"And you're sure this the last time we got to move?" I asked Mere.
"Yes. At least for a couple years." Mere said.
"Good. Cuz I'm tired of being the new girl every few months." I told him.
"Ion even got no friends." I said frowning.
"I know. I'm sorry. It was just to keep you safe, Mon Mon." Mere said.
"I know..."
"Let's start unpacking. Then, I'll take you to get yo favorite." Mere said.
"Chipotle?" I asked getting excited.
"Yup." Mere said.
"Eee! Okay. Let's start unpacking."
I was walking back from this corner store I saw earlier and almost to my house when someone called out.
"S'cuse me!" Someone yelled from across the street. I looked up to see a short, pretty, lightskin girl standing next to a lightskin, medium height dude with braids in his head.
She hit him.
"Shut up! She don't wanna talk to yo ugly ass." The girl said.
"Says who? Right." The dude said. He turned his focus to me.
"I see you just moved in." He said. I nodded my head. He came over to me and the girl followed.
"Aw you don't talk?" He asked.
"I do..." I answered back.
"Whatchu so quiet fo?" He asked.
"Boi, she don't know you. Obviously, she gon be quiet when some stranger start talking to ha." The girl said.
"You ain't even introduce yoself dummy." She said.
"Hey, my name India, and his name Tyrell." She told me.
"But you can call me Ty." Tyrell said.
"I'm Symone." I told them.
"You're pretty. We should be friends." India said.
"Um, okay. Thanks."
"How old you is?" Tyrell asked.
"17."

"Bettt. We got there too!" India said.
"Y'all twins?" I asked them.
"Yup. Five hours apart." India said.
"But we should exchanging numbers, and we can show around." India said.
"Okay." We exchanged numbers.
"When you start school?" Tyrell asked.
"I'm supposed to be going Tuesday."
"We can all go together if you want. India, and I usually go by car, so you can ride with us." Tyrell said.
"I- I don't want to bother y'all."
"Girl you not bothering us. We invited you." India said.
"Plus, I need a bsf. My last one backstabbed the fuck outta me." India said.
"I'll tell you about it later." She said. I nodded.
My brother pulled up and rolled down the window.

"Okay. I won't. You be safe too."
He rolled up the window and drove off.

"Nah he look like he shoot people." Tyrell said.

"Oh. Okay. You sure you don't want to come over ours? We don't want you to be bored being alone." India said.
"No. I'm okay. Plus, I can't even if I wanted to."
"Why? You got a rule in yo house that say you can't come over people house?" Tyrell asked.
"Um, yeah. Something like that."
"That's bogus. Yo parents really strict?" Tyrell asked.
"Actually, it's my brother's rule."
"You let yo brother tell you what to do? What yo parents got to say about it?" Tyrell asked.
"Um, I wouldn't know because they died."
"Oh damn." Tyrell said. India hit him in his chest.
"You can't just be asking people personal information. I'm so sorry for your loss." India said.
"Me too..."
"Well, I'll see y'all...I guess." I said turning towards the door.
"See you!" India said.
"See you! And my bad, shawty." Tyrell said.
"You good." I said before going into the house and closing the door.
I sighed.
I thought to myself.
I go in my room and sit my bag of snacks on my bed. I turn on the tv and find something to watch. Then, I plop on my bed.
I sigh.

How to Save a Star [BxB]
“Do you know that stars die?” I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came to mind. “Yeah,” he answered. “And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead. But they're so far away that their afterglow can still be seen above. Some of them may seem glowing but they’re truly dead.” We all have a little gallery of photographic memories inside our hearts. An exhibit of things we could never forget through our short moments in time. Some were so good, we held it like they were the best part of our lives while some were things we desperately ran away from - they hunted us, and killed our hopes. The beginning of my life ended on my tenth birthday, the day when my childhood was stolen away from me. I longed to run away from that nightmare that held me tightly in my neck and made me helpless under its grasp. Going to college had become my final chance to run away. On my seventeenth birthday, after enrolling at a university, my life took another shift. I met a man who showed me the glimmer of hope I always wanted to see. And this was our story. A narration of first love, bittersweet and worthwhile. DISCLAIMER: This novella primarily contains gay romance. Read at your own risk.
