《The Princess' Messenger》Part 9

You were folding your arms and demanding an explanation from him. While Mina's family just stood not knowing what to do. Mina didn't dare to raise her head. "Are you finally awake?" you asked him. "Princess, that's ', he scratched his neck. "Tell me, why are you staying here?" you asked him, calmly.
"Thanks to someone who didn't offer to take me to the other side on time. Also, they said there could be a storm so I had to stay", he said, eyeing Mina. Mina's parents offered you to visit their home as respect.
"It's okay, Mr Choi. You can carry on with your work", you said. You came with some guards as well. "How did you know?" Jungkook asked. "I heard that someone is preventing you from doing the mission I gave. So I came to catch the person myself", you said.
Mina raised her head and looked at Jungkook. "Princess, she is not a normal person", he whispered. "Who said that it's her? Ask her who is her real boss", you smirked. "Huh?!" he shifted his gaze towards her. She was so quiet.
For a moment he thought that she was some other girl. "Is it Prince?" Jungkook asked. "Might be", you said. Jungkook remembered her getting flustered by mentioning Taehyung's name. "Y/n?! How did you- I mean, why are you here?" Jimin's voice echoed.
"Here comes the boss", you smirked. "Jimin Hyung?!" Jungkook looked at her in disbelief. Taehyung didn't want anyone to disturb so they were helping. "Just this once, I want to be a step ahead of you", you fake smiled.
"I heard that you and Yuri are visiting temples but you tricked me", he said. "You better stay out of it this time. You may be his best friend but I want something that would be best for everyone", you said.
"Y/n, he is somewhere in the middle woods. Nobody knows except for the soldiers there", he said. "What will make him come?" you asked. "Only he has to change his mind", Jimin sighed. "If I land there, will he come?" you asked. "Or someone else who is dearest to him?" you looked, Mina.
She trembled a bit. Jungkook was amazed by her. The tigress was whimpering like a cat in front of you. "Y/n, I will go with Jungkook", Jimin stood Infront of you blocking Mina from your vision. "You are defending her. Well, this just proved how much she means to you", you said.

"Jimin, I don't care about anything for now. I want to protect my two brothers. I will choose them over anything. Already, allowing one person was more than enough", you mumbled the last part. Mina knew well that your words were directed to her.
But it was Chang Mi. "Y/n, it's up to Taehyung. You know that he will do whatever he wishes", Jimin said, trying to calm you down. "Whatever", you mumbled. "This time I will make sure that Taehyung will return home", he promised.
"I am not trusting you anyway. Jungkook, try your best. Even if you don't bring him with you, at least give my message to him", you said. "Yah! I am your best friend", Jimin pouted. Jungkook just nodded and bowed at you.
"Fake best friend", you pointed at him. "You are my favourite person, y/n", Jimin giggled. "Go and tell someone who would fall for your tricks", you chuckled. Jungkook just laughed looking at your bickerings.
"I still wonder how Jimin is still not hanged by the royals for his behaviour", Mina said to Jungkook. "They are best friends. He can be like that to her", he said. "Is she your intelligent and beautiful Princess?" Mina asked.
Jungkook just looked at you still walking towards the sea bickering with him. He didn't reply. He just smiled looking at you. "She is", Jungkook said. "Don't trust them. Don't fall for them. They are using us. We are so naive to believe them", she said.
Her eyes held a sad story. "Did Prince Taehyung promise you something?" Jungkook asked. "He did. He promised that he won't leave me at any cost. Then, I never actually saw him. Without a notice he disappeared into the forest for his mission", she said.
"Stop following me around Jimin", you laughed at one point. "Tell me that you trust me more than you trust Jungkook", he said. You stopped in your tracks. Jungkook was curious to hear your answer. You just walked towards them while avoiding Jimin. "Tell me", he whined.
"I trust Jungkook more. Okay?" you said. "Yah! What did you do to her?" he sighed dramatically. "I earned her trust", he placed his hand on his chest. You noticed that he was wearing the ring. "You are wearing that ring", you said.
"Ah! Yes Princess", he said. It felt special as he was wearing your special ring. "Yeah! Acting as if you are the most responsible person. He almost lost the ring", Mina said, looking somewhere. "What?! You lost it?!" you looked at him in disbelief.

"Your most trusted person is not so responsible", Jimin chuckled. "Princess, I didn't do it on purpose. I had it with my belongings. I wonder how it went to someone's hand", he gazed at Mina. She just scoffed. Jungkook was jumping in joy inside.
He was so happy when you said that you trust him more. He forgot the warning he got from Mina. "Wait a minute. Where is Yuri? Both of you left the palace together", Jimin said. "Yeah! Where is she?" Jungkook also asked. "I sent her to her parents' house. I let her stay there till I return", you said.
"Thankfully", Jimin said. "Do you think that it's a good idea to bring her here?" you asked him. "She might even swim to the other end just to meet him", Jungkook said. In a very short time, he saw how Yuri was in love with him.
"I don't want to raise her hopes and let her get hurt. That's why I sent her away", you said. Mina bit her lips. She knew about Yuri. She was close with Taehyung so much that she even knew these stories. Jungkook stayed by your side all day. It was noon.
"I think we can pass now. So that you could reach before evening", Mina said to Jungkook. "Jimin, are you not going with them?" you asked. "I am not going now. I still have some work to do. I might join a day or two later", he said.
"Fine. Then, there is no time to waste. I am even planning to move back", you said. "Y/n, by now wouldn't they have found your plan about sending Jungkook to Taehyung? What are you going to do?" Jimin asked. "Thanks to who?" you questioned.
"Fine", he blinked cutely. "I will stick to my plan. I also can cook stories", you said. "That's right", Jimin said. "Fine, I won't be here to see you off Jungkook. I have to go now. Yuri takes care of him. If he struggles to find where Taehyung is, then help him please", he said.
She agreed. "I am quite scared about travelling alone with her Princess ", Jungkook said. She just scoffed. "Why?" you asked. "She is already threatening me about pushing me in the middle of the ocean", he said.
Jimin cracked up. "Will she live after pushing you off?" you asked. "What's the use of being gone? This madwoman isn't scared of death", Jungkook teased. She just rolled her eyes.
"Jungkook, she will be alive but also dead if something happens to you. How about taking a right leg and left arm and keeping her alive?" you raised your eyebrows. "Yah! That's a bit-", Jimin nervously laughed. Your facial expression said that you were not joking.
"Princess, I was just kidding", Jungkook also said. She didn't flinch much. "It's her responsibility to take you there and bring you back safely", you said. "Y/n, don't show your anger on her. It's not like she is the only one at fault", Jimin defended her.
"Stop defending and get back to your work. You said that you had to go", you said, annoyed. "Fine. You also have a safe journey", he mumbled. You felt bad to lash out at him but they kept siding her and you felt left out.
"What are you waiting for? The boat is ready. Take your belongings and start your journey. I thought of seeing you off but I will get going", you said. "Princess", he called. You looked at him, waiting for him to speak. Nothing came out of his mouth. "Stay safe", he said.
"You too", you mumbled. "Won't you see me off?" he asked. "No", you said. "Why? Why are you angry at me?" he asked. Mina silently observed you both. "Should I tell everything? You didn't do anything, Jungkook. It's me. I am just childish over things, okay. Now I will go", you said.
"You are not childish", he mumbled. You just threw a glance at both of them. "I am trusting you in this. Make sure to bring him back safely if things go as planned, bring both of them safely", you said to her. She bowed at you. She didn't expect this from you.
She thought that you would threaten her. This is the side Jungkook liked about you. You were soft inside even though you acted tough. "I will see you off", he walked you to the palanquin. Once you got in, you opened the small opening to look at him.
"Take care, Princess", he said. He didn't notice your hand on the opening. He mindlessly kept his hand on yours. He immediately pulled away but you got his hand. "Stay by the side and support me, no matter what", you said. "I will'', he said, with a lot of love in his eyes.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic.
