《Saving Gracie | ✓》Chapter Forty Three: Please Don't Fall.

I run through the forest, ignoring the sweat that is dripping down the side of my face. A certain voice keeps calling my name and I turn around, trying to follow the sound of the voice but it keeps on coming from different directions, confusing me.
I stop and close my eyes, letting the sound ring through my ears. "Grace!" I hear the person yell again and I shake my head, falling to the ground and leaning against a large, thick oak tree.
"Grace!" The person calls again and I cover my ears with my hands, continuing to shake my head.
"Go away!" I scream but the voice continues to call my name. I begin to breathe heavily and my heart begins to race.
"Grace, it's okay." I hear a gentle voice say and I open my eyes, looking up at Luke who is smiling down at me. He holds out his hand and before I can grab onto it, I feel my body falling into the ground. I let out out a scream and look below me to see my parents fighting. Suddenly, I fall onto the kitchen floor and I watch as my father throws a bottle at my mom, a scream escaping my mom's lips.
All of a sudden, Luke appears out of no where and throws a punch at my father. Eve comes running in a few seconds later and begins to pull my father away from Luke who is as red as a tomato. I let out a gasp when I feel hands on my hips, making me turn around to see Randy. I scream and close my eyes, wanting to just go away from everything.
Suddenly, I find myself on the roof of the school with nearly all the students looking up at me with daring looks, like they are challenging me. The tears rush down my face and before I can fall, I open my eyes and sit up, panting heavily.
These dreams are going to be the end of me, I swear.

I look around me to see that I am in my room, a sleeping Luke by my side. I let out a sigh as I stretch out my arms above my head. I also stretch my legs until I hear a crack, immediately stopping as the sound makes me shiver in digust. I rub my eyes before opening them, looking back at Luke who has his face in the pillow.
I get out of bed and yawn again as I make my way out of my bedroom and into the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and cringe slightly. My hair is a mess and my face is as pale as ever.
"Yuck," I mutter, grabbing my toothbrush. I spread the toothpaste on my brush before running it under the tap for a second. I turn the tap off then begin to brush my teeth, looking at myself in the mirror. After brushing my teeth for three minutes, I wash my toothbrush and rinse my mouth, wiping it with the towel after I'm finished.
"Your up early." I hear someone say and I turn to the side to see Eve standing in the doorway with a small smile. I rub my eyes once more before nodding.
"Yeah..." I trail off and Eve let's out a sigh.
"Grace, can I ask you something?" Eve asks, grabbing my attention and I look over at her, frowning slightly.
"Yeah, go ahead." I say and Eve looks down at the ground before raising her head and shaking it. She waves me off and sighs.
"Actually never mind." Eve says and I nod slowly, a little confused about this conversation. The curiosity begins to get to me but I push it away and nod again.
"Okay," I say, walking out of the bathroom. I look behind my shoulder to see Eve walking back to her room with her hands on her stomach like she is in pain or something and I let out a sigh.

What did she want to ask me?
I walk back into my room and look at the time, my eyes beginning to fall from the lack of sleep. I climb back into bed and snuggle into Luke's chest when his arm pulls me towards him. I smile and let myself fall asleep in the arms of my boyfriend, finally feeling somewhat safe.

"So what do you feel like doing today?" Luke asks, sitting on my bed as he dries his hair with the towel. I bite my lip and turn around, not wanting to blush but something tells me that I already am.
"I-I don't know." I mutter and I feel Luke's warm body pressing against my back. I suck in a breath, remembering that he is only in a towel.
Please don't fall.
"You know, I thought you would be used to me by now." Luke says and I can practically imagine the smirk on his lips. I turn around and press my back against the wall, trying to not feel shy or intimated by him.
"I-I am." I stutter and Luke raises an eyebrow at me, his blonde hair sticking to his forehead. He places his hands on either side of me, caging me in. I look into his blue eyes, trying to push away the weird feelings that are in my stomach.
"No your not. Your as red as a tomato." Luke grins and I shake my head.
"Your seeing things." I say quickly and Luke takes his hand and places it on my cheek.
"And your burning." Luke adds and I shake my head again.
"I'm sick." I say, trying to hide the fact that Luke is right. I can't let him know that he is right because who knows where his ego might end up? It is already up in the clouds obviously so if he knows that he is right, it might just end up breaking through the atmosphere and ending up at Jupiter.
"Really?" Luke asks and I nod. Before Luke can say anything else, I quickly place my hands on his chest and push him away from me when I hear a knock on the door.
God, one minute I'm comfortable with Luke but now I'm acting as shy as ever.
What is wrong with me?
I walk over to the door and swing it open to see Jackson smiling at me. I look over my shoulder to see Luke who is glaring at Jackson. I roll my eyes and point over to his clothes so he can get them on and he scoffs before grabbing his clothes pushing past Jackson to go to the bathroom.
"Wow, he still thinks that I am hitting on you, huh?" Jackson laughs and I nod. Jackson points into the room and I nod, allowing him to walk in. He sits on the bed and pats the seat next to him. I do what I am told to do and take a seat next to him on my bed, watching as Jackson takes his cap off his head, revealing his brown short hair.
"So, has Eve told you?" Jackson asks and I furrow my eyebrows.
"Told me what?" I ask and Jackson let's out a sigh.
"Okay..." Jackson starts. "She is at the hospital." Jackson says and I gasp, covering my mouth. Before I can say anything, Jackson waves me off, obviously noticing my reaction.
"Nothing bad happened." Jackson says and I let out a sigh, nodding.
"Well... why is she at the hospital then?"
"She has an appointment with one of the doctors." Jackson says and I nod, wanting him to continue with what he is saying. He places his hand on my shoulder and sends me a warm smile that makes my heart race.
"She believes that she might be pregnant, Grace."

Romance - plus Judgemental Powers? Completed
Blue was a red headed boy who desperately wanted a girlfriend. So he asked the class beauty to walk home with him. She very nicely refused him. So he asked another girl in the same class, one with an average rating in the social status ranking. She also refused him. So, still desperate, he thinks – “I’m probably at the bottom of the ranking for boys in this class, so how about I ask the girl who is also at the lowest ranking?” The girl’s name was Pink. She said yes. Gulp. “What do I do now?” was his reaction. Well, obviously, have a romance. And, along the way, they get one hell of a lot more than they bargained for. Like, for example, supernatural Judgemental Powers. How did they get those? And that was only the start. The two most insignificant students in their class become famous. Not just in their class or even in their school, but to the population at large. They end up breaking and making the top politicians and rulers of their country. But finally, of course, they get what they wanted. A committed relationship. This is an Esmeralda the Angel of Death story. It follows on from my previous novel “Maybe it would have been a good idea not to wish for a harem?”, however it is a totally separate story with only a minimal overlap in the characters. There is no need to read the first story to enjoy this one. Although you just might enjoy the first story also… This story has multiple characters and multiple Points of View. Every POV change is clearly marked with a new header. Inside each POV section, the POV character’s thoughts are in italics. This story has about 105,000 words (about 380 RoyalRoad pages). It is fully written and proof read (the poor man’s proof read using Word). It has 25 chapters, and will be published at the rate of roughly one chapter per day.
