《Saving Gracie | ✓》Chapter Fifty Five: Wink At Her So I Can Prove My Point.

I look at myself in the mirror and can't help but let the smile crawl it's way onto my face. Nicole stands behind me, her own smile on her face as she looks at what she has done to me.
My short, dark purple hair is curled to perfection and with the little amount of makeup Nicole had put on me is honestly leaving me stunned. My skin isn't the usual pale colour it has been for a while and now, it is much more toned. My emerald green eyes are shinning brightly as I look myself over, proud of Nicole's work. The purple dress that Luke bought me is clinging nicely to my body and stops just above my knee.
Honestly, how does a player pick out a suitable dress for a girl? I must ask him that tonight when I get a chance...
I look at the black flats that I had stored in my wardrobe for a while and smile. I look myself over once more before turning around to thank Nicole. My smile widens and I bring Nicole into a hug.
"Thank you, Nicole. You did an amazing job." I say and Nicole flips her straight, brown hair over her shoulder.
"I know I did." Nicole says and I let out a laugh, looking at what Nicole is wearing; a simple black dress that goes down to her ankles. It is strapless, which shows off Nicole's incredible collar bone and toned skin. Her brown hair is straightened and the bruise that was on her eye is covered up with makeup. You can see it a little if you are up close but from far away, Nicole still looks as beautiful as always. I don't know how she does it, honestly!
"Wow, you two look stunning." I hear someone say and we both break apart to see Bennet leaning against the doorframe with a small smile on his face. I walk over to him and bring him into a hug.

"Thanks." I say with a smile and pull away from him. "Did you ask Eve?" I ask and Bennet nods.
"Why do you think I wasn't here yesterday afternoon? I was packing." Bennet says and a grin spreads across my face.
"Remind me to thank Eve when I get back." I say and Bennet chuckles. I turn around to look at Nicole who is looking down at the ground with a small smile.
"Nicole..." I call. Nicole looks up at me, her eyes wide. "Ready to go?" I ask and Nicole nods. I look back at Bennet to see him smiling at Nicole. I can't help but roll my eyes.
"You haven't even been here for a week and your already attracting girls." I say and Nicole coughs. I turn around and look at her, a grin still on my face.
"If your talking about me, you are so wrong." Nicole says and I raise my eyebrow at her. I look back at Bennet.
"Wink at her so I can prove my point." I say and Bennet does as he is told. I look over to see Nicole's cheeks turning a slight shade of pink. I grab Nicole's hand and pull her out of my room, rolling my eyes.
"And you said that I was wrong." I say and before Nicole can even say a word, Eve notices us and a grin spreads on her face.
"Oh you two look absolutely breathtaking!" Eve says and I let out a laugh.
"We know, we know." I say and before Nicole and I can leave so we can head to the school dance, Eve grabs my hand.
"You two aren't leaving until I get a photo."

As Nicole and I begin to walk towards the gymnasium where the dance is being held, I can't stop the memories of last year's school dance flood into my mind.

"Now, for the moment we have all been waiting for..." Ember grins proudly and I can't help but let out a nervous sigh. "The choir is now going to perform for us in front of the whole school!" Ember shouts and the crowd begins to go crazy; clapping, shouting and whistling. I know they aren't cheering the whole team on, they are just cheering one person on.
Nicole.
As the curtains begin to draw, the choir begins to walk out into the light. I find myself walking behind everyone and suddenly, before I can even comprehend what is happening, I trip over something and fall flat on my face, my dress rising up, revealing my underwear to the whole school.
The students begin to laugh and I find the courage to stand up, looking at the person who tripped me on purpose.
Ember.
"Hey, are you okay?" Nicole asks, bringing me out of my thoughts and I nod, waving her off.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about things." I say and Nicole frowns.
"Don't worry about Ember. She said she isn't coming tonight." Nicole says and I bite my tongue.
And that's suppose to make me feel better? That's only making it more suspicious!
"Oh, I guess that's okay." I lie and Nicole smiles.
"You bet. Now, you go and find your boyfriend while I go and retouch my makeup." Nicole says before disappearing and I let out a sigh, standing in front of the gymnasium doors. I push the thoughts away from my mind and push the doors open.
I gasp and look around the gym, my eyes widening in disbelief. The place looks amazing! There are pink and purple streamers everywhere and there are balloons spreading across the ceiling, sticking to it. A few tables are set to the side and there is enough room for the dance at the end of the night.
God, why am I even here, I think to myself, looking at the few people who are sitting at the tables with cups in their hands. I let out a sigh and shake my head.
"I can't do this..." I say and just as I turn around, I bump into a hard chest, making me stop and blush in my tracks. I look up and I blush harder.
"Oops... sorry." I mutter and Luke lifts my chin up so I can look up at him.
"You can do this, Gracie. I'm here." Luke smiles and I bring him into a hug.
"Thank you." I mumble and Luke rubs my back. I look up at him and notice a smirk on his face. He leans down and brings his lips next to my ear, kissing it. I close my eyes, my blush still on my cheeks.
"You look beautiful by the way." Luke whispers in my ear, making my blush darken. Well, that's what I'm guessing. My face does feel pretty hot.
I look up and Luke and watch as his smirk widens. "S-So do you - I mean, you don't look beautiful, I'm just saying - wait, I'm not saying you don't look beautiful because you are but you look more - sexy!" I squeal out, feeling my hands begin to shake.
Luke tilts his head and grabs my hand, pulling me out of the gymnasium and into a classroom, closing the door behind him.
"Breathe." Luke says with a grin.
"Why?"
"Because your going to need to-" Before he can even finish his sentence, he grabs my waist and pushes me against a table, his lips crashing on mine. I place my hands behind me so I don't fall and kiss Luke back, a small smile on my lips.
Now I regret not taking a breath...
