《Finally Happy》Chapter 46

Ello! I really don't know how long this story is going to go. In my head, it's nearing the end and I do have an ending. Probably will be a few chapters more. Anyway, on with the story.
Waking up to the early rays of dawn, Kiba sighed as he ruffled his shaggy brown hair, the thoughts of yesterday still weighing heavily in his mind.
"Why do I feel so guilty now? I didn't before so why now?" Kiba asked himself as he got up and headed towards the shower.
'Maybe because what you are going to do might ruin his life.' His subconscious echoed in his voice. Kiba growled, shaking his head and tried to suppress his guilty conscious as he got continued to get ready for school.
Making his way to the kitchen, he grabbed a box a cereal and milk and made breakfast. He sat down, his mind still thinking about yesterday's conversation with Sakura. He felt soft fur rub against his ankle and the brunette looked down to see Akamaru looking back up at him, whining softly, sensing his owner's distress.
"Morning Akamaru!" Kiba said, smiling happily, giving the pup a head rub. "You had breakfast boy?" He asked. At that instant, Hana came in, holding a bowl of water.
"Yeah he did, squirt." She said setting the bowl and patted Kiba's head. She chuckled when the brunette scowled at her and moved away.
"What's up? Something seems to be bothering you?" Hana asked, her face morphed into a serious look, contrasting from the happy expression she had before. Looking at her brother's eyes, there was something bothering him. She just knew.
"Ehh!? How did you realise?! This is fucking sorcery!" Kiba exclaimed, completely baffled. The elder one sighed and smacked the back of his head.

"Don't curse you idiot. Anyway doesn't matter. Spill." She said firmly, her brown eyes dead set on Kiba's face. The boy looked down and sighed, bringing his hands to rub the sleepiness in his eyes.
"It's nothing much. I've been having some conflicting thoughts about something. That's all." Kiba skirted around the question, hoping Hana would be satisfied with it. Looking skeptically at him, she crossed her arms across her chest.
"That's all? Nothing else?" She asked. Kiba just nodded and grinned. Rolling her eyes, she lightly punched him on the shoulder.
"Fine. Get lost now. You'll be late for school." She said. Looking at the clock, Kiba cursed loudly, jumping out of his seat and running out the door.
At school
Walking through the hallways, he greeted and high-fived his friends, occasionally stopping to talk to them. Making his way towards his locker, he sighed tiredly, getting fed up of thinking about that damn blonde and the guilt eating his way in his mind. Leaning his head on the locker door, he breathed in.
'What's done is done. Maybe you can get Sakura's phone and delete the audio clip.' He thought. Feeling a bit better, he opened the locker door and grabbed his books to get to class. Walking in, his eyes landed on Naruto. Even though the boy was alone, he could see the small smile gracing his face and the sparkling blue eyes filled with happiness.
'Guess he's thinking about Sasuke.' Kiba thought. Blue eyes caught his and Kiba immediately turned away, cursing at himself for staring too long. He took quick strides towards his seat and flopped down. Realising Kakashi was running late as usual, he turned his head to talk with Shikamaru who was sitting next to him.

Talking to Shikamaru got his mind off his earlier thoughts but his eyes in that moment caught sight of the pinkette smiling gleefully, talking animatedly with Ino, her phone in her hands and he groaned mentally. Shikamaru looked confusedly at Kiba but didn't say anything.
Brown eyes were fixed on the pink iPhone that Sakura was clutching, his mind racking up ways to get it.
'Ugh... Fuck! I shouldn't have sent it in the first place.' Kiba screamed in his head.
The door opened and in walked Kakashi, fashionably late as ever.
"Good morning. Sorry I'm late. Anyway let's start with the lesson." The silver-haired man drawled, holding the novel in his hand. He turned his head to the blackboard and lesson began.
Lunch
"Hey!" A shrill voice pierced through the noisy cafeteria. Kiba looked up from his lunch to see Sakura and Ino walking towards his table.
"Ah hey." He said less enthusiastically. He grabbed his bottle and took a swig of water. Everyone else at the table greeted the two girls as they sat down. Shikamaru had his head laid down on the table, sleeping his way through the lunch period. Choji was munching his bag of chips. Shino was eating quietly, just observing the table while Lee was fawning over the pinkette. The group were talking animatedly about different topics. Kiba stayed quiet and he looked over to Sakura, wishing she would meet his eye so he could talk to her.
Sighing impatiently, he waited until her green eyes met his.
Sensing a stare, Sakura turned to see the brunette looking at her and she looked back with a questioning face. Kiba pointed to her phone and mouthed, 'I need to send a message to Hana.' Confused by Kiba's request, she unlocked the phone and handed it over, turning to Lee who was talking to her.
'Yes! Now to find that stupid clip.' He rejoiced in his head. He quickly went through the apps to find the clip. Going through the voice memo app, he saw almost a dozen memos with no names. Growling under his breath, he tried to find the one he wanted. Assuming it was the last one, he scrolled down quickly, his fingers dancing across the touch screen. As his finger began to hit the delete button,
Hearing the sound of the bell made Kiba jump and his finger hit the top button, making the phone screen black.
'FUCK! I ALMOST HAD IT!' He internally screamed.
"Hey Kiba? You done?" Sakura asked, gesturing to her phone. Smiling sheepishly, he nodded and gave it back.
"Yeah, thanks!" The brunette said. Sakura sent him a quick smile and turned to go after Ino. Seeing her figure retreat, Kiba sighed in frustration.
"Fuck..." He whispered, his mind hammering in guilt.
'She's going to do it. She is definitely going to do it tomorrow.' Exiting the cafeteria, he made his way to the library. Sitting at his usual seat, he laid his head on the table.
"I'm sorry Naruto." He whispered.
