I was walking down the hallway when Symone bumped into me. I looked and there was some girls standing in front of her with smurks on their faces.
"My bad." Symone said looking up at me then at the girls.
"Keep yo funky ass hands off me!" Symone yelled.
"Omar's REAL girlfriend said hi." One of them said to Symone.
"Who would that be?" She asked.
"Me duh." One of the other girls said.
"Name?" Symone asked.
"You should already know." The girl replied back.
"You're Omar 'real' girl but I've never heard of you before." Symone said.
"Kayla." The girl said. "My name is Kayla."
"And just wait. Omar and I have been off and on but at the end of the day he always be back." Kayla said.
"That's crazy cuz I swear he was just telling me how badly you treated him and how he hates yo ass." Symone said.
"Look I'm just warning you. You should just leave him alone." Kayla said.
"And if I don't?" Symone said.
"He knows where home is. He'll be back with me in no time so it really doesn't matter whether you do or don't." Kayla said.
"Then I won't stop fuckin with him. Let's see where he'll be then." Symone said.
"Do what you want. You just better watch your back bitch!" Kayla said.
"For what hoe?" Symone said.
"Me slut." Kayla said before walkin off.
"Strike one." She said low enough for only me to hear. Symone crossed her arms with a frown on her face. Then turned to me.
"My bad..." She said to me.
"You good."
"They been getting on my damn nerves all fuckin week. This the first time da bitch showed her face tho." She said.

"I knowww but ion wanna get in no trouble."
"Did you at least tell Omar?"
"Not yet..." She said. I shook my head.
"So you just gon let them bully you?"
"They not bullying nobody. Ian worried." She said.
"You should've at least pushed ha back."
"I told you I'm not trynna get in no trouble." Symone said.
"A little trouble ain't nun to worry about."
"I already have enough suspensions for fighting on my record ion want nomo." Symone said.
"Suspensions? You? Yeah ight."
"I'm for real.. Cuz people think they can do whatever just cause I be quiet and that's not een the case. My brotha said I gotta stop getting suspended so much tho.." She said.
"You just don't look like you the type to fight."
"But I am." Symone said.
"Ain't no way yo little ass a fighter." I said laughing at how serious she looked.
"That don't mean I'm weak." Symone said with a straight face.
"Would you like to see for yourself?" She asked.
"Yo ass ain't beating me." I said laughing some more.
"On what?" She said starting to crack a lil smile.
"Boa on my first love you ain't beating me." I said laughing some more.
"Yo first love cursing yo ass out right now for lyin on ha." Symone said.
"Aye you one funny mufucca."
"Who was jokin?" She said chuckling.
"I'm telling you I can most definitely fight." She said.
Just then Daeja walked up with an angry expression on her face.
"Hey Daeja.." Symone tried to say but Daeja just walked right past us. Daeja and I on break right now so we haven't spoken to each other in a lil bit.

"What's wrong with ha?" Symone asked. I shrugged my shoulders. The warning bell rung.
"Aw we gotta go befo we late."
Symone and I ran to class. Neither Daeja nor Omar showed up. That's probably why she wasn't with him earlier. They're usually always together. I wonder why Daeja ain't show up though. We just saw her in the hallway.
"Aye nigga hurry yo ass up bruh."
Some nigga was takin a long ass time in the front of the line. This nigga over here counting all them dimes.
I just wanted to grab some snacks and go.
Just then Symone walked into the store. Our eyes met, and she gave me an awkward smile and waved. I waved back. Then, she went to go get whatever she was gon get. By the time dude in front of me was almost done, Symone was already behind me in line.
"You live close by here?" I asked Symone.
She shook her head yes. "So you walked?"
"Yeah.." She answered.
"I'll drive you back." No point in letting her walk alone at night when I can just drop her off.
"No. It's okay. My house just down the street." She said.
"You sure?" I asked ha. I moved up in the line and payed for my stuff.
"Yup. It's fine." She said.
"If you say so.." I said before grabbing my stuff and heading out to my car. I sat in my car for a lil bit because I had a bad feeling about just leaving her to walk back by herself, so when she came out the store a followed a lil far behind ha. After like 5 minutes, I noticed some grown man following her. I rolled down the window a little bit, so I could hear him.
"Aye check it out!" He said.
Symone gave him the side eye and kept it pushing.
"Aye beautiful! I'm talking to you!" He said. He started walking faster and so did she.
"Say bitch! You hear a nigga trynna speak to yo ass!" He yelled. I hopped out the car, and he grabbed her by her arm.
"Let me the fuck go!" She yelled.
I grabbed the arm where he was holding her. She looked surprised.
"Aye nigga stay outta dis!" He said.
"This all me right hea!" He said.
"Naw nigga this all me." I said flashing my gun. He looked at it then looked back at me.
"This yo girl?" He asked.
I nodded my head. He leg go and put his arms up in surrender.
"My bad nigga. No need for allat." He said backing up and walking off.
"I would've been fine-." I cut ha off.
"Just get in the car girl. Ion een wanna hear it."
She closed her mouth and headed towards the car. I opened the door for her, and she got in. Then, I go closed it and got in the car myself.
"I live across da street from Rell and India.." She said.
"Ight." The car was awkwardly silent so, I ended up turning on some music.

RED
Valley City. Up until around twenty years ago, it had been a nowhere place. Just a bunch of towns with no real reputation. Now, though, it's known for its progression in medical science. The Medical Technologies Company. It seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere in the middle of what's now called City Center. Once just a manufacturer and developer of medical equipment, it eventually started to dabble in medical research. Before anyone even knew it, they were the leading research entities, with five seperate buildings in Valley City alone, all towering above everything else in the area. Some say they even swayed the local government into combining the old towns into one city and popularized prosthetic limbs as fashion themselves, but that's just gossip. Matthew Vega. A 25-year-old college dropout, tricked by MediTech into being experimented on under the pretense of participating in a clinical trial for rent money. After being broken out of their facility nearly a year after having her limbs replaced, then having her liberator captured, she seeks a way to dismantle the company or save the one she cares about. NOTE: Currently I am working on a rewrite. I will post a new chapter once that is ready, listed as V2CH-001. I hope you look forward to it.
