《Finally Happy》Chapter 13

"I don't get why I have to share a room with you bastard." Naruto grumbled as he was standing in the raven's room. The room was simple yet elegant. The walls were painted a deep, rich blue. One of the walls had a huge window that opened to a average sized balcony. The bunk bed was at the side of the room, next to the window. It was fairly big. The ground was carpeted with a soft, plush white rug. To the opposite side of the window, was a large table with a huge bookcase that had all of Sasuke's school and reference books along side with a cupboard. In the middle of the room was a small, black, leather couch and in front was a flat-screen television. A white door at the wall where the bed was, opened to the washroom. In summary, the room was amazing.
'Well you wouldn't expect less from an Uchiha.' Naruto thought as he looked at Sasuke's room in amazement and nostalgia. He remember the times he used to come here, watch movies until dusk, eat popcorn and fall asleep on the rug to be woken up by Mikoto, telling them to sleep on the bed. As they were small and Naruto was afraid of heights when he was younger, they would sleep together on the same bed.
At that thought, Naruto blushed.
'God damn it Naruto! Stop thinking of that shit! This is the bastard we are thinking about.' Naruto argued in his mind.
"It's not like I'm happy with this decision too." Sasuke answered dully, knowing he was lying right then and there.
"Sad that I'll interrupt your emo brooding times?" Naruto answered back sarcastically.
"More like interrupting all the time." Sasuke smirked back. "Knowing you and the noise you make, make it disrupting the whole house."

"Screw you bastard!" Naruto shouted back, his blue eyes narrowed at Sasuke.
"Hn." Sasuke just grunted as he walked towards his cupboard. He opened it and took out one of his small, long sleeved shirts and some sweat pants and threw it at the blonde.
"Here. Change into these." Sasuke said. Naruto managed to catch the bundle of clothes. He stood there awkwardly as he held the clothes.
"Uhh... Thanks. Um, where is the washroom?" Naruto asked softly.
"That white door there." Sasuke pointed in that direction. Naruto looked and uttered a soft 'thanks' again and went inside. The raven walked over to his bed and laid down, his arms tucked under his head, looking at the bottom of the top bunk.
'It's hard. It's hard acting like this. It was so difficult at school and I don't even see him most of the time. With him by my side nearly 24/7, pretending I don't love him is tedious. I'll have to tell him one day... I promised' Sasuke thought.
'Maybe, just maybe... He could be mine and we could be happy. I could love him without caring about what others say because throughout all the shit we would have to go through, if I have him in the end and his love... Everything would be fine.' Sasuke sighed and rubbed his face.
"Hey, you okay?" Naruto asked, his voice indicating obvious concern.
Sasuke smiled inside, Naruto's concern for him bringing his hopes up little by little. Even through all the bullshit the blonde experienced, he still had the heart to care for people. People who had hurt him.
Sasuke sat up and looked at Naruto, going to say he was fine when he saw the blonde.

Naruto looked at Sasuke, his eyebrow raised and suddenly soft chuckling could be heard which then turned to full-blown laughter.
Sasuke was laughing. His shirt was so big on Naruto, that the sleeves past right down his fingertips and the hem of the shirt reaching his knees, the collar exposing one full shoulder. The sweatpants again were way too big, the end of the sweatpants bundling up at the floor.
"Hey! Stop laughing bastard! Not my fault that your larger than me!" Naruto puffed his cheeks and glared. Sasuke's laughing died down and he looked at the blonde and smirked.
'Adorable.' Sasuke thought.
"Guess I'll have to tell mom to buy you some new clothes." The raven said.
Naruto blushed and turned his head away. "It's fine. I'll manage."
"Anyway, go get some rest. I'll wake you up when it's time for dinner. Mom is making ramen." Sasuke said, knowing what Naruto;s reply would be.
"RAMEN! YAY! I love your mom Sasuke!" Naruto exclaimed happily. Sasuke just shook his head in amusement. Naruto walked over to the bunk beds and climbed up the ladder. He settled on the mattress and snuggled himself under the blankets and went to sleep. Before he went to slumber, Sasuke heard a soft murmur.
"Thank you for saving me..."
Sasuke smiled sadly and whispered,
"You deserve to be happy dobe. I promise to make you happy."
A soft knock on the door was heard from the door.
"Sasuke? Naruto?" Mikoto's voice muffled through the door.
"Naruto's sleeping, mom." Sasuke quietly whispered so Naruto wouldn't wake up. The door noiselessly opened and Mikoto walked in. She saw the slumbering blonde and smiled.
"At least from now, Naruto would be happy." She looked at Sasuke and gave him a sad smile. She handed him two different medicine bottles.
"Make sure to give him one pill of each when he wakes up." Mikoto said and walked out of the room. Sasuke placed the medicine on his bedside table and went to his desk to finish up some homework.
'Yeah, he would be happy. I'll make sure he would never go through such pain again.'

Witness the dawn of an era. 🧙🧙🧙 This is a story I'd written a few years back, and I figured it's a waste to just let it sit around. Most of it is already written, but I'm going through the chapters and editing the shit out of them. This story is NOT a Lit-RPG, so no blue screens or anything of the sort. It is just fast-paced fiction with slight cultivation elements. Updates are bi-daily (so every 2 days), and chapters are 1500-3000 words. As always, feedback is more than welcome. Why are you still reading the synopsis? You have already decided. Go ahead, give this story a shot. It's worth it.

So, don't go tattle on me. Notice: I made that cover. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Other tag: Romance. Drama
