《A Harry Potter Love Story: Gracie Style *Completed*》Chapter 16

Just going to say, not my best chapter. It's really rushed, but I'm anxious to get to the fourth book started. What about you guys????(;
We went back to Hogwarts the Sunday after Christmas. The last few months flew by. We had end of year exams and Uncle Lupin says I passed with flying colors! Divination I'm not so sure about, but hey. One thing that happened is, the ministry wasn't smart enough to keep Peter secured so he escaped. Again.
He's using his rat form and I know it. Hagrid lost the trial, so later today we're all going to visit him. I have a bad feeling, but that may have something to do with Trelawney's prediction. Yes. Prediction.
Apparently, during Mione's exam, she ticked Mione off. Mione knocked a crystal ball off the table and stormed out of the room and Ron and Nat went running after her. Harry and I went to return it and boom! She tells us about master and servant being reunited once more. Scary right?
I'm so happy to be growing up, but at the same time, I miss being little and having no worries. So much drama has passed over the years and it seems like there is only more to come. I sat at the window in the common room, Nat and Mione were upstairs filling Ginny up to go meet Dean, Harry and Ron were off doing Merlin knows what, and I'm here. Sitting alone, staring out the window.
I sighed, turning to the parchment in front of me. I wrote a quick note to Maxie, telling her what's happened since we got back and writing a part to Dad inside the letter. I miss being at Grimmauld Place. The executioner will be heading for Hagrid's in about two hours, so I figure I'll go down now.
Halfway there, I saw the gang, coming back up the hill. I thought they were getting Ginny ready? Then I noticed the small red head in between Nat and Mione, head hung low an puffy eyes. She's crying? "Ginny!" I yell, running forward. Her head snaps up, she sniffles, running back at me. I open my arms and she wraps hers around my waist. "What happened?"

"He, he called me ugly and said I'm to little and disgusting for anyone to like!" She wailed, clinging to my robes. My vision turned red, and I glared at the common room window, hoping he was in there.
"Ginny, he's a prat! He doesn't know anything! Your absolutely gorgeous and your only going to get prettier as you grow up!"
I said down, pulling her down beside me. She rested her head on my shoulder, still whimpering softly. "Gin. Part of life is learning to ignore what other people say, and listening to your heart. I want you to forget what he said, put it behind you, okay? One day he'll be sorry! An in the mean time, you continue to be you, because your a wonderful person!"
"You mean it?" She whispered, looking up at me sadly. She had make up pouring down her cheeks, her face was red and tear stained, and the poor girl looked miserable. I nodded, giving her a small smile. Pulling out my wand, I fixed her up immediately. "Thanks Gracie. I'm going back to the castle! Give Hagrid my best?"
"Sure thing sis!" I ruffled her hair, smiling at her. She skipped up to the castle, leaving the rest of us standing there in the pathway.
"That was really deep Gracie!" Mione said, linking our arms. Nat nodded, linking arms with Mione. I gave them both a smile, but didn't say anything. That feeling is stirring and it's starting to scare me. Harry wrapped an arm around my waist and Ron stood on the other side of Harry.
I zoned out on the way there, the only thing I caught was Hermione punching Malfoy in the face. I managed to say 'brilliant!' correctly, but that's it. My whole body was tingling and my temper was rising though I don't know why.
I comforted Hagrid with the rest of them, but I couldn't focus. I couldn't hear any words anyone was saying. It's like I'm there, but I'm not. We ran and ran when the coroner came. I finally snapped out of my stupor when they brought the ax down.

"Harry!" I yelped, jumping closer to him. He held me, shushing me quietly, rubbing my back and letting me ruin his shirt with my salty tears.
"It's okay love. It'll be okay!" He said, holding me even tighter.
"Gracie watch out!" Ron bellowed, grasping for me, but it was too late. I felt the pain before it even hit. I know what this feels like and it's not pleasant. "Gracie!" Ron whipped out a wand, his voice tearing through my screams.
"No!" I yelled, pulling out my own wand. "This is my fight! Go get help!" I commanded. Mione and Nat cried, but nodded going anyway. Ron nodded reluctantly following, but Harry didn't move. Just glared at Peter as he continued the cruciatus curse.
Pushing myself up, fighting the pain, I felt both male's eyes on me, including a few more. I heard Hagrid and the minister in the background. "Merlin's beard Albus help her!"
"Please Professor! Don't let him hurt Gracie! She's a good girl! Please Professor! Help her!" Hagrid wailed, but I tuned them out after that. This is my fight, and everyone knows it. Uncle Lupin, McGonagall, Snape, the girls, and Ron came running back, just in time for me to stand up straight. I was shaking madly, and I saw Peter's eyes widen.
"No more Peter! Stupefy!" I yelled, I felt the pain go away as he blocked my spell.
"Crucio!"
"Protego! Don't even think about it Pettigrew!" I hissed, glaring at him. "Expelliarmus!" He flicked his wand, deflecting the spell.
"Avada kedavra!"
A chorus of no's sounded behind me, Dad's the loudest. When did he get here? "Protego!" I yelled, swishing my wand as fast as I could. "I'll kill you!" I snarled. "Better yet, I want to watch them perform the dementor's kiss! Go to hell Peter!"
"Crucio!" The searing pain filled my body again. I dropped to my knees, a short scream escaped before I clamped my mouth shut. I heard crying in the background, but I pushed it away again, focusing on the rat in front of me. "Watch your mouth girl!"
I pushed myself up again, glaring at Pettigrew. "No! Expelliarmus!" His wand went flying and I caught it, smirking at him. "Game over. I win!" I sneered, stepping forward. All of a sudden, he changed into a rat, and then the moon came out. Uncle Lupin went berserk. Everything did. I shifted to my wolf, running after Pettigrew, howling into the night.
Uncle Lupin howled behind me, but he sees me as a threat now. He hasn't taken his potion this month! He followed, snapping at my heels. I hear other paws in the forest as well, but I'm going to get that rat. I saw him under a tree, so I rushed forward, sinking my teeth into him. When he shifted back, I stayed in my wolf form, tearing at his arm.
"Crucio!" The pain was unbearable in this form. I've had too much of this. Letting go if his arm, I blacked out. Uncle Lupin running at me, fangs bared, was the last thing I saw before I blacked out. In that moment, that I lay there, my eyes closing, I truly hated myself.
How could I let him get away?

Transmigration Retiree
"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Forced to continue collecting the materials and data from countless worlds that were destoryed in the process. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. This Alien AI goes to war with the gods and ends up nearly destroying an entire reality. The Angels condemn the troublemaking AI to life as normal child on a far off world....All truth said, the "AI" couldn't be happier. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.

Reincarnation of a Businessman
A businessman is betrayed by those he holds dearest and reincarnates into a mystical world of cultivation where the power of a single person can split the heavens. However, his reincarnation does not go smoothly... ******************** This is a xianxia (cultivation/progression fantasy) story which fuses a lot of western fantasy elements. This story includes POV's of different characters which are all going to be developed in the future and will have an effect on the story. The novel is named after the reincarnation of the businessman which serves as a cataclysm in the world of cultivation, and while the MC uses some of his business knowledge, this novel is not centered around the MC creating a business empire. I plan to extend the story into at least 2 books, both taking place in the same world. ******************** Updates will happen once every 2 days, but this is often going to change to once every day or once every 3 days because I am not currently writing full-time, and neither is my editor.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess.
