My heart sinks as I read the message over and over again. So many emotions are running through my head as I look at the word 'dare' on the screen.
What has Luke got himself into? What kind of dare is Daniel talking about? Does it have anything to do with me?
When I hear footsteps come up the stairs, I throw the phone back to where it was and try to calm my nerves so I don't look suspicious.
"Dinner is going to be ready in a few minutes so what do you want to do?" Luke come into his room, sitting on the edge of the bed and I shrug, masking my emotions.
I mean, that's what I am good at.
"Up to you." I reply, getting of the bed and standing on my feet with shaky legs. Luke stands up after grabbing his phone and he grabs my hand, leading me out of the room.
"Let's go and watch some television." Luke says and I nod.
Luke wouldn't hurt me, right?
Luke flashes me a small smile before heading down the stairs with me closely behind him. As I look at Luke's back, I let out a small sigh.
Please don't hurt me, Luke.

"Leave the door open at all times, okay?" Bree narrows her eyes at her son and Luke rolls his eyes but nods. I lay down on the airbed and watch as Bree switches the light off.
"Goodnight, you two." Bree smiles and I send her a wave while Luke nods. When Bree is out of sight, Luke turns to me and pats the space on his bed. I shake my head.
"I'm comfortable here." I say with a small smile and Luke chuckles.
"Come on, cuddle with me." Luke says and I let out a sigh and get up, walking over to Luke. He lays down and holds the blankets up so I can get in. I lay down next to Luke and face him, my nose so close to his.
"Luke?"
"Yes?"
"Can you promise me something?" I ask and Luke nods, a small smile on his face.
"Sure." Luke says and I nod, looking down at my hands.
"Don't ever hurt me." I mumble and Luke grabs my chin and forces me to look at him.
"Where is this coming from?" Luke asks gently and I shrug.
"I don't know. I just really like you - hell, I may even love you so I'm just saying-" Luke cuts me off by pressing his lips to mine, his hand resting on my face.

"Gracie, I will never hurt you." Luke says and I nod, a small smile on my lips. Luke wraps an arm around my side and pulls me closer to him.
"Now, get some sleep. I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be a big day." Luke says and I nod.
So do I, Luke.
So do I.

"Hey, Gracie, can I talk to you for a second?" Luke asks, standing at my door. I nod, skipping down the stairs towards him. As I go to wrap my arms around his neck, he grabs my arms, stopping me.
"Please... it will only make it harder." Luke says and I frown but don't say anything. I drop my hands to my side and step out the door, closing it behind me so Eve won't hear my conversation.
"Whats up?" I ask, trying to hide my emotions. I bite my lip nervously and Luke let's out a sigh.
"I can't do this anymore. I... I feel like this is going to lead into something that we both can't handle. I do like you but... I just don't want to hurt you in the long run." Luke explains and my heart clenches at his words.
He is breaking up with me?
"W-Why?" I stutter, trying to blink away the tears.
I can't lose him.
I can't let go of him this easily.
"Because like I said, I don't want to hurt you." Luke frowns, looking away from my eyes. I grab his hands and hold them in mine.
"Then don't hurt me at all." I say, looking in Luke's eyes. Luke turns to me and places a short but gentle kiss on my lips before letting go of my hands and stepping away from me.
"Please understand." Luke says and the first tear falls, my heart breaking more and more as another second passes.
"I don't want to." I mumble as I watch Luke's retreating figure. I fall to the ground and try to control my sobs but it's useless.
"I don't want to."
"Gracie, wake up." I hear someone say in my ear and I let out a whimper and grip at my hair.
"I don't want to." I say and suddenly, I shoot up, my eyes widening. I look to my side to see Luke smiling at me.
It was just a dream.
Oh my god.
I rub my eyes and let out a yawn, stretching my legs. I lay back down at look at Luke, my eyes getting watery. Luke notices this and brings me into a hug.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Luke asks and I shake my head, holding onto him.
"I'm just glad it was just a dream." I mumble and Luke pulls away from me and presses his lips to mine gently.
"Do you want to go back to your place to change? I want to take you somewhere today and I don't want you to walk around in the same clothes as yesterday." Luke chuckles and I nod, getting out of the bed.
"Okay."

I enter my house with Luke following behind me. I look around the living room to see Eve sleeping on the couch.
That's strange.
"Is that her?" Luke whispers and I nod. Luke nods slowly before following me as I begin to walk up the stairs. I hear my father's snoring as I pass his room and I let out a sigh.
"He's asleep." I say and Luke nods.
"Good because if he was awake, I would've put him to sleep." Luke says and I let out a sad sigh.
"Violence can't solve the problems that are inside my heart." I say as I enter my room and I grab a few clothes and hold them in my arms. Luke sits on my bed and I nod at him.
"I'll take a quick shower. Just stay here." I say and Luke nods as I walk into my bathroom. I close the door behind me and let out a sigh, running my hand through my hair. I place the clothes on the bench and begin to start the shower, suddenly feeling a little relaxed.
I strip from my clothes and get into the shower, running my face under the water. After washing my hair and body, I get out and wrap a towel around my body.
Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice in my room.
Oh no.
I find myself quickly putting on my clothes, trying not to slip over and I tie my hair in a bun before walking out of my room to see my father staring into Luke's eyes.
"Is this the boy?" My father asks, not bothering to look at me. I let out a sigh and before I can say anything, Luke lunges towards my father, tackling him. Luke throws a punch and I let out a scream and run out of my room to get the only person who can help me.
Eve.
I run down the stairs and begin to shake Eve, trying to wake her up. Eve let's out a groan and opens her eyes. When she sees me, her eyebrows narrow and I grab her hand and pull her off the couch.
"Luke and dad!" I say, panic in my voice and Eve instantly runs up the stairs and into my room. She looks at the scene and my eyes widen when I see my father throwing a punch into Luke's face, his nose dripping with blood. Eve and I begin to pull the two off each other and I hold Luke in my arms, staring down into his eyes.
"Are you okay?" I ask softly and Luke coughs, some blood pouring out of his mouth which makes my heart clench in pain. Luke snaps over to my father and sends him a hard glare.
"How could you... do this to your own... daughter?" Luke says, sucking in a few breaths. My father glares at Luke but doesn't say anything.
"You broke your family... apart. You cheated on your wife with someone else for years and just when Grace's mom dies... you bring her here? Do you not care... about anyone?" Luke says and I notices Eve's eyes widen.
"You said your wife passed away ten years ago!" Eve screams and my eyes go wide. I listen as Eve continues.
"I would've of been in a relationship with you if I knew Grace's mom died recently! Your making me look like the bitch!" Eve says, pushing my father out of her arms. I stand up and help Luke up, holding his hands. Once he is finally on his feet, I grab his hand and pull him out of my room. Before I can go though, Eve grabs my hand.
"I'm sorry, Grace." Eve says and I nod slowly.
"Its okay. My father always had problems." I say and for once, a smile appears on my face as I stare into Eve's eyes. Eve nods and brings me into a hug.
"Please... if you need anything, just call me, okay? I'm here for you unlike this bastard." Eve says and I nod, finding myself hug her back. Eve let's go of me before begining to yell at my father again and I turn around and grab Luke's hand, walking with him as we head down the stairs.
"Do you just want to stay at your place for today instead of going anywhere?" I ask and Luke shakes his head.
"I'll be fine. I just... need to wash my face and change since my shirt is covered in blood." Luke says and I frown at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Gracie. I'm sure."
