《Foolish (TomHolland x Reader)》5| Paroxysm

There wasn't a time in your life when you wished you had never known Tom. There wasn't a time in your life where you remembered fighting with Tom and even if the two of you did fight, you'd forget about it in seconds. Soulmates, as everyone would call the both of you, but you failed to see it. You knew you and Tom were literally the same people and get along so well and yes, you had to admit, there was chemistry involved but then again, him and Zendaya had excellent chemistry as well. You failed to see it when you were sober but for some reason, Tom realised it while he was drunk.

The music blasted in Leo's house. A house you hadn't been to for almost five years and you were glad to be back- being sober only a few hours ago. Known people and strangers danced in the living room, bottles of beer or alcohol gripped in their hands and a few couples were even showing PDA that definitely crossed more than one line. You were pretty sure a few people were smoking in the back of the house and you weren't planning on joining them.

You had soon lost Tom and Harrison in the sweaty drunk bodies on the dance floor and you settled with chilling on the couch. Old classmates from high school recognised you- surprisingly- and would come and greet you. Hoping that Olivia would join the party as well, your hopes were shattered when she texted you saying that she was busy so you let the thought die. You were an introvert, you'd admit that, yet you were happy with how everything turned out in the end. After all, you thought having Tom was enough in your life- and Harrison of coarse.

With the cliché kind of red cups filled with vodka in one hand and your phone with Instagram open with the other, you let yourself have the leisure of filming a few videos to post on your story, making sure Tom and Harrison were no where to be seen. You knew full well that you'd get hate for posting a video from a full blown party involving potential drugs but you were willing to take the chance. All the opinions that mattered to you in the first place were your family's and friends'.

When someone switched to a more hyped song, cheers and hollers went around the room and you joined in as well, letting yourself stuff your phone in your pocket and dance around in your black heeled boots, hair messing up completely. Soon, another friend of yours, Ginger, spotted you in the crowd and you gladly danced around with her, swaying your hips and holding your red cup in the air- almost like how everyone else was dancing.

"I'm gonna get another drink!", you shouted over the music so that Ginger heard you and she nodded, continuing to get lost in the rhythm of the music.

A few steps were taken and you were freed from getting squished between the drunk partiers and took cautious steps towards where the drinks were, helping yourselves with more vodka and took a sip. You stood there with your hand crossed and the cup to your lips for a while, looking around the room that had flashing lights, hoping to find Tom or Harrison and to your surprise, Tom was the one who spotted you.

"Oi, (Y/N)! Come with me to the back yard! We're playing spin the bottle!", you were able to make out his slurred words over the blasting music. A smirk grazed your lips as you let Tom grab you by the forearm and drag you to Leo's backyard.

"How many people did you kiss?", you joked, giggling in the process.

"Like two or a b c..?", he said and that was when you knew he was drunk off his ass and would get a hang over too painful to bare the next morning and it would be an understatement to say that it would be the same case for you.

"(Y/N)!", you heard a group of people greet who were sitting on the grass in a circle with an empty bottle of beer in the middle. All of them you recognised and a small pang of relief hit you when you saw Harrison as well. Tom pulled you along as he sat down, you sitting between him and Harrison who greeted you with a bump on the shoulder. It was certain that everyone in the circle were drunk and wouldn't forget any of this happening the next morning when they were sober.

"You're not drunk enough!", you heard Leo whine and who reached beside him to grab a shot glass and passed it to you, which you gladly took and chugged it, scrunching up your face in the process. "That's my girl", Leo slurred and Tom unknowingly eyed him but no one noticed- no one expect Harrison.

You had a few more shots before starting the game, your memory getting fuzzy and senses getting mixed up. The bottle landed on people who used to be shipped in university and high school and everyone else ended up cheering and hollering at the pair that ended up shoving their tongues down each others' throats. You were positive that at least a half an hour passed with watching people making out and you yourself made out with Alex- someone you rarely talked to.

"C'mon Tom, spin the damn bottle", a girl coaxed and you were positive the voice belonged to someone familiar. Although the name wasn't hitting you, were certain that she wanted to kiss Tom.

As ordered, Tom spun the bottle with a little too much strength and everyone watched it with their eyes open and mouth agape, waiting for who the bottle would land on for the movie star to kiss for the night. The tension started rising as the bottle slowed down and soon it stopped and not so surprisingly for many players, it landed on you.

At that moment, neither of you or Tom hesitated to turn to each other with drunk and slurry grins and started leaning in. Yes, it was the first time you kissed each other but neither of you realised it or cared. As Tom's hand cupped your cheek, you let yourself lean into his touch and lean closer to his lips. At that moment, Tom didn't think it was anything serious until it was already too late and your lips touched.

His feelings hit him like a truck with a ton of bricks- enough to sober him up. The feeling of butterflies in his stomach and his heart and body aching to be closer to the girl he called his best friend. It felt so right to him and his feelings started surfacing and it felt like heaven but he felt so guilty and all his senses blocked the whistles, hollers and cheers from everyone else and focused on you and he wanted to stay beside you forever. As more than friends.

He felt love and content ooze out of his heart and he got terrified but that feeling was overshadowed by the euphoria he felt when he kissed your lips open and let his fingers run through hair. He let his eyes shut tighter as hurt washed over him- hurt because he thought you might not feel the same love he felt towards you.

He never pulled away because he wanted that moment to last forever. He wanted to stay close to you in that intimate way. He was scared he couldn't get enough of your lips and the feeling he got when your lips touched his. He couldn't get enough of the way you giggled mid kiss and ran your fingers through his hair and climbed onto his lap for a more comfortable position. He couldn't get enough of holding onto your waist and tilting his head up to kiss you harder. He couldn't get enough of you.

Harrison sat beside his two best friends who were currently drunk and in a heated make out session and he didn't know if he should feel proud or accomplished or both. He hoped that a little push would help the two of you realise your feelings but if he had known it would drive Tom away, he would have never made Tom look for you to play the game in the first place.

When Leo and Alex stopped you and Tom from continuing the kiss, the both of you sat back in your position, Tom still didn't get enough of you and that was when he realised that he never could get enough of you. You were still giggling while Tom had a hardened yet pained expression plastered on his face and you didn't realise when he hastily excused himself to get another drink. He couldn't blame you though- you were more than drunk.

The girl that previously sounded desperate to kiss Tom stood up and followed him and Harrison made sure to keep an eye on her but soon got caught up in the game again and was downing shot after shot, completely forgetting where his best friend went. If he only knew that Tom was planning on hooking up with that desperate chick, he would have ran up to him and pulled him back to sit beside you again- but that was the thing; Harrison didn't know.
