《A Harry Potter Love Story: Gracie Style *Completed*》Chapter 9

Okay. So. It's been a few weeks and guess what today! Yep. A full moon! Uncle Moony is having some troubles. Professor Snape said that he'd make a potion, but he'll still turn wolf. I'm trying to talk him into the shrieking shack, and I want to go with him!
"Please!"
"No Gracelyn! I like the shack idea, but you aren't going!"
"You aren't doing it by yourself!" I demanded. No way! I watched as his features softened.
"Just like your father. But Gracie, the answer is still no. I've been doing it by myself for quite sometime now. I'll be alright!" He said, walking towards the door. I'm not finished mister! I ran ahead of him, planting myself in the entrance.
"I'm coming. You're my godfather, and you have helped me through a lot over the years. I love you too much to have you sit in that stupid shack all by yourself. I'll be danged if you do! See you tonight!" I left him there, mouth hanging open and skipped out the door. Heading to potions.
"Hey guys!" I chirped, taking my seat beside Nat. Ron and Harry waved, and Hermione turned around in her seat to talk to us before Snape walks in. I wonder if he would get mad if I called him Snivellus like Dad did? Better now. Best not add fuel to the flame. Plus that's mean.
"Where were you?"
"Calm down Mione. I just stopped to talk to Uncle M-Remus."
"Oh?" She turned around, looking confused at my little word slip. Yes, that's right turn around and pretend you didn't hear it! Thanks Mione!
"You're so weird!" Nat snickered, leaning back in her chair.
"What?"
"You know you said that out loud right?"
"No I did not!" I hissed, looking around.
"Ms. Black! And the other one!" We laughed, we always do. That just amuses us to extremities. "I suggest you be quiet!"
Yeah yeah Snivellus!
I got an elbow to the ribs by Nat. "What?" I hissed, rubbing my now sore rib. That still hurts! Jeez! Stupid baby rib. Why do ya have to be so weak?
"Talking out loud again!" I made an oh face while a few classmates laughed and giggled. I turned back to look at Professor Snape. Ahh the glare. All well. I got one too, wanna see? Please tell me I didn't say that out loud too! Nope elbow, no laughing, I'm good!
"Oops?" I offered, bowing my head. Don't make eye contact!
"Thirty points from Gryffindor!" I figured they would be mad, but they weren't. The bell rang shortly after and a few told me I was funny.
"Not really. That was mean," I muttered. I've been avoiding Mione, I know what she'll say and I don't want to hear it. "What's next?"
"We have History of Magic! You still haven't memorized your schedule?" Ron asked, smirking at me.
"Oh wipe off the smirk. I've memorized it, I just didn't feel like digging through my brain to find it!"
Harry and Natalyn laughed. As usual. "That's great Gracie! That really is!" Harry slung an arm over my shoulder, steering me down the corridors. I missed hanging out with Harry alone. Like at the park or just shifting and going into the woods together. "So how is your Uncle Lupin?"
"What?" I whispered, probably cracked my neck to! I spun around so fast. But no one knows he's a wolf but me. How does Harry know?

"How is he? I haven't really had a chance to talk to him since we got here?" He sounded unsure and was giving me a funny look. I, on the other hand, have relaxed, now that I know the secret isn't out.
"Oh. Sorry. Guess I'm a little paranoid. He says he's okay, but he always does!" He nodded, squeezing my shoulders a bit.
"I'm sure he'll be alright. Don't worry Gracie!"
"Thanks Harry. Now, lets go learn about goblins and stuff!" I giggled, walking through the door backwards. He followed, shaking his head and laughing.
"Gracie! Over here!" Mione called, waving me over. I looked at Harry, giving him an apologetic look, we had planned to sit together this class, but I didn't want to shoot down Mione. First of all, there's that rule, sisters before misters. Mione taught us that when she came to the Weasley's last summer. Second, she does this disappearing thing all the time, so it's hard to see her. Especially with all the homework she has now days. And third, it's getting harder and harder for me to pay attention in here. Mione is the only reason I'm still getting good marks in this class. She still copies all her notes for me to make sure I have them all.
"Thanks for sitting with me. I'm just tired of sitting by myself, you know?" I nodded, giving her a smile.
"It's fine. Nat apparently doesn't mind sitting by herself, so it all worked out!" I giggled, pointing at Natalyn. She had placed her books on one side of the desk and was leaning her chair back on the legs, hands folded behind her head and feet on the desk. "As long as she doesn't hurt herself doing that we'll all be fine!"
"That is dangerous Nat!" Mione called, ignoring my second sentence. Well third. But all well.
"Yeah yeah. It's comfortable though! Try it Mione!" Don't see that happening. Mione was giving her a look a indignation, like she thought it was the end of the world Nat even think to ask her something like that. Personally, I wanna try it.
"Oi!" Nat and Harry turned my direction, as well as a few other. But I'm not talking to them. "When's the next practice?" That's right. Quidditch is back! I'm so excited! Ginny is a back up chaser too! And Angelina is a sixth year, so that means in two years, Ginny can be on the team!
"Tomorrow I think!" Harry smiled, turning back to Ron.
"Thanks!" I turned to Nat. "What do you think of the strategies they have planned out this year?"
"Eh. They're alright. If we do it right they'll work, but not if even one thing goes wrong." She shrugged, looking at the other quidditch players in the room. This is a class with Hufflepuff, and a few of they're players were listening.
"Write that down!"
"Make sure to tell Cedric!" Blah blah. Our strategies aren't that fragile. Actually, Wood wanted us to make it seem like they were, so that we could surprise the other teams in the matches. But if they're really stupid enough to fall for it, eh. We'll see what happened I guess.
"Hey! Ron and I were talking," Nat, Mione, and I turned to Harry. "You guys want to visit Hagrid?" Of course all three of us said yes. Tomorrow at break?" We nodded again. Harry and Ron turned around.
"Has class started?" I whispered, I was talking to Nat, but guess who answered! Ding ding ding! Hermione! All well. Got to love her.

"Yes!" She hissed. "Now turn around an at least pretend your listening!"
"Okay okay!" I giggled, turning around. A few other Gryffindor's heard and some of them stopped talking, but not most. I always feel bad in this class, I don't mean to be rude, it's not his fault it's so boring! But, there are portraits on the walls, ones that he buys or orders to go with each lesson. So, while Mione's taking notes, I sit and sketch the drawings, and then match the notes to them later. On the back, I usually have a full lesson. I think that's why Mione agrees to do the notes, she knows that I do this and it pleases her to no end.
I started out horribly, but the more I draw the better I get. So now it's kind of fun. And I'm not bad. I'm better at paying attention to detail too. "You should really show those to Professor Binns, a finished one I mean!" Mione whispered, but she was still scribbling notes furiously.
"Maybe I will someday. Or maybe I'll save it and pass it on to my kids. Goodness knows they'll probably need them!" I giggled, looking at my drawing. It was of some goblin battle, I'll find out which later.
"Well, at least you do something. Their father has no attention span! He sits and talks the whole class time!" She grumbled, still writing notes. I don't know how, she writes quicker than he speaks!
"Their father?" I asked, confused.
"Harry obviously!" Nat hissed, leaning forward. She patted Mione's shoulder. "Don't worry. I'm not a twit. I can see it. And so can Ron. And Fred. And George."
"Oh everyone can! Even the Hufflepuff's! Now would you please be quiet!" Hannah whisper-yelled. She was a Hufflepuff sitting close to us. Nat and I made a face, but Hermione shut up, continuing to work.
I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. How can they tell? We're thirteen for crying out loud!
"The same way everyone could tell Lilly and James were going to be together! And the same way we can tell Ron and Hermione are obviously should be together!" Nat snickered, answering my thoughts. Well, apparently it was a voiced question. Since when do I do that?
We got quiet after that. I worked on my drawing, Ron and Harry talked, obviously planning o copying one of us later, and Nat, well I don't know what she was doing. Two minutes later, my question was answered. She sent me a note!
'Are you going with Moony tonight?'
She knows? I shot her a confused look, but she rolled her eyes. "I know!" She mouthed, shaking her head. I nodded, turning back to the note.
'Yeah. The shack. I'm going to become Spirit. What do you say Phantom?'
'Phantom says heck yeah! Are we taking Prongs?'
'He doesn't know. What are we going to say to get out of it? We won't be back till late?'
'A chasers only emergency practice?'
'He might see Katie, Angelina, or Ginny!'
'Crud. Uh, we could go with going to bed early and then sneak down?'
'We'll leave at dinner, because he has to be in the shack by seven fifteen. Potion taken. So we'll pretend to be at the library or something.'
'If they don't see us there?'
'We got bored and went to bed early?'
'I'm done with this, why don't we say that we're going to talk to him?'
'Because they might want to come!'
'Okay. So we don't give them an excuse. We just say see you later!'
'Works for me!' I sent the note back one last time, and hurried to finish my drawing before the bell rang.
*******************************************
"Ready Nat?" I asked, standing up from the dinner table. She nodded, standing up as well.
"Where are you guys going?" Fred asked, dropping his hand from Natalyn's.
"Not sure yet. We just wanted to walk around. We'll probably see you guys in the corridors!" Nat shrugged, making the lie seem smooth and easy. I don't know how she did it though.
"Okay, see you later!" Harry stood up and kissed my cheek, then sat back down.
"Bye!" I waved, smiling and blushing. Nat and I took off speed walking out the hall. We walked to the front if the castle, pushing open the doors and making a beeline for the Whomping Willow.
"We have to get past that thing?" Nat shrieked, sounding horrified by the thought. I rolled by eyes casting the 'immobulus' spell and heading for the tunnel. "No ones around now go!"
I slid in, followed by Natalyn. "Lumos!" I muttered, lighting my wand. Nat did the same, following me through the dark tunnel. "Okay. Go ahead and shift here, kay?" She nodded, already turning into Phantom. I went ahead and shoved my wand in my boot, then shifted.
We walked along the path, just looking around. When we finally got to the shack, I started to head upstairs, but there was a big black dog guarding the entrance. Dad! Why's he here? I don't know whether to be excited or confused. Possibly angry? But I decided on confused, because that's what he looked like. We both shifted back, then Nat did.
"What are you doing here?" We chorused. Nat giggled, but we rolled our eyes. "I'm not going to let my Uncle/Best Friend go through this alone!" We chorused again. Nat was full on laughing now. "Stop that!" We chorused for the final time, shivering while we were at it.
"Creepy!" I shuddered, looking up at my dad with a small smile. "Their right, I really am like you!" I giggled, giving him a hug. He hugged me back, chuckling himself.
"Well Sirius. I'm sorry she's here. I couldn't stop her though!" Uncle Moony came in, smiling at the two of us. "I tried, but I believe her words were, 'I'll be danged if you sir in this shack by yourself!'" He chuckled, ruffling my hair. Dad held his stomach he was laughing so hard. "Didn't even let me reply. Said that, then told me she'd see me tonight and left!"
"Your!" Laugh "definitely" laugh, "my" laugh. Okay you get the laugh part. "Daughter!" Continuos laughter. I nodded, smiling at him. But Uncle Lupin wasn't smiling anymore. The moon had come up and was visible through the window. Good thing it's a Friday, no ones going to be able to do anything in the morning.
"Shift now!" Dad hissed, stepping in front of the two of us girls. Uncle Moony ran upstairs while we shifted. "I'll bark when it's safe to come up!" Dad shifted, running after him. We heard Uncle Moony explain that he can control his behavior now, with the help of his potion. So of course Dad barked, and we trotted up the steps, into the same room I came to the other day.
I got to howl with a werewolf! How awesome is that?

Majority Rule
Readers choose from a selection of options for participants of a survival game show known as "Can Anyone Beat Level 10?". Each level has some monsters to kill and a boss at the end. Treasure chests and traps are available. Treasure chests, if opened successfully, give decent weapons, first aid kits, etc. If unsuccessful, treasure chests will either explode, taking some health from player or do become permanently closed. Monsters in dungeon levels depend on the theme of the week. This game show occurs on the first week of every month. The game just showed up out of nowhere and many people were interested in it as they attended the live version of the show. As for its mysteries...well, who knows? Maybe someone will solve them some day. But, for now, let the games begin! This is a story that depends on the votes of the viewers using the poll system. I will probably wait a week or so per poll in order to accumulate enough votes. After the week is up, viewers can still vote but it won't affect the story. This is my first interactive fiction so it might not be on par with the better ones. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed reading this story. Thanks.
