《A Harry Potter Love Story: Gracie Style *Completed*》Chapter 6

"Harry! Harry!" I squealed, shaking him over and over. "Please wake up, please!" I whispered, feeling the tears sting my eyes. But I didn't let them fall, no. I was stronger than that. And so is Harry so why the bloody hell isn't he waking up?!
"Give him a minute Gracie! He hit his head kind of hard!" Uncle Lupin clapped a hand on my shoulder, pulling me back gently. I looked up at him and nodded, he handed me a piece of chocolate to help me feel better. See, I like the chocolate idea. Dementors make you feel depressed, like you'll never be happy again. Most girls, when they're upset or hurt, they eat chocolate. Coincidence? Don't think so!
Harry stirred, beside me. He groaned and sat up, clutching his head. "What happened?"
"You passed out!" Nat sang, giggling a bit. I don't think she was laughing about Harry, I think she was still laughing about the Draco thing. Apparently, he ran from compartment to compartment hoping to get away from the dementor. I wanted to giggle, myself, but nows not the time.
"We thought you were having a fit for a minute! Gave us a right good scare mate!" Ron held out a hand, helping Harry up. I watched the whole thing, not saying a word. Uncle Lupin gave Harry a piece of chocolate.
"Eat this. It'll make you feel better!" Harry nodded, taking a bite of the chocolate. For a minute no one said anything. I saw Ginny shaking on a seat by herself, so I moved up there, wrapping an arm around her and shaking her gently, trying to calm her down.
"Thanks!" Harry said, taking the last bite of the chocolate. "But, what was that thing?" I wanted to answer, I really did, but I just couldn't find the words right now. Even after the chocolate, I still had this sinking feeling in my stomach. That wouldn't be the last time we saw a dementor at Hogwarts, and that's a fact.
Thankfully, Uncle Lupin answered for me. "That, was a dementor. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go have a word with the driver. You kids might want to change into your robes, we should be arriving soon!" He nodded at all of us, then left the compartment.
"Well, I say boys leave because you're outnumbered!" Nat smirked, crossing we arms over her chest. I rolled my eyes, standing up to get my robes. My silence hasn't gone unnoticed, I can feel the eyes boring into my back, though I'm not quite sure whose.
"Fine. We'll leave. But I don't see why we can't all change in here. Care to explain love?" Fred teased, batting his eyes at Nat. I wanted to roll my eyes again, but that would take to much energy. I really just want to go to bed. I'll have to find a prefect and get the password early. I'll stay for the sorting, but no more.

"Oi! Weasley! Quit perving on my cousin!" Malfoy spat, throwing the door open. Not wanting to put up with his crap, I turned on him with my signature glare, the one only Nat could avoid. I pulled out my wand and held up three fingers, dropping one a second later. That's all it took. I watched as every boy in the compartment shrank back against the wall. Draco looked like he'd seen the grim reaper, he tore out of the like a bat out of hell.
"Wicked!" The twins chorused, smiling at me. I gave them a brief half smirk before turning back to the task at hand. Getting my robes out of my trunk. I'm tempted to just use magic, but nah. To easy. The boys finally left and I finally got my robes out. We closed the blinds and locked the door, sealing it with a spell the twins had told us before they left.
"Okay. Spill it. What's wrong?" Nat asked, glaring at me. Mione, who hasn't said much since she came to the Leaky Cauldron, stood beside her, arms crossed and tapping her foot, as if waiting for an answer as well.
"Nothing!" I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "The dementor just creeped me out a bit," I whispered, turning to stuff my clothes in my trunk.
"How did you know how to fight it?" Ginny asked, standing beside the other too. I sighed again, resting my head on the wall.
"I had to learn it when I went to Azkaban to visit Dad. I had to fight a dementor off before I could see him. Dumbledore taught me the spell!" I mumbled, sitting on the bench. I rested my head against the cool window pane. They all looked at me with worry for a minute. "Really guys, I'm fine. Besides, how could I not be. Did you see Draco's face?"
They laughed, and so did I. I'm glad it worked, not only did it distract me, but it also provided a change in topic. Right as the boys came up to the door, knocking, the train came to a stop again, this time, it meant we were there. I looked out the window, seeing the castle again.
'Welcome back!'
*******************************************
"Gryffindor!" I clapped with everyone else as the last kid was sorted. There was a ridiculously small amount of Gryffindor's this year. Maybe twelve total. Hardly enough for half a class, but whatever I guess. The Slytherins however, got over half the first years, each kid who went up looked almost eviller than the next.
I really wanted to go to my dorm, but then I saw desserts. 'Comfort food!' I justified, leaning over to grab some. Harry watched me, but didn't say anything. Ron however, did.
"Why aren't you eating?"
"I don't know. I need chocolate. I, I guess it has something to do with the dementor." I shrugged, taking a bite of the chocolate pudding. He nodded, shrugging his shoulders. He piled his plate high, biting into it messily. Yuck.

"Are you okay?" Harry whispered, leaning towards me. I shot him a smile, nodding my head.
"I'm fine. What about you?"
"Well, I'm ready to punch Malfoy in the nose, but other than that, I'm fine!" He said, shrugging his shoulders like it was the most casual thing in the world. I giggled a bit, taking another bite of pudding.
"How come?"
"Look!" He pointed over his shoulder, allowing me to follow his gaze towards Malfoy, who was laughing with his friends. I was about to turn around, asking Harry what was wrong, when I saw him act like he was fainting and pointed at Harry, laughing some more. This time, he caught my eye, he shut up and turned around, talking to the Zambini kid.
"Oh. Well, you have my permission!" I grumbled, stuffing my face some more. I only had a small helping, and I wanted more, but that's not going to help any, so instead, I pushed my plate away and looked around the hall. Ginny was sitting beside Dean, who was obviously flirting with her. Her face was red, she was blushing.
"Gracie?" Harry's whisper turned my attention back to him. I nodded, letting him I was listening. "W, Who screamed on the train?" My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion, and then it dawned on me. Nobody screamed. But dementors make you relieve the worst moment in your life. It was his Mum. That was the only explanation.
"No one screamed Harry," I but my lip, letting my sentence trail.
*******************************************
We could hear the boys messing around in their dorm, I forget what the candy is called, but the one that lets you make animal noises. Us girls, however, were sitting in a circle on the floor, in our pajamas, just talking. I was sitting indian style with a pillow clutched to my chest. Ginny was laying on her stomach, ankles crossed in the air, a pillow in front of her. Natalyn was sitting on her pillow, and Mione was actually laying down, using her pillow to prop her head up so she could look at us.
"Wanna play truth or dare?" Nat giggled, looking at each of us. Do I want to play truth or dare? It could be highly dangerous, but it could also be very fun.
"Yes!" Ginny and I said simultaneously. I looked at her in shock, but she just giggled, shrugging her shoulders. Well alrighty then....
Mione bit her lip, but nodded anyway. "I'll go first!" We all nodded, encouraging her. "Ginny, truth or dare?"
"I'm not stupid! Truth!" She giggled, looking at Mione. Hermione smirked, an evil one. I'm so proud!
"Do you like Dean?"
We all turned to Ginny expectantly. Her face was red, it was so bright we could see it in the dark. "Y, yes!" She stuttered, looking nervous. "Gracie, truth or dare?"
Truth or dare?
"Dare!" I giggled, smiling at each of them. They all smirked at me, looking absolutely evil. I'm regretting that answer....
"I dare you too, hmmmm, Natalyn? Assistance?" Ginny said, turning to Nat.
"You have to tell Ron you slept with Harry!" She laughed, staring at me. I glared, knowing I had to do it or she'd never let it go. "You can't tell him it's a lie for ten minutes!"
"Woah! Ten?" Mione gasped, her jaw dropping. I agree, ten would get someone killed!
"Maybe five Nat, you know Ron!" Ginny giggled, flipping her hair over her shoulder dramatically.
"I bet Mione knows him better!" I smirked, glancing at her out of the corner of my eye. She glared, her cheeks heating up. "Okay. Mione, truth or dare?"
"Dare!" She lifted her chin defiantly, trying to be brave. Bad choice.
"I dare you to go snog Ron. Right now!"
Needless to say all their jaws dropped.
Five minutes later, we were outside the boys room, listening to Mione.
"Ron, can I talk to you?"
"What for?" I rolled my eyes. Ugly git. Not really. But why does he have to be so stupid?! I wanted to face palm. Only Ronald.
"I, I need to tell you something!" Her voice dropped, her confidence with it. I wanted to slap Ron. I wanted them to get together, that was the whole point of the dare! They obviously like each other! Everyone knew it! Even in first year when they were horrid to each other! Grow up Ron!
"About?"
"I'm done with this!" We heard her footsteps cross the floor, we threw the door open just in time to see her snog Ron. And for a while. We watched in shock, the other boys' eyes darted between those two and the rest of us girls at the door. A little while later, Mione pulled away, and turned to us with a satisfied smirk on her face.
Ron was frozen. He looked so surprised! I think Mione gave him a heart attack, I really do. He's not moving and blood is rushing to his face. I couldn't help it, I laughed. And so did Natalyn, and Ginny. We were all three nearly rolling on the ground laughing.
"Okay Mione. I think you win!" I panted between laughs.
"She DEFINITELY won!" Natalyn laughed, rolling too her stomach beside me. Ginny on the other side.
"Good. Now lets go!" Mione snapped, stepping over us and out the door. Ginny left next, then Natalyn. I stood up and smiled out the open mouthed boys.
"Night!" I giggled, giving them an innocent smile and a flirty wave before walking out the door. That was brilliant!
