cakes you have to watch for! Harry sat on the couch behind me, I used his legs as support, sitting in between his legs, leaning against him. I put one elbow on his left knee, titling my head to rest against the right. Fang rested his head in my lap, drooling a bit, but I don't mind. I stroked from his head to the middle of his back absentmindedly, looking at Hagrid expectantly.

"So where have you been?" Harry asked, breaking the silence that had fallen over the three of us. Hagrid rubbed the side of his face, slapping a t-bone over it. Fang sat up, barking and staring at the meat. I saw Hagrid about to give it to him, but shook my head no firmly.

"Fang, hush! Lay back down!" The dog whined, but otherwise listened. I turned back to Hagrid with a smile, nodding my head. "Continue!" He rolled his eyes but did as I asked.

"Could you er?" He gestured towards the door, looking a bit awkward. I nodded, charming it so no one outside could hear us in here. He smiled, looking relieved. "Dumbledore sent me away on some business. Working with giants. And I found me mum!" He smiled happily, dropping the t-bone for a second into his lap. I looked at in disgust, watching it drip down his face and into his beard. Pretty sight, right?

"That's great Hagrid!" I smiled, taking a sip of the tea. He grinned, probably reminiscing. His face was blank except the smile. All of a sudden, he shook his head, nodding.

"There were some fights!" He boomed, pointing to his eye. "But I stayed! And I did what Dumbledore wanted!" He put a hand to his chest proudly while I suppressed a giggle.

"Why Hagrid? Why did you have to go?" Harry asked, sounding a but concerned. I nodded, looking back eagerly.

"So he who must not be named can't get them! Last time he had loads of giants on his side during the war. And it didn't end well!" He shuddered, his face turning cold. I checked my watch, surprised that it was almost lunch. It seems like so short a time ago we were eating breakfast, but I guess we did spend a while messing around. Harry trying to find me, listening in on a ten, maybe fifteen minute conversation in the common room, making our way down here, and the most surprising of all, it's already been forty minutes we've been here. Fang was asleep in my lap, Harry and Hagrid were talking about the war, an here I am, lost in thought.

Thought one: What war?

I know about the order, but a war? I always thought that he just controlled things for the most part. Everyone was always scared and there was nothing more to it. I thought Harry ended the reign of terror. I didn't know there was a full blown war! Sure, I knew he had followers but giants? Does that mean he can control dementors and other magical creatures too?

Thought two: his Mum?

Where did that come from? Hagrid has never told me about his past. I know Harry and Ron know some, apparently they learned last year after the Yule Ball a lot of that stuff, but still. They didn't really share much. I wonder if they remember anything important? Hagrid is a half giant. If they could, I might be able to come up with some ways to convince the giants to bad Dumbledore.

Or I could try and fail epically because I'm not a super genius like Mione.

Thought three: I'm hungry!

My stomach growled as I thought about it. I looked down, shushing it. Hagrid and Harry laughed, rolling their eyes. I blushed a bit, trying to act like nothing happened. This just made them laugh more. Stupid boys. And yes. I called Hagrid a boy. "Go feed her Harry!" Hagrid laughed, shaking his head. He stood up, pulling Fang off me.

"It's fine!" I waved him off, moving onto Harry's lap. He picked me up, holding me bridal style. "Better this than like a sack of potatoes!" I sighed, running a hand through my hair. I was actually pretty comfy here.

"You don't like it when I carry you?" He asked, looking a bit hurt. My eyes widened and I shook my head no.

"That's not it at all! I just feel bad! I'm not exactly light!" I frowned, looking down. He started laughing all of a sudden. I snapped my head up in confusion.

"Gracie, you're lighter than my text books most of the time! Maybe, maybe a little heavier than my charms book. Maybe!" He laughed again, shaking his head. I smiled, kissing his cheek. Hagrid cooed in the background. "Bye Hagrid!"

"Bye!" I chirped, waving over Harry's shoulder. Hagrid waved back with a smile. Harry and I chattered about nothing all the way up to the castle. "So, I wonder if they'll yell when we see them?" I giggled, drawing shapes on his chest with my fingertips. He smiled down at me, looking amused. He watched me a bit before he answered.

"Probably. But they'll be more angry that Ginny was right!" He smirked, shrugging his shoulders. I frowned.

"You messed up my triangle!" I protested, rolling my eyes. "Now I have to start all over again!" I started tracing my triangle again while he laughed, shaking his head. "There! All better!" I smiled, looking at the imaginary triangle proudly. "Now, what should I draw?" I drew a heart, putting 'H+G' on the inside. I crossed my arms, smiling happily.

"You're so weird sometimes!" He chuckled, walking into the Great Hall. I protested, but they were drowned out.

"WHERE THE BLOODY HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?" Nat screeched, running towards us angrily. I flinched, hiding my face in Harry's chest.

"What's wrong with her?" Ron snapped, and I saw him glaring at Harry out of the corner of my eye.

"Are you two okay?" Mione fluttered around us in a circle, probably checking for blood or something. I looked at them questioningly, deciding to act. Ginny was standing there expectantly, a smirk on her face.

I fake yawned, letting my eyes droop. "We stayed up all night coming up with a lesson plan. We decided on something easy, but it took so long because we talked everything out. Walked through it step by step. We were in the Room of Requirement!" I said, letting my eyes droop further, then shot them open again, just for effect. All but Ginny's jaw dropped.

"Then why isn't Harry tired?" Nat fired off, glaring at me, arms crossed. I opened my mouth to answer, but Harry had it covered, shrugging his shoulders easily.

"She loaded me with coffee from one in the morning till six. I won't be able to sleep for a week!" He shrugged, pushing past them, me in his arms. "I sort of hogged the coffee, that's why she's so tired. Still sorry about that!" He muttered sheepishly, sitting at Gryffindor table. The others trailed behind us, but that smug look never left my little sister's face.

"Fred? They're here for the meeting and I do believe they have a plan! That'll be thirty galleons!" She smirked, holding her hand out expectantly. He scowled, shoving them into her hand. I gave her a questioning look, watching her count it out. "I stopped worrying when we got your message. This lot, however, has been at it all day. Fred and I made a bet, I said you would be at the meeting and have a plan, he said you wouldn't be there point blank. I won!" She smirked, putting the coins in her pocket.

"Awe! I've taught you well!" I giggled, pinching her cheeks. She laughed, swatting my hand away. "I'm hungry!" I put some mash potatoes on my plate, along with some other stuff scattered along the table. I saw cheesecake halfway down, Harry saw it too, grabbed it and pulled it towards us. I sent him a grateful smile and took a piece. It had raspberry sauce dribbled over the top and Merlin was it good!

The mail owls swooped through, dropping a prophet in front of Mione. Harry did some article with Skeeter about not telling lies, that didn't go over well. I'd give you details, but I don't have any. Umbridge confiscated all of those articles. From everyone. The toad.

"Oh no!" Mione gasped, dropping her fork. We all turned to her as she dropped the prophet onto the table, letting us see it. Ten deatheaters have escaped from Azkaban. I stared at it in disgust. Really? I mean really?! They're just letting them go now!

Bellatrix Lestrange and nine others have escaped from Azkaban prison. Please be careful and if you see any of the following people, please, get to safety and report is A.S.A.P!

There was a list of names below it, and I recognized maybe three or four. Some being more important than the rest. Dolohov, Rookwood, and Lestrange. "Damn!" I pounded my fist onto the table, picking up the paper. "Nat!" I shoved it in her face, showing her the three names. She turned red, looking angry. This summer, we learned that Rookwood and Dolohov helped track down her dad, Uncle Regulas, and kill him.

She started shaking, then stopped. "I'm not going to get mad. I'm just going to kill them. I can't go to Azkaban! They're known deatheaters! It's self defense!" She chirped, shrugging her shoulders and smiling happily. She then began eating, humming to herself. We all stared at her like she lost her mind. "I'm not crazy guys, just a little shocked. That's all. I'll be fine. But I am going to kill them. Dad wanted out! He tried to stop them and they killed him! So now, they can feel what it's like!" She turned to us, looked us in the eye, and then looked back at her plate and continued to eat. I nodded, doing the same. Gradually the others started eating too, and it wasn't long before we were all finished.

"So what now? It's only twelve thirty! We have eight hours of time to kill!" Ron said, shoving his plate back. I shrugged, as well as Harry and Mione. Ginny was looking/glaring in one direction, not paying attention to us. I turned around and saw Draco and Pansy talking, well, more arguing. All of a sudden, she grabbed the belt loops on his pants and shoved him backwards into the wall, smiling weirdly.

Gin jumped up, looking like she was going to kill someone. I did the same, but I grabbed her, never taking my eyes off the two of them. He looked pissed, and I don't think he'll disappoint. "Let him handle it. It's a good test!" She glanced at me briefly, then gave me a curt nod, turning back to him with an angry face.

"-the bloody hell do you think your doing?" He yelled, shoving her backwards so that she'd let go, but she didn't, she clung to him and pulled him with her. "Get off me! I can't hit a girl but Ginny can!"

"Why would you date that blood traitor?" She screeched, grinding up against him. He ground his teeth and Ginny clenched her fists. We have front row seats to the whole show. And Ron and Fred are watching, and if I'm not mistaken, so is George.
