《Saving Gracie | ✓》Chapter Forty Nine: Some Asshole Hit Me.

Suddenly, I feel my body come alive and I gasp, trying to look around but since the room or wherever I am is pitch black, I can't see a thing. I try to think about the possible people who could've kidnapped me but all of a sudden, my head begins to hurt, stopping me from thinking. When I go to hold my hand to my forehead, I pause, realising that my hands are strapped to something. I let out a cry and hand my head low.

"Wow, Grace. You just had to get yourself into this mess..." I mutter, shaking my head. I bite my lip and try to hold the tears in. I have no idea where I am and now, I am strapped to and chair and my head is killing me.

"Psst!" I hear a voice say and my head shoots up. The pain immediately comes back and I let out a groan. After the pain subsides after taking a few seep breathes, I furrow my eyebrows.

"Who was that?" I ask, trying to move my hands. All of a sudden, the light turns on, making my head hurt much more and also my eyes. I close my eyes, trying to take in the pain but it doesn't work. I breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth before opening my eyes.

I look at the boy in front of me with a string in his mouth. I look up to see that the string is near the light switch which makes me breathe out a sigh. He spits out the string and begins to shuffle his chair towards me.

"Grace..." He breathes out and my eyes widen in shock.

"How do you know my name?" I ask and the boy stops so that his knees are touching mine. I look at the boy's face and notice that his eyes are the same colour as mine - an emerald green - and his hair is a little darker than mine, just like my mom's hair.

Could he be... related to me?

No, that's impossible.

"I'm Bennet. You don't know me, Grace, but I know you." Bennet explains and I frown.

"Well, duh." I say and Bennet smiles. He looks at my face for a few seconds before smiling some more.

"You really do look like mom." Bennet says and my eyes widen in shock. Before I can say a word, the door swings open and we both look over at the person who is standing at the doorway. Almost immediately, my eyes go dark with anger.

"James!" I shout and James walks into the room, glancing between us. He grab the back of Bennet's chair and pulls him back to where his chair was before. I glance over at Bennet to see him glaring up at James.

"Nice to see you again, Grace." James greets, walking over to me. When he reaches me, he crouches down and grabs my chin, forcing me to look right into his eyes.

"Get your hands off of me!" I shout, shaking my head and James smiles and stands up, looking down at me. I hear a loud knock on the door and James sighs, running a hand through his hair.

"I'll be back, you two. Then we shall start." James says with a wink before leaving the room, closing the door behind him. I glance back over at Bennet and he frowns at me.

"You two know each other?" Bennet asks and I nod.

"Unfortunately." I mutter and Bennet nods, leaning back in his chair. He looks around the room before letting out a sigh.

"This 'James' guy really does not know anything about hygiene." Bennet says, nodding his head towards the sink where there is no soap. I let out a laugh but suddenly stop when the pain comes back.

"What happened to your head?" Bennet asks and I grit my teeth.

"Some asshole hit me." I say and Bennet raises his eyebrow at me.

"Who? James?" Bennet asks and I nod.

"I'm not sure but if I had to guess, I would say James." I say and Bennet shakes his head, clenching his jaw.

"From what I have already heard, I hate this James guy." Bennet says and I nod.

"Trust me, if I had the chance to never meet him, I would've taken it." I say and Bennet nods. As the silence gets the better of us, I watch as Bennet looks out the window, his brown hair falling to the side of his face. As I look at his face, I notice the small freckles that are running across the bridge of his nose.

My mom had freckles...

"Bennet..." I say and Bennet looks over at me, his eyebrow raised.

"Yes?"

Before I can ask him the question that has been running through my mind ever since I saw Bennet, the door swings open and there stands James with a smirk on his face.

"You would not believe who paid me a visit just now." James says and before I can even ask, a blonde gets thrown into a room, a bandana around his mouth. I let out a gasp when I realise who the blonde is.

"Luke!" I scream, watching as his body hits the floor. My eyes go wide and I look back at James to see him walking in with a chair. He grabs Luke off of the ground and sits him on the chair. He grabs some rope that he carried in and ties Luke's hands and feet to the chair so he can't move. When James is finished, I clench my jaw.

James turns to me and grabs a gun out of his back pocket, taking Bennet and I by suprise. "Anyone moves, you die." James says before walking out once again. I look over at Luke and let the tears form in my eyes.

"Luke, can you hear me?" I ask, looking at Luke's closed eyes. I gulp and bite my lip, repeating the words again. When I don't get a response, I let out a cry, letting the tears rush down my face.

"Ah, ah, don't cry! I won't allow that." I hear Bennet say and I look up at him, biting my lip.

"Why won't you?" I ask and Bennet sends me a small smile.

"Because your big brother doesn't like seeing his baby sister cry."
