Time skip - 6 months

The best decision I have I ever made in my life was saying yes. Blake and me started dating and everything was like an absolute fairy tale. Blake is loving, caring and always there for me. He is just the person I needed in my life. Not to mention that he's the one that saved me. We went on many dates but my favorite was when we went on a run in the forest in our wolves forms. It was liberating, exhilarating and memorable. I wished that Xavier was more like Blake...speaking of Xavier, I stopped thinking of him entirely. Thoughts of him disappearing like a puff of smoke, relieving me from the pain of rejection. He might be my mate, but that doesn't mean much to me anymore, not when I have something as loving and perfect as Blake. He captured my heart with those sky blue eyes.

I am now the strongest werewolf warrior of the Crescent Moon Pack, all the training and dedicating paid off. Winter and I worked hard these last few months, going up the ranks and fighting duels. I help patrol and teach the beginners. Things have changed a lot since day one. The Beta blood in my blood pulsed strongly, I felt powerful, I was no longer the same weak werewolf that first arrived.

Those are the updates of my life, back to present day, this morning, after breakfast, Blake asked me to meet him in his office. He looked worried, to be honest, thus making me worried as well. As soon as I finished the waffles Charlotte made for me, I headed upstairs and made my way to the front of his office, a bad feeling in my gut. I raised my hand up to the big wooden double doors and knocked twice before waiting for permission to come in.

"Come in Evangeline," Blake called from behind the door. I opened the doors and entered. It was a simple room, a big wooden desk covered with loads of documents and other paper works, a large bookshelf filled with novels and a spacious navy blue sofa in a corner. I took a seat in front of his desk and looked at him curiously, waiting for him to start talking. "Okay Evangeline, but before I tell you anything, promise me that you will listen till the end." His tone was serious and I noticed a tinge of anger. I gulped, suddenly feeling nervous, "Alright... I promise." I looked at him wearily as he started talking, "One of the neighboring pack needs our help. They have been attacked by rogues often during these last few months and their warriors are very inexperienced compared to our own so I have decided to help them since they helped us fight a war between rogues a few years back. Returning the favor if you will. Since you are the best warrior of this pack, you, Jake, Charlotte, Maxwell, Jamie and I are all leaving tomorrow morning to their pack house. We are going to stay for two months in order to help them with werewolf training and teach them war strategies in order to prepare them for the war, in which we are also going to participate as well, as allies." Blake finished off. "Well, I'm happy to help Blake...but which pack is it?" I asked cautiously and nervously. Somehow, I was scared to know the answer. Blake tensed up, "That's the thing...Evangeline, the pack that needs our help is your old pack. The Moonlight Pack."

My whole world froze, I just sat there, utterly speechless. No way. This can't be happening. "Please say something, Evangeline..." Blake begged, getting up and walking over to where I was. I abruptly stood up with such force that I knocked the chair down. I was ready to bolt out of the room, but Blake caught me and pulled me into his chest, hugging me close. That's when the tears started coming, streaming endlessly down my face. I could not go back there. My fresh start, my new life, it was all here, in Crescent Moon Pack. Blake pulled me closer into his warm embrace and started to stroke my hair soothingly attempting to calm me down as I cried into his chest. "Ssh ssh Evangeline, it's going to be alright. I won't let them hurt you. I will protect you. I promise little one. I promise." He whispered in my ear.

I was inconsolable and continued to cry for a long while until finally, I had no tears left to shed. I lifted my head and looked up at him with bloodshot eyes, "Blake?" I called out to him in a small meek voice. "Yes, little one?" He answered, in a gentle voice, smiling softly down at me. "I will help the Moonlight Pack... but please never leave my side. Don't let them hurt me again. Promise?" He smiled and told me softly, "I promise Evangeline, don't worry. I'll stick with you like glue." I sniffled, rubbing my eyes like a small child, "Thank you, Blakey..." He gave me a heartwarming smile before kissing me on my nose, "Don't worry too much alright little one? I'll always be by your side to protect you. For now, you need to rest, I'll take you up to the bedroom."

Even though it was still morning time, I was exhausted and drained, I wanted nothing more than to sleep and forget for a moment about everything. I nodded my head weakly and let Blake carry me to our room. Blake placed me on the comfortable and familiar bed and tucked me in like a child. "Sleep well little one, call me if you need anything," he told me, stroking my cheek, placing a soft kiss on my forehead. I yawned and my eyes fluttered closed, "Thank you, Blake...." I mumbled, drifting off to sleep. Just before fully losing consciousness, I heard someone enter the room. "How did she react Blake?" the voice belonged to Jake. "She asleep keeps it down mate. And to answered frankly, she reacted like she should have... I hate to bring her back there, but it's something that we just couldn't refuse to do. We owe them." Blake answered a tinge of sadness and anger in his tone. "Yeah, it must be so hard on her... She is like the little sister Max and I don't have, we need to protect her. Those jerks are not to even lay a hand on her." Jake said in a protective tone. "I will protect her Jake. We all will. She is my everything." Blake told him as he gently brushed a loose piece of hair behind my ear. I blushed and managed a little smile, happy to hear how important I am to Blake and the rest of the family. In that moment, my body finally decided to give out and I fell into a deep, dreamless slumber.

"Wake up Evangeline." I heard someone call. "Mmmm? Five more minutes..." I muttered, rolling over. "You leave me no choice then...."

It's Friday, Friday

Gotta get down on Friday

Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend

Friday, Friday

Gettin' down on Friday

Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend

The person started singing on top of their lungs the most annoying song on the planet and did I mention that they sang it totally and utterly off-key? I didn't know what cats sound like when they are being squashed but I have a pretty good idea now. Before my ears start bleeding, I cracked open one eye to tell that person to go sing that awful song somewhere else, preferably a place in the middle of the Sahara desert where no one would hear her. From my limited vision, I saw Charlotte, standing on top of my bed, jumping up and down like a monkey and belting out Justin Bieber lyrics. "What the heck are you doing Char? Why do you always have to wake me up in the most terrible ways? Stop singing! You sound like a herd of monkeys fighting for a banana. Some people are trying to sleep you know." I shouted over her horrid singing, with my hands covering my ears as her singing got louder and louder. Charlotte stopped singing instantly and looked at me, grinning mischievously, "Well hello to you too Evangeline! I told you to wake up but you didn't listen so stop complaining about my beautiful singing. Anyways, Blake told me to come and get you for dinner." I gasped, "Dinner? Already? How long have I been asleep?" I questioned her. "All afternoon, it's 8:00 pm now." I groaned and rolled out of bed, rubbing my tear stained cheeks, "I'll be down in a few minutes." She nodded and gently grabbed my hand, her beaming smile disappearing and concern look replaced it, "Are you okay Eevee?" I gave her a small smile and reassuringly squeezed her hand, "I'll be fine."

After Charlotte left, I quickly brushed my out of control bed hair, washed my face with Laneige face wash and applied a fresh coat of mascara and my chapstick from Innisfree. I also changed my outfit, slipping on my soft Bambi onesie. Once I was ready, I made my way downstairs, the smell of tacos instantly came over my sense of smell. Blake spotted me as soon as I entered the dining room and came over. He gave me a quick kiss and then took my hand, leading me to the dining room where everyone was waiting. "Did you sleep well little one? Are you feeling better?" He asked, concerned and worried. "Yup, I sure did and I do feel a bit better," I answered with a little smile. "That's good, stay strong little one. You must be hungry, Charlotte, Sydney, and Jamie made tacos and nachos for dinner." Blake said as he pulled out my chair. I sat down and smiled at Blake gratefully, "My favorites, yay!" Blake took his own seat next to me and grinned.

Once everyone settled down, Maxwell asked me randomly, "Evangeline, what did you dream about?" I giggled a little bit, thinking back to my strange dream, "My dream was about being at a nail salon and a sloth was doing my nails. He kept telling me that I had "beautiful toenails and cuticles" and that my feet smelled like "a tropical fruit cake." Then, he started to sing the pen pineapple, apple pen song, I got annoyed because I didn't like that song so I asked E.T., who was sitting next to me, getting a pedicure as well, to stab the sloth to death with his pointer finger... Everyone paused their actions and looked at me strangely. "Uh... that's an interesting dream, Evangeline..." Jamie said, a little freaked out. "Yeah! It wasn't the weirdest dream I have ever had though... do you guys want to hear the weirdest one?" I inquired. "No thanks, we're good Evangeline" Peter answered, laughing nervously. I heard Jake whispered to Blake, thanks to my enhanced werewolf hearing, "Dude... your girl is scary... even her dreams are terrifying." Blake replied, whispering as well, "I know man... I never ever want to get on her bad side." I chuckled, what a bunch of loopy loops, little old me, scary?

After dinner, which I must say was absolutely delicious, we all gathered in the living room to watch a movie, which was a great distraction to my current situation if you asked me. Charlotte, Jamie, Sydney and I all got down on our knees and begged the guys to watch The Lion King. We finally had to use our secret weapon in order to get the guys to agree... the puppy dog eyes. The guys, being big softies they are, said yes, mainly because they could never resist our puppy dog eyes. I busted into tears when Simba's dad dies, it gets me every time. Blake laughed a little and hugged me closer. After the movie, I was half asleep so Blake carried me up to bed. I don't know why I felt so sleepy today, even though I slept for most of the day. I guess the news about seeing my old pack again must have really worn me out. I tried not to think about it too much, but I can't help but worry. I haven't seen or heard of them for more than 6 months. Are they going to hurt me again? How will they react? Will they remember me? Do they still hate me? I wondered so many questions that are still left unanswered running through my head. Blake placed me down delicately on the soft mattress and kissed my forehead, "Sweet dreams little one. I adore you." He then tucked me in, like a small child, like he did each night. "I adore you more Blakey." I murmured back. I felt the mattress dip and Blake warm and comforting arms wrap securely around me before I fell into a blissful sleep.
