《Saving Gracie | ✓》Chapter Thirty One: I Can't Tell Him.

I look at the four boys who are sitting on the couch, staring at Luke and I as we take a seat on the couch opposite to them. I can't help but look over at Randy to see him looking anywhere but me.

I can't believe he is freaking here!

I shake my head slowly and look at the other three boys. The one next to Randy has black hair that covers one of his eyes and on his cheek is a deep scar that runs from the bottom of his eyes to his jaw. Luke introduced me to him before we sat down and I think his name is Jackson.

The guy next to Jackson is Daniel; the one who keeps messaging Luke about the payment. He has brown hair and bright blue eyes and from what I can see, he has a necklace with a turtle on it. Actually, I think I've seen him at school before during the assembly. The teacher had sat him next to me and from what I can remember, he got caught trying to give me drugs and that was the last day I ever saw him.

The last guy who is sitting on the edge of the couch is James from what Luke had told me. He has bright blonde hair and hazel eyes which seem to be staring deeply into mine.

Wierd.

"So... the money." Luke begins and all eyes go to him, burning into his blue eyes. Daniel nods slowly and leans into the couch, a small grin on his face.

"Yes, Luke, you will get the money but... I want something from Grace first." Before I can even react, Luke jumps up in anger and shock.

"What the hell? You said that if I brought her here with me, I would get the money!" Luke shouts in rage and I grab on Luke's hand and pull him back down on the couch.

"Yes I did but if you really want the money, you will give me what I want." Daniel says and I feel my heart race when Daniel's eyes connect with mine.

"Can I have a conversation with you?" Daniel asks and my eyes go wide. Luke's grip on my hand tightens but I try not to show any pain as I look between the four boys.

"I-I..." I look over to Luke to see his jaw clenching in anger. I rub my thumb over his hand to try and calm him down but this just makes Luke send me a small frown.

"We can just go-" I cut Luke off with a short glare.

"Luke, you need the money for your father so just calm down. I'll just see what Daniel has to say then he will give you the money and we will go." I say and Luke looks at Daniel before looking back at me.

"Are you sure?" Luke asks slowly and I nod, a small smile appearing on my lips. Luke squeezes my hand and sighs before turning back to the four boys.

"Five minutes." Luke says and Daniel nods, standing up from the couch. He tilts his head towards the kitchen and I stand up, walking over to where Daniel is.

When I enter the kitchen, Daniel closes the door behind him and leans against the counters, his elbows resting behind him. I stand in front of him, leaning against the row of counters behind me, crossing my arms across my chest.

"What do you want?" I ask and Daniel points back into the room.

"You and Randy to sort your shit out. You see, my brother hasn't been himself ever since everything went down with you and him which is why I told Luke to go for you. Yes, Luke will get the money for his father but the reason I wanted you to come here is to have a talk with my brother and get him back to his old self. Do you think you can do that?" Daniel asks and I gulp, the images of him touching me appearing in my mind. My hands begin to shake and I look around the room before looking back at Daniel.

"I-Its not that simple." I say and Daniel nods, taking out a cigarette from the packet beside him and holds it between his index and middle finger.

"I know but you just need to push everything away for a few minutes. I know it will be awkward but I promise you, his fucked up days are behind him. He can't sleep at night, he doesn't go outside and he hardly eats because of what happened between you and him. He feels so guilty and he just wants to apologize. I need you to let him, Grace." Daniel says and I gulp, squeezing my hands together.

I glance back at the door that leads into the living room and I bite my lip. "O-Okay." I mumble, looking back at Daniel and he smiles.

"Good girl." Daniel says and jaw clenches at the sudden memory that appears in my mind.

"Stop trying to resist me. Just... there you go." Randy says, his hands going from my rib cage down to my jeans.

"Good girl."

I shake my head slowly and watch as Daniel goes into the living room to go and get Randy. I breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth, trying to calm myself down but it's doesn't work. I pinch up my arm, holding in the tears that want to fall.

Be strong, Grace. You can do this, my brain says and I nod slowly, looking down at my shoes.

I hear the kitchen door swing open and I feel my breathing become heavy as I look over my shoulder to see Randy walk in with his head down. Daniel follows and closes the door behind him, walking back over to his original spot.

"Okay, let's begin, shall we?" Daniel says, lighting his cigarette with an orange lighter. I gulp and look over at Randy who is standing behind his brother, his head still down.

"Grace..." Randy begins and his voice immediately sends chills down my spine. I push the thoughts away and focus of Randy as he looks up at me, his grey eyes staring into my green ones.

"I'm so sorry. For everything. I know I can't take back those days that probably have been haunting you for a while but it's killing me too. I ruined our friendship and I ruined you." Randy says, his lips quivering as he continues to talk.

"I-I... I heard about your mom." Randy says, taking me by suprise. He takes a step closer to me and I freeze up. He let's out a sigh and scratches the back of his neck.

"Please?" Randy asks and I stay silent. I don't know why he is saying please but I have a feeling that he wants something from me.

He takes another step forward but this time, I don't move and I don't tell him to stay away. Randy takes this as an opportunity to continue to walk towards me and when he is directly in front of me, he engulfs me into a gentle hug.

"I'm sorry, Grace." Randy says and I nods slowly, deciding whether or not to hug him back. I look at Daniel and he nods slowly. I breathe in a sharp breath before wrapping my arms around the person who has caused me so much pain.

"Y-You know I can't just forgive you." I say quietly to Randy how is still holding me close to him. Randy nods and pulls away from me, staring into my green eyes.

"I know. I just want to say my apologies. I don't want you to forgive me because you don't deserve to. I've done so much to you and I can't go back and change that so don't worry." Randy says with a small frown and I nod.

I look at Daniel to see him grinning at his brother. "That wasn't so hard, was it?" Daniel asks, ruffling Randy's hair and Randy hits his hands away.

"Shut up." Randy mutters and I look between the two and I can't help but smile a little. Daniel really does care for his brother.

Hopefully, I've done what needs to be done for Daniel and for Luke.

"Can we head back in?" I ask and Daniel nods. I turn around and when I walk through the door, Luke jumps up and grabs my hand, pulling me behind him.

"You okay?" Luke asks, watching as Randy and Daniel walk out of the kitchen a few seconds later. I nod and pull him over to the couch, my hand still holding onto his.

Jackson hands a stack of cash to Daniel and he stands up, walking over to us and handing the money to Luke. "Thank you." Luke says and Daniel nods.

"All good. Now, you can get out of this shit hole and go back to making babies or whatever it is you two do." Daniel says and my face goes red almost immediately. Luke rolls his eyes and stands up as we walk out the door and towards Luke's car.

When we get in the car, Luke looks over at me with a small frown. "What did Daniel want you for?" Luke asks and I bite the inside of my cheek.

Does Luke know that Randy is the person that touched me three years ago?

Suddenly, the images of what Luke would do if I told him rush through my mind and I shake my head.

I can't tell him.

At least not now anyway.

"Nothing important." I say and Luke nods slowly, his eyes still on me as if he knows that there is more behind the two words that just came out of my mouth.

"Okay." Luke says before starting the car and beginning to drive off. As I look out the window, I can't help but finally feel somewhat calmer as Randy's words ring in my head.

"I'm sorry, Grace."

I lean into my chair and let out a sigh. After everything that I have been through, who knew that those two words that came out of Randy's mouth would make me feel more at ease.

Now, I just have to deal with Amy and hopefully it won't be as difficult as I think I will be.
