In short, they all looked ridiculous.

Rose was wearing her Hufflepuff scarf around her neck; beads in her blonde locks and her initials on her sweater as she huddled to Aaron's side, a small breath leaving her lips when she saw Aiden fumble with his Gryffindor scarf around his neck again.

"For God's sake, stop messing with it," Rose told him, a frown on her lips. "You'll ruin it."

Aiden scowled, his fingers loosening the scarf around his neck. "I feel it's suffocating me,"

And Rose could've sworn she heard Andrew mumble a small Lord please do it, and when she looked over to him, he was grinning; his brown eyes glimmering in the street lights as his Hufflepuff sweater was draped across his torso.

"Stop moving then," Lana was getting agitated too, her hazel eyes glossed with irritation as she fumbled with her boyfriend's scarf for the ninth time, her own Slytherin scarf swaying in the wind.

"It's fucking drizzling," Luke said, his shoulder length brown hair getting tangled up in his own Hufflepuff scarf as the wind swirled around them. "And why the hell am I here again?"

"Because the eighth Harry Potter book comes out," Chase said, frowning as his Gryffindor scarf started getting moist. "Rose has been talking about it non-stop for three months Luke, Jesus."

And Aura – behind her greasy cheeseburger – nodded her head; the diadem of Ravenclaw glimmering against her ebony hair.

"But why are we standing in the middle of a fucking drizzle when we could be inside there?" Luke asked, gesturing towards the library.

"Luke, there is a fucking line right in front of us," Aiden said, rolling his eyes at his friend, "we are not the only ones."

Tristan nodded. "Harry Potter is one of the most dedicated and intense fandoms I have ever stumbled upon," he said, his Ravenclaw scarf still intact and neat against his neck.

"Now what the hell is a fandom?" Aiden asked, wrapping an arm around Lana's shoulder – huddling her further into his side.

Aaron rolled his eyes. "You don't even know what a fandom is? Aiden this is fucking ABC's," Rose actually let him lean down so that she could touch up his lightning scar with her black eyeliner – to which Aaron of course gave her a goofy smile too, and a small kiss on her temple.

"Well unlike you, I actually have a social life and get out," Aiden said defensively, "and do my homework five minutes before class."

"Which is why your Professor's complain about you half the time," Andrew stated, a grin on his lips.

"A fandom is a fan of a particular team, person, fictional series and regarded as a community or subculture," Aura explained, her cheeks flushed at the wind nipping at her porcelain skin. "And I think it is pretty self explanatory you idiotic moron."

"Like I said," Aiden shrugged, "I have a social life."

And Rose did manage to dress everyone up for this very occasion; sitting all of them down one by one as she sorted them into their own Harry Potter houses on Pottermore.com and it was irksome – especially with Aiden, who didn't want to give her a proper answer for the first ten minutes – but judging from the way they all looked now, Rose thought that it was all worth it at the end.

"If you preorder this on Amazon, you get it on your doorstep," Luke grumbled, wiping his eyes with the back of his palm, "so you wouldn't necessarily need to go out in a fucking drizzle."

"But where is the fun in that?" Rose said, grinning up to the hazel eyed boy, and Luke eventually sighed and gave her a small smile.

"In all honesty though, I am pretty excited," Aura said, her smile accentuated with her crinkling eyes, "I mean it's Harry Potter."

Rose could feel Aaron's fingers around her shoulders, and when she looked up to him, his electrifying blue eyes were glittering. "Here," he said quietly, fishing a small napkin out of his pocket, "wipe your face or you can get sick."

"You wipe your face – I don't want that lightning scar smudging,"

"If you ask me, I think it'll be pretty badass and grungy if it smudges," he replied, already wiping away the little droplets of rain that settled on Rose's cheeks and hairline, "but you getting sick isn't something I consider cool."

"If it is because of that one time I accidentally took the wrong medicine? Because I could've sworn it said –"

Aaron leaned down to her; his forehead lightly brushing against her own. "Don't be silly," he whispered, still wiping away the little water on her face but he was looking at her too, "I just don't like seeing you infected by some pathogen that has stupid antigens that can tire your immune system out."

Rose grinned. "Nerd,"

"And yet who was the one who insisted we all came for this?"

"You would've done the exact same thing."

"..."

"..."

"I hate you,"

"Love you more."

●●●

Aaron doubted he has ever seen Rose jump on spot more.

Her knees were jittering as they all waited outside in the rain, and her arms were trembling with excitement as she adjusted Aaron's scarf yet again – which he knew she did just to distract herself from the joy that was overwhelming her – and seeing Rose glow and radiate with rosy cheeks and soft pencil smiles made Aaron want new Harry Potter books to release every year just so that he could see the very same smile and the very same twinkle in her eyes.

And it was hard not laughing considering how seriously Rose was taking everything; from Chase's untamed brown hair and his wrinkled Gryffindor sweater to Lana's soggy Slytherin hat and her Horcrux ring, Rose was just preoccupying herself with fixing everyone up that when it was finally their turn to enter the bookstore, the blonde haired girl almost passed out.

"I can't believe we're missing Sadistic, Souless Sundays for this," Chase muttered, clearly annoyed as he obnoxiously tied his Gryfinddor scarf lousier.

"You hate Sadistic, Souless Sundays," Lana backfired, a clench in her jaw, "and don't try to make Rose feel bad."

"Oh believe me," Rose said, her fingers trembling, "I wouldn't feel bad even if one of you lost an eye and a leg."

Aaron looked at her and grinned. Really? he mouthed, watching as a small giggle left her lips.

"I would've read the Drarry fanfiction you gave me," Chase mumbled, moving along the line, "I promise,"

"We gave you that like three Sunday's ago, Rose and I are already starting a new one," Lana chimed in, tightening her grip on Aiden as they moved along the crowded line.

Aaron lost Rose for a solid fifteen seconds – considering how tiny the blonde haired girl was – but he found her just a few feet away from him, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child already in her hands and a big smile on her lips.

"It's here – oh my goodness it is here in my hands," Rose squealed, almost tripping over her steps as she ran towards Aaron, "it's so beautiful." Aaron could see happy tears shine from her eyes, and he kissed her forehead before taking her hand and getting a copy of his own.

Glimmering eyes and a sunlit smile, Rose looked like a goddess roaming around the bookstore; almost yelping everything someone bumped into her and responding with a Hey watch it! Harry Potter coming through! with caution in her steps and gentleness in her arms.

And it was so incredible; seeing Rose glow in the orange lights of the bookstore, her teeth only enlivening the curves of her smile and the twinkle of her eyes, she looked ethereal – Aaron stop looking at me and get in line because – oh my God are those Harry Potter bookmarks? – even though she got side tracked a lot, Aaron wouldn't have minded staying here for as long as she liked.

"Jesus," Aiden said, and he looked more mortified than uncomfortable, "everyone here has a lightning scar on their damn foreheads."

Aaron pursed his lips. "It kinda is the symbol for Harry Potter, dumbass,"

"And everyone is wearing their house colours, I would've thought we were at Hogwarts," Luke added, nodding his head with a look of surprise.

"Where's Lana again?" Andrew muttered, Lana's purse draped across his broad shoulder. "She told me to hold her bag for a sec and now she's gone," he said, his lips pursed, "again."

Aiden was the one who laughed first. "She's probably with Rose and Aura," he told Andrew, even patting the him on the shoulder, "don't worry, she'll be right back."

"Aura's over there," Tristan said, his glasses now tucked in the V-Neck of his Ravenclaw shirt, "I can see her."

Aaron nodded. "You guys are buying anything?"

Luke was the first one to grin, showing his cart full of comic books – Marvel comic books – his Captain America pin already settled on his chest.

"Where did you find that?" Aiden laughed, shaking his head.

"Right beside the DC Comics –"

Then it was Tristan's turn to grin, his cart full of comic books to – DC comic books – a Superman pin tucked into his collar.

"Oh you son of a bitch," Luke muttered darkly.

"No way Tris," Andrew chuckled, "I thought you had all of em',"

Tristan just shrugged, but Aaron could see the triumph in his eyes. "I do, I just wanted doubles,"

"Doubles?" Luke sneered, "Of what? Aquaman and his mermaids?"

Tristan scowled. "As if Metal Man and His Vigilantes are any better,"

"They're called The Avengers, educate yourself you useless paperclip,"

"Respect Aquaman you expired jar of mayonnaise, what would you know of a desposed king and a fallen hero?"

"Loki freaking Laufeyson,"

"I think you mean a psychopath who thought he could rule Earth and then –"

"In all honesty," Andrew interrupted, rolling his eyes, "I couldn't give a fuck about this,"

Aiden nodded his head in agreement. "I want pizza,"

"How about we settle on the fact that both Marvel and DC are cool?" Aaron said, shrugging. "But not as cool as Harry Potter though,"

Tristan and Luke shared a look. "Okay listen buddy –"

"I'm back!" Aura grinned, the diadem of Ravenclaw already halfway down her head. "And look what I got!"

Tristan was the first to smile when they saw how her arms were full of volumes of different mangas; the smile on her face just as bright as the stars in Tristan's eyes. Aaron wondered if he looked like that when he looked at Rose.

"I told you I just need an introduction," Tristan mumbled, a rosy flush bright on his cheekbones, "you don't need to get all that."

"As a matter of fact I do," Aura replied, still smiling, "and who said they were all for you?"

And even though Tristan's blush darkened, Aaron could still see the genuine smile bloom on his lips. He didn't even notice Rose was next to him until he felt her elbow his side. So whipped, she mouthed to him, and Aaron tried not to smile as big.

"Okay, if all of us have cavities now, let's keep going," Aiden muttered, grabbing Lana's hand as they walked along. Even Chase ended up getting a bunch of different goodies, a big smile on his lips as he yelled This is damn bookstore! How do they even have this in here? and followed Rose right behind the counter.

Just as Rose was going to put her hand in her pocket, Aaron took Rose's hand. "I thought we had an agreement,"

She gave him a sheepish smile. "I thought you'd forget about it,"

"Rose, I doubt I'd ever forget about this – it's Potter for Christ's sake,"

Her brown eyes were almost like syrup, and the smile on her lips was just as sweet. "I really don't mind getting my own copy, Aaron,"

"I know you don't,"

"Then why are you doing this? You know how I feel about you spending money on me –"

"It really isn't that complicated," Aaron laughed, "it's actually quite simple,"

Rose's gaze became determined. "Then tell it to me then,"

Aaron smiled. ❝Mischief managed,❞ he whispered, already plopping the cash on the counter as the cashier printed the receipt.

There was always something so magical when he and Rose read Harry Potter, and there were just so many memories and feelings swirled into a four hour reading marathon at one fifty seven in the morning that Aaron realized was more beautiful than the delights swirled into daydreams and muses – no, Aaron was always a little too selfish when it came to making reminiscences with Rose, and to him, there could never be too much.

And that's why every time he bought her books, he always whispered a small prayer than whenever she reads them, or sees them lined up on her bookshelves, she would think of him.

Chase's elbow was digging into Rose's side.

"Ouch," she muttered harshly, "get off me you big goof,"

Chase spared her a side glance. "And this big goof stood in line for Potter for four hours in the rain,"

Lana snickered. "You're saying that like you didn't enjoy it. I saw you take that girl's number in the back,"

Chase flushed. "No you did not,"

Rose laughed while Lana stuck her tongue out at Chase; all of them huddled on Chase's couch for Meatless Mondays with crumbs of tofu on their laps and a generous kimchi stain on Rose's shirt.

Lana yawned. "All your movies really are crap, Chase,"

Chase now gave her a full glance, his lips pursed in disapproval. "Have you ever thought that maybe it's you with the problem?"

Lana wasn't fazed. "If that's your pathetic attempt at telling me my taste in movies is horrid, then please try again,"

Rose snorted, but when Chase shot her a stern look, she awkwardly cleared her throat.

Lana let out a small yawn, but her hazel eyes were still glimmering in determination. "Your movies are so horrid, my sleeping came on,"

"That doesn't even make any sense,"

"You don't even make sense, Chase,"

Rose laughed. "As much as I enjoy the cat fights, I really want to see how this movie ends,"

"They all die," Chase shrugged, "what's new about that?"

Rose groaned. "How many times do I have to tell you that spoilers are sins before you stop doing that?"

Chase grinned cheekily.

"Asshat," Lana muttered, draping her blanket tighter across her torso, "not even a Dementor would kiss you."

"Can you handle this magical burn?" Rose said, a playful smile on her lips.

"You are Umbridge,"

Lana's eyes hardened. "Alright mate, listen –"

●●●

Rose's eyes were watering again.

It has been the third time in the past five minutes, and they were nowhere near the tenth page. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child laid across Rose's lap, her knees at an angle to give the book a little more leverage; the light of Rose's room catching the gold lining if its spine.

Aaron sighed. "Rose are you crying again?"

"Not crying Aaron, just excreting the feels out through the mechanism of my tear ducts,"

He grinned. "You said that three cries ago,"

Rose rubbed her eyes stubbornly, a small sniffle leaving her lips as a tear rolled down her cheek. "I don't know, I just can't stop crying,"

"I can tell,"

"As a good boyfriend, you should be comforting me, not mocking me you moron,"

Aaron kissed her temple. "You know I will do that once we finish at least twenty pages,"

Rose smiled lightly. "I'll probably be sobbing by then,"

"The comfort will come right after, I promise,"

"Are you seriously picking Potter over me, Aaron?"

"Are you Siriusly asking me that question?"

"You did not,"

Aaron just shrugged, noticing how the pajamas Rose chose to wear made the arch of her collarbones even more delicate – Jesus Christ, breathe – and Aaron had to look away and count to three before he could look at her again. "There is nothing Ron with it,"

Rose actually laughed this time, the smile on her lips just as bright as the glimmer in her eyes. Even her eyelashes looked like they were sprinkled in fairy dust, and the rosiness in her cheeks made Rose look like a radiant Goddess in the middle of their fort.

The pillows around Aaron were actually started to dig into his back, but Aaron knew he'd do it again if it meant jamming out to some lousy music on Rose's phone just to build some silly fort.

And she continued reading.

She read more delicately than she ever did before, cherishing every syllable and name that she spoke in such tenderness that Aaron knew it was Rose's way of wrapping these new characters in her cocoon of warmth and love. Even with her eyes glossy with tears and her bottom lip quivering, Rose still looked just as beautiful as she always did when she read Harry Potter, and it wasn't any different with Albus Potter either.

And Rose cried like she always did.

She shed tears about the characters she held so deeply in her heart – and seeing them again for the first time in nine years – it really triggered the 'feels' that Rose had for a while.

They were only able to finish half way before Peter and Helen knocked on the door and said they could hear Rose's cries from the kitchen – Jesus Rose, you got us busted – and even though Aaron laughed, he made sure he huddled her right against his chest just the way she liked it.

Soft whispers of It's okay Rose, at least we get to see Harry again whispered into her ear, he could see the small smile bloom from her face and the sunshine in her eyes.

Truth be told Aaron wanted to cry to, and he did indeed – three tears down his left cheek – and it was one of the few times that Rose actually caught onto them and wiped his cheek dry before hugging him tightly.

And it was magical; getting to witness their favourite place in the world together once more for the first time all over again, go through a whole different journey with old characters accompanied by the new ones.

"Albus reminds me so much of Harry," Rose said as she closed the book, the yellow of her Hufflepuff bookmark peeking through the closed pages.

"Well that kinda is the reason why he is Harry's son, Rose,"

"Shut up,"

Aaron smiled.

And he wondered whether Rose would smile the exact same smile when she would talk about the children of their own.

And that's a wrap you guys! I really hope you enjoyed this, and this is officially the last update of Hers according to plot line! I am still so shook that I wrote a novel, and it still does blow my mind because let's face it, I am a loser.

I hope you all liked the little snippet I wrote up, and sorry it took this long, it's just that school has been really stressful and I cannot seem to focus on anything. It's kinda like one of those years where you literally have no idea what is going on, and you are kinda tired of life, so that's senior year for you.
