When you woke up the next morning, having no idea how you ended up in your own bed and Harrison laying in a safe distance beside you, you were filled with anger, pain and hurt but at that point, you didn't know why or from where those feelings came from. Pain shot through your head- hangover- failing to remember most of the things that happened last night at Leo's party. Getting out of bed, making sure not to wake Harrison up, you tiptoed to your drawers, desperate to find pain killers.

"(Y/N)?", you flinched as you heard Harrison's voice turning around with a hand placed on your chest "sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Hope you didn't mind me staying the night", he chuckled, sliding out of bed to walk over to you.

"Oh shut up, not like its you first time sleeping over", you wave him off and continue to look through your drawers, mumbling a little 'aha' when you found the sheet of painkillers.

"Do you remember anything from last night?", he asked, making you shoot him a confused expression while you grabbed your water bottle and gulped down the pill.

"What do you mean?", you asked while Harrison let out a defeated sigh. He had hoped you'd remember your kiss with Tom but seeing your confused state, you definitely didn't remember anything, so he left the topic, deciding it was best if you recalled on your own.

"Nothing, just wondering if anything weird happened at Leo's party", he laughed "you know how his parties are. Something 'incredible' always happens", he mocked making you burst out laughing.

"Yeah, the last time I went, I head someone lost their virginity", you remind him and he gave you the look of realisation.

"Shit always goes down at his place, like Joe and Ralph literally had a cat fight like middle school girls", Harrison chuckled before wrapping an arm around your shoulder and guiding you out of your room.

"I'm making breakfast. Can't let you burn down the kitchen like you did before", you taunt and he lets out a fake gasp.

"That was Tom, not me!", he whined like a school kid and you laughed, nodding your head in the process.

"Speaking of Tom", you look up at Harrison "where is he?"

"Oh he left with a girl- shit", Harrison immediately covered his mouth when he let his sentence slip out his lips, watching as your eyebrows furrowed in confusion and mouth gaping open in disbelief.

"What?!", and like on cue, when you finally comprehended what Harrison said, Tom unlocked your front door and the first thing he saw was you looking angry and Harrison looking scared with regret laced in his expression.

"What's wrong?", Tom closed the door behind him as he took a few steps forward, stuffing his phone back in his pocket and running a hand through his already messy hair.

"Nothing-"

"Harrison shut up. Tom outside. Now", you cut Harrison off, looking Tom dead in the eyes and pointing to the front door. Harrison himself turned terrified when you called him by his full name. It was usually only 'Haz' or 'Hazza' but when you used his full name, it meant that you were furious.

Confused, Tom listened and stepped out the door, you standing in front of him, arms crossed and foot tapping on the concrete floor.

"What did I do wrong?", Tom groaned, hoping to get a laugh or two out of you but when you stayed mad, he realised he fucked up.

"You know what you did wrong", you deadpanned, him running a hand down his face.

"I- it was in the moment- I couldn't stop it-"

"No Tom shut up and listen", you yelled, voice stern and clear "what the hell happened to you? You never do shit like this and do you know what will happen if the public finds out you hooked up with a random chick you picked up in a party? What the hell happened? I know you're going through a lot of stress but this isn't what you turn to. There's a reason why Harrison and I are here and you need to talk to one of us!", you ranted out while Tom stood in front of you with regret and for some reason, you saw a broken heart.

"I got- we got carried away", he whispered, realising his mistake but at that moment, he desperately needed a distraction- from you.

"You were never like this Tom", you shook your head, a pang of jealousy hit your chest and fore some reason, you felt your heart break.

"I needed a distraction", he continued to add and you shook your head.

"Harrison and I are here for you to talk to. Your brothers. Your parents. Heck- my parents are here for you. Why?", you ended you sentence in rather of a whisper, not knowing why you lost your voice and not knowing why tears started pooling in your eyes.

"Do you not remember what happened last night?", he asked, voice barely audible and you rolled your eyes again.

"Why is everyone asking that?", you groan "what the hell happened last night?!"

"We played spin the bottle and..."

And that sentence was enough for memories to come rushing back to you. Brief, unclear memories of you leaning in to kiss Tom and climbing onto his lap. Brief hits of emotions started filling your heart and you realised your drunken mistake. A fuzzy feeling of Tom's hands on your waist lingered in your head and a brief moment of butterflies hit your stomach. Foggy memories of Tom walking away from the circle filled your head and you remembered getting up to get a drink but found Tom kissing a girl you didn't recognise. You barely remembered walking away with a pained and angered expression but you still remembered.

You regretted it.

You regretted remembering all those memories from last night and you regret feeling those emotions. You regretted kissing Tom and you regretted letting your walls down.

You felt it.

You felt so many feelings all at once and you hated it. You felt your stomach churn from the burst of emotion and you regretted everything.

You felt pain, heartbreak, betrayal, content, happiness and most of all...

Love.

You were feeling a kind of love you never felt before. The kind of love you never thought you were able to feel for Tom and it scared you. Your emotions scared you because it was a completely new experience and you didn't know how to handle them.

You had fallen for your best friend- didn't know how, didn't know when- but you did and you didn't know if he felt the same.

If you had stayed for a little while longer, maybe you could have sorted everything out and you would have realised why Tom did what he did but you didn't. Your thoughts ran in circles around your head and they were screaming to each other, not being able to concentrate on one thing.

"Fuck", you cursed "shit, shit, shit, shit, shit", you started pacing back and forth, hand gripping your head and kept glancing at Tom who looked concerned and confused. "What did I do?"

"What? You didn't do anything-"

"I'm so sorry", you cut him off with not only a broken whisper but by also running past him in your boots, wind blowing through your hair and hitting your eyes making it easier for tears to cascade down your eyes and you let them. Hot, angry tears streamed down your cheeks as you made your way to the nearest bus stop to hitch a ride to the nearby forest area to let yourself stay in some peace and quiet.

"(Y/N)! Please don't go! I'm sorry", you heard Tom yelling from behind you and you were certain he was running after you. Like a miracle, you managed to quicken your pace and a surge of adrenaline shot through you as you caught up to the bus and climbed onto it, watching Tom as it drove away to a distance until he was out of sight.

Tom knew exactly where you were going but he stopped himself from following you. In defeat, he slumped back to your house where Harrison was waiting and prepared to tell your parents where and why you were where you were. His heart ached for your to come back and tell him that you loved him but that wouldn't happen because he knew you and he knew that you would never admit your feelings to anyone and he wasn't even sure if you loved him or not. He wanted to tell you that he loved you but it scared him that he'd drive you away.

He had no idea what to do.

"Where's (Y/N)?", Harrison looked up when he heard the front door open again, revealing a weak and tired Tom and you were nowhere to be seen. Harrison understood from his silence that you must have gone to the forest area and ushered him to come sit beside him so that they could talk. "What happened?"

"I fell in love ,Haz", Tom whispered, voice cracking as he finished his sentence and eyes pooled with broken tears. "I fell in love with her and I don't think she feels the same", he buried his head in his hands, allowing a few sobs to escape his lips and let his best friend console him. Harrison would have thrown a party and would have started firecrackers if Tom weren't crying and he sure as hell would have started a lecture about how you should have realised your feelings earlier but now was clearly not the time.

"Why do you say that?"

"She ran away", he cried "she ran away when I reminded her about last night. She got scared"

"Maybe she needs time to think", Harrison assured his best friend who was having a hard time control his feelings.

"We should tell her parents where she is. We are in her house", Harrison nodded at Tom and didn't say anything else and watched him disappear as he walked upstairs.
