《How To: Survive Teenagehood》27/ Is That An Afterparty I Hear?

Parties. My area of knowledges. Pffftt just playing. I am currently almost sixteen (very soon humans, put the 30th of June in your calendar as the date ya girl becomes sixteen), and have been to a whopping four parties in my lifetime. Amazing I know. What a social butterfly I am.

Parties can be fun. But remember to have some common sense in you. Don't get blasted drunk if it's your first time drinking, don't drink something if someone has obviously put something into it, don't drink a drink if haven't seen it opened, don't do crack or cocaine, I mean the list goes on. Use your brain, and if the situation seems in any way dangerous be careful. I sound exactly like my mother, wow.

Parties are for fun though, so loosen up and talk to people! I'm such a hypocrite because at my first party I literally sat on the sofa and was not sociable. It may seem daunting, but hang out with your friends and talk to people with them so you don't feel so alone and nervous. Make the most of them, and let go for a bit. Enjoy yourself!

So rule twenty seven of surviving Teenagehood: as Ke$ha once said so eloquently, the party don't start till I walk in.
