《A Harry Potter Love Story: Gracie Style *Completed*》Chapter 15

"Mr. Weasley!" McGonagall called. She was teaching us how to dance, apparently we have to dance well. Mrs. Weasley put Ginny and I through dance lessons when we were younger, so I wasn't really paying attention. Until now that is.

"Me?" Ron asked, his voice raising a few octaves. She nodded, bringing him forward. He gulped, his face going pale and his ears red. I sent Harry a look, smiling at him. He winked, then turned back to Ron.

"Any chance we could sneak to the boys side of the room and hide behind Fred and George?" I whispered, leaning closer to Nat. She shook her head sadly, her eyes on McGonagall. "Well dang!"

"Now, put your hands on my waist!"

"Your what?" He shrieked, his voice rising three more octaves than before. I snickered, turning my head so that it wasn't as noticeable.

"My waist!" She snapped. I turned around just in time to see her place Ron's hands on her waist, his face instantly turning redder than his ears. Fred and George wolf whistled and there were multiple cat calls. Nat and I settled for unashamed giggling, though that earned us a heated glare from Ron. We exchanged a look, then turned back, smiling at him sweetly. He rolled his eyes as Grandma McGonagall started moving, making him dance with her. After a few minutes, she let go of Ron, leaving him to run across the room, hiding behind Harry. "Now, everyone grab a partner! Begin practicing!"

Some fifth year girl bounced up to Harry, obviously flirting with him. I glared at her, my fist balling up at my sides. Nat was already with Fred, George and Angelina, and Mione and Ron. My jaw dropped as the girl grabbed Harry's hand, but I recovered quickly when he jerked it away. I watched as he pointed in my direction, needless to say, I was more than satisfied when the girl glared at me. A minute later, Harry was standing in front of me, looking a bit annoyed.

"Hi!" I chirped, smiling brightly at him. I honestly couldn't be happier right now. That girl was seriously pretty and he didn't give her a second look! He smirked, shaking his head.

"May I have this dance?" He asked, bowing slightly. And holding his hand out. I giggled and placed my hand in his. I blushed when he pulled my body against his own, tighter than even Natalyn and Fred. We stared into each others eyes for a few minutes, saying nothing. He only stepped on my foot once, and I think that was my fault. I stopped paying attention to the dance. As cheesy as it sounds, I was completely lost in his eyes.

When I zoned back in, I noticed the girl dancing with some guy, but she was glaring at me. I smiled that same sweet smile I gave Malfoy and his friends last week, and waved happily at her. Her eyes narrowed and she flipped me off. In response, I tightened my grip on Harry, resting my head on his shoulder. So I'm feeling a bit possessive, but hey. I'm a teenage girl. Sue me!

Harry chuckled, his hands tightening on my waist. "Your messing with her aren't you?" He whispered, his voice dangerously close to my ear. I shivered, and looked up at him with a small smile.

"Maybe. What would you do about that?" I giggled, searching his eyes for the answer. He kissed me softly, then pulled away. I pouted a bit. Silly right?

"I'd tell you there was no competition. I'm yours!" He smiled. I stopped dancing, and pushed myself up on my toes, kissing him.

"Harry James Potter, I love you so much!" I kissed him again, then pulled away, smiling up at him. I rested my head on his shoulder, not wanting to let go.

"I love you too!" He whispered, kissing the top of my head.

"This potion is impossible!" Nat yelled, throwing her hands in the air. I rolled my eyes, whispering about her being dramatic. She and Mione were partners, but Nat was having troubles. I just stated the obvious didn't I?

"Ms. Black! I'd appreciate it if you would keep your opinions to yourself!" Snape seethed, glaring at her. I rolled my eyes again, regretting it not a minute later. "Ms. Black I will not stand for disrespect! Detention!" Anger bubbled up inside of me, I feel weird. Sick. Different somehow.

"What did I do now?" Nat yelled, throwing her hands in the air once more. I glared at the professor, we seemed to be having a glaring contest, and nobody said anything. "Oh I get it! You mean her! Well what did she do?"

"Shut up!" Mione hissed, elbowing Nat in the ribs.

"Professor Snape!" I mouthed. "I will not stand for unfair punishments!" I snapped, glaring at him. His jaw clenched and my hands curled. "Sir I meant no disrespect to you! I was rolling my eyes at my dramatic cousin!"

"Your still mouthing!" He bellowed, stepping towards me. I shrugged.

"I don't agree with your punishment, and as a member of our school, I'm entitled to my opinion. Sir," I said, emphasizing the word 'sir' heavily. He glared at me, but it didn't faze me one bit. You could cut the tension in the room with a knife.

"Make it a weeks detention!" He hissed, swishing his robes and walking towards the front. I glared at his back, listening to the sound of the bell ringing. Once I snapped out of it, I angrily slammed all my books into my bag leaving the room with out a word.

"Gracie! Wait up!" Nat called, running up beside me. I shot her a glance, but didn't respond. "What is wrong with you today?"

"Nothing. I was in a perfectly fine mood! I was completely happy with my day! And then he gave me detention and my mood just plummeted!" I sighed, running a hand through my hair in frustration.

"Why did you let him get to you? You don't usually?" Mione asked, coming up on my other side.

"I don't know! That's part of the problem! He just made me so mad!" I groaned, walking into transfiguration. Professor McGonagall watched us warily. Harry and Ron skipped class today, they were with Neville in the library talking about the gillyweed. "Honestly! You'd think Severus would me mature enough to let a school yard grudge go!" I hissed, dropping my bag onto the desk.

"Gracie! You can't call him that! He's a teacher!" Mione whispered, her eyes flitting to McGonagall. I ignored that, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah!" Nat caught me by surprise. "Call him Snivellus!" She laughed, bringing a smile to my face. "If he wants to act like a child than so can you! That's what started this isn't it? Uncle Sirius and James teasing him? That's what they called him isn't it?"

I nodded. "Yeah. And I'm not proud that Dad did it, but if this is how 'Professor'" I turned to Hermione for that part, "always acted, then I'm not surprised they did! Besides, he was a Slytherin, they were a Gryffindor. The two houses have been rivals since before we were born!" I rolled my eyes and shook my head, pulling out my book. We were completely oblivious to the fact that class had already started, except Mione of course.

When we did realize, I blushed deeply, looking at my step grandma, is that what you'd call it?, sheepishly. She rolled her eyes, continuing the lesson. I pulled out a sheet of parchment, passing it to Nat for her response, because I think we all know she has one.

N: 'It's completely ridiculous! They were childish and immature, and I know teasing can hurt, but you were in school! It's been years! Sometimes you just have to leave the past in the past!'

I read it quickly, then nodded, turning back to the lesson. It was over all to quick, meaning we had dinner. Then I get to spend my evening in Snivellus' office! Yay!

Note the sarcasm.

*************Harry's POV**************

"Where's Gracie?" I asked, sitting beside Ron at the table. Ginny looked up as well, all of us turned to Hermione and Natalyn, waiting for the answer.

"Well, she sort of got in trouble!" Hermione mumbled, not meeting anyone's eye. I exchanged a look with Ron.

"Well? What kind of trouble?" He asked, urging them to go on.

"Potions trouble," she said, finally looking up. When she didn't continue, Ron and I exchanged another look, rolling our eyes this time. Then we looked at Nat.

"Well since chicken over here won't tell you I suppose I should. I got a bit dramatic and Gracie rolled her eyes. Ol' Snivellus thought she was directing it at him because he commented on it. He gave her detention, but you see, it's Gracie. So she didn't like that at all. Long story short, she won't be at dinner for the week!" Nat shrugged, turning back to her food.

"Bloody hell!" Ron groaned, shaking his head. He began piling his plate, but I didn't. I just sat there. What did she say to make him that angry? Why did she let him get to her? She never does that.

"What did she say to him?" Ginny voiced my question, looking kind of worried. Nat looked up in surprise.

"Oh, well, they started out having a glare off. I don't think it's what she said, but how she said it. I've never seen her that pissed!" Hermione gasped, slapping Nat on the arm, but we all ignored her. "Something was definitely wrong, but when I asked her, she seemed as surprised as I was. Remember Mione?"

"Yes. She said that she wasn't sure why she let him get to her, that that was part of the problem. She said she was quite happy until he spoke to her." Hermione pushed her plate away, looking confused. We all sat there, no one saying anything.

"I'm going to the common room, see you later!" I said, standing up. I walked straight out of the hall and went to my dorm, pulling out my cloak and the map. She was in the dungeons, and was moving rather quickly. I threw the cloak over my head and walked down there as quickly as I could.

"Git! Make me clean the whole dang classroom! If I was a guy I'd be cursing him to the fiery pita of hades! He's a deatheater, he has to be! Stupid greasy, haired big nosed git! He thinks my dad and James put him through hell he can just wait till tomorrow! Dang it! I can't even get revenge! I want to be a good role model for the twins! Ugh!" She grumbled, pacing from one side of the room to the other. I chuckled, watching her throw things on shelves. She hit her foot on the desk, then hissed in pain. "Dammmnnngggg it!" She hissed, catching herself mid word. "Stupid being a girl!"

"I like you being a girl. It would make our relationship awkward if you weren't!" (No offense to anyone by that! I didn't mean it like that) I laughed, taking the cloak off. She jumped, dropping something on the floor.

"Ha!" She cheered, looking down at it. "I'm not even mad you scared me! His stuff is broken. I've been dying to throw something in here and now I can't even get in trouble because it was an accident!"

I laughed again, but that sentence sounded nothing like Gracie. When I looked at her, her eyes were darker than usual, almost black. "Gracie? Are you okay?"

Her eyes snapped to mine. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"It's just, you seem different. Your eyes have even changed color?" I took a step forward, kind of cautious about it. She looked confused, and a bit worried.

"They have?" I nodded, she looked around the room. "Check the door, do you see him coming?" I did as she said and shook my head. She waved her wand and the room cleaned itself instantly. "Molly taught me that. Anyway, my eyes have changed color?"

"Yeah. They look black." I looked at her nervously, taking a careful step forward. Her eyes flashed, going completely black. She looked like she was in pain. Her eyes changed back and forth. "Maybe we should take you to Professor Dumbledore?" I asked, watching her reaction carefully. Her eyes changed to black again.

"No! I'm fine!" She snapped, making me take a step backwards. Her eyes changed again, and she looked completely panicked. "Harry take me now!" She hissed, running forward. I nodded, shoving the cloak and the map into my bag. When I opened the door, Snape was standing there.

"And where do you think your going?" His lip curled, and he had an evil smirk on his face.

"No of your business you git!" She snapped, her eyes black again. He looked at her dumbfounded for a minute, but when he looked into her eyes, he seemed mortified.

"She called me down here Sir. Said she wasn't feeling well and obviously she's not!" I sighed, taking her hand to pull her forward. She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "I was going to take her to Dumbledore. She finished the room." I pushed past him, making her run towards the office with me. I pounded on the door, waiting for him to answer. When he did, I pulled her inside quickly. "Something is wrong with Gracie! Her eyes keep turning black and then she starts acting really weird!"

"Calm down Harry. We'll find out what's wrong with her!" He said calmly. He stepped towards Gracie, who eyed him skeptically. She opened her mouth to say something, but seeing that her eyes were still black, I covered her mouth with my hand. "May I ask why?" He asked, raising his eyebrows at the gesture.

"Well, I told you she acted weird. She says some things that she would never say if she was feeling well." I looked at her nervously, but her eyes were their normal color, and she looked nervous. I removed my hand, watching her. "Gracie?"

"Harry!" She cried, dropping to her knees. She placed her hands on either side of her head, holding it tightly. I watched in horror, not knowing what to do.

"Harry I'd like to speak to Gracie alone please." Professor Dumbledore gave me a stern look, leaving no room for argument, but I'm not leaving that easy. I crossed my arms defiantly, moving in front of her. She was shaking her head, tears pouring down her face. I've never seen her act like this. Ever.

"I want to stay with her!"

"Harry, go back to your dorm. She is in good hands!" He said, standing straight and looking me in the eye. I stayed for a minute, watching her. I nodded, leaving the room. When I got back in the common room, they were all there, waiting.

"Where is she?"

"With Dumbledore, something's wrong. Her eyes turned black and she turned into a whole other person. They kept shifting and she kept going back and forth between normal and angry." I sighed, dropping onto the couch. I dropped my head into my hands. We all sat there, waiting in silence.

*************Gracie's POV*************

"Sir! What's wrong with me?" I cried, holding my head in my hands. My vision was blurry and I was freaking out.

"I'm afraid someone is controlling your thoughts," he sighed, looking at me sadly. I groaned in frustration, causing him to pull me up to my feet. A sharp pain shot through my head, nothing compares to the cruciatus curse, but this was horrible. I felt like I was laying in the middle of the street and the knight bus was rolling back and forth over my head.

"Please sir! Make it stop!" I begged, looking him directly in the eye. He looked at me with a concern filled face. My vision shifted and everything went black. "I, I can't see!" A hand touched me, and I instinctively flinched away.

"It will be over soon!" And then I blacked out.

*********Dumbledore's POV*********

"Really Tom, I thought you were above this!" I sighed, shaking my head. The face of Gracelyn Black stared at me with hatred, but this is not the child I've come to care for.

"I don't know what your talking about you old fool!"

"Tom, if you're going to take over, you should learn her personality better." I took a step towards the girl, giving 'her' a small smile. He rolled her eyes, glaring up at me. I shook my head once more, trying not to loose my temper with the boy.

"I don't need to learn her personality!" He spit, stepping towards me. "We both know she's the girl from the prophecy! And as soon as I return I will hear the end of it!" He snapped, her eyes turned back and she dropped to the floor, loosing all consciousness. I sighed heavily, lifting the poor girl from the floor.

"Expecto, Patronum!" I said, watching my patronus appear before me. "Come quickly, something is wrong that needs your attention! To Sirius Black!" It left the room, fetching the girl's father. I lifted her, leaving my office. As I walked, I watched her, looking for any sign that she would come to. She stirred in my arms.

"Harry!" She whimpered, rolling over. I said nothing, but the word brought a smile to my lips. The memory of Harry, refusing to leave coming to mind. The memory of catching them in the corridor when they first became a couple made the smile grow. They will do great things one day.

A gasp sounded behind me. "Albus!" Minerva came bustling in my direction. "What's happened?" She watched her new grand daughter intently, tears brimming in her eyes.

"I'm afraid he's returning. And he has started by taking advantage of Ms. Gracie." I sighed, looking at her miserably. She was no longer moving, but her breathing was even, meaning the child would be okay. Minerva gasped again, sniffling a bit. She pushed the doors to the hospital wing open and I carried her inside. I placed her on 'her' bed, waiting for Poppy.

The doors burst open again and Sirius, Maxie, and Remus came running, all looking around in a panic. "What's going on? Where's Harry? What's happened to my daughter?" He yelled, looking at me angrily. A pang of sadness hit my heart, for I've failed to protect Gracelyn and her friends since they have arrived. Each year they've been in constant danger.

"Gracie has been possessed. Tom Riddle, otherwise know as Lord Voldemort, has taken over her mind, she had been rid of him for the time being. When I realized what was going on, I made Harry go back to his dorm so as not to cause more trouble or panic."

Maxie wailed, dropping next to Gracelyn on the bed. She held her, rocking her back and forth and whispering to her, words I was unable to hear. "What the hell does this mean?" Sirius growled, glaring at me more.

"He's back. And he's not only after Harry. We need to talk Sirius, but not now. Right now, we need to help your daughter."

"How do we do that?" Remus spoke, walking forward. His eyes flitted back and forth between his goddaughter and back. He seemed as angry as Sirius, and again I was reminded that it was my fault. All eyes on me now, I sighed.

"There is not much we can do. There is a potion, it will keep him out of her mind for a while, but not for long. If I had to venture a guess, she and Harry will need to learn occulomency. They will need to learn to block him out. How soon they will need to learn us unknown, but for now, we will do what we can." I looked over at Gracelyn. Her body began to twitch and writhe. She let out a blood curdling scream, Minerva put a silencing charm on the door. Sirius and Remus dropped to their knees, tears brimming in their eyes. Mrs. Black leg go of her, crying wildly. The screams continued and moments later the door burst open.
