《The Troublemaker's Ghost | ✓》5: I am a bubblehead.

"You couldn't be any more late", he said to me annoyingly as he started floating towards the many aisles in the grocery store.
"Unlike you I had to park my car and walk here", I said taking a cart and following behind him.
He went towards the aisle which had the array of different varieties of chips. Stopped towards them with a satisfied grin on his face. "Take all the Doritos," he said pointing towards the colorful packets.
Suddenly I wasn't scared anymore but more annoyed by his dominating demeanor. He can't tell me what to do and what not to do. Besides he didn't do anything that will make me be afraid of him.
Seeing me debating with myself, he casted an annoyed look on his face while crossing his arms over his chest giving me a good view of his well-formed muscles which were bulging out now. That wasn't helping me with the idea of giving him a piece of my mind. Finally I tore my gaze away from his muscles and looked at him.
"What if I don't?" I challenged him crossing my arms across my chest, just like him.
I expected him to get angry but he smirked at me showing me his dimples. For some reason that annoyed me. I thought he would react.
"Well I can make you." With that he floated towards me and placed his mouth against my ear. I kind of shivered in response. "Pick up the damn Doritos", he whisper-shouted at me making me jump a little in surprise.
Suddenly I was lost in a trance just processing this words. Somehow my body was telling me to do that but my mind resisted. Then almost involuntarily I started stuffing the cart with all the Doritos. I have no idea what came over me. I just couldn't control myself.
As I was loading my cart with Doritos, I saw a really good looking guy coming towards me. He was about my age and he was wearing jeans and a turtle neck sweater. He smiled at me and took his sweet time observing as if choosing something.
"Looks like you have a party at your house", he said gestured towards the pile of Doritos in my cart.
Before I could say something in a flirty way, a voice inside my ears interrupted my thoughts as if eliminating everything that I was about to say.

"Nope," I said popping the 'p'. "I am eating for two", I said robotically as I stroked my tummy. What the fuck?
"Uh-huh", he said eyeing me.
Before he could say anything I interrupted him. "Yup this is my third one", I said with a straight face. Wait, no Grace!
Let me remind you that the whole time the asshole ghost was shouting in my ears telling me what to do.
"You seem very young. Are you sure?" he asked scrunching his eyebrows together with a worried expression on his face.
"Yes because I am a bubblehead", I answered him curtly with that I pulled the cart away from him before I can make a bigger fool out of myself leaving a shocked guy behind me. The whole time the ghost kept his mouth on my ears following me.
Finally I came back to my senses. "What the hell was that?" I whisper-shouted at him. I didn't want anyone to be freaked out by the fact that I was talking to thin air. I knew for a fact that no one can see him except for me. But he wasn't listening to me. He was laughing his ass off placing one hand on his abdomen and the other on his hips. I was really irritated by him now.
I waited for him to finished laughing. He dramatically whipped a fake tear of his cheeks with the back of his index finger looking at me with an amused expression on his face. "I told you if you don't follow my orders I have to make you", he said shrugging. "I have more plans for you" he continued shoving me to another aisle. What the hell did I get myself into?
"Take these", he said pointing at a stack of condoms. I froze to my spot.
"What do you need them for? I croaked. He chuckled at my response. He approached me. As if I can read his mind, I backed away. "No whispering. I can take them by myself", with that I started stacking the cart with condoms. Oh god it's going be so embarrassing to ring them up.
I started heading towards the counter with my head down. I didn't want to show my face as I was carrying a heap pile of Doritos and a stack of condoms. I can feel people's stares on me but I ignored them. I placed my cart against the counter. The old man started scanning the Doritos. The whole time I kept my head down while the ghost analyzed the whole situation. The old man hesitantly picked up the condoms and started scanning them. There were 55 of them. The ghost's eyes gleamed in mischief as if he remembered something and he started to approach me. I knew what he was going to do, but before I could back away, he wrapped his arms around me and placed his mouth against my ear.

"Stop moving". Almost instantly I was fixed on my spot. He let his hands fall to his sides letting me go missing his firm grip.
"Could you hurry up my boyfriend is waiting for me". I heard someone saying that to the old guy. Oh wait that was me. He looked up to me and quietly nodded his head and then he continued to do his work.
"He's a-about your age... he doesn't have the s-stamina like he used to. I had to rush in the m-middle...For this", I said as I picked up one of the condom packets clearly referring to the fact that I was having sex with my old man before I came here. I couldn't believe what I was saying. If I was embarrassed so was he. His ears was the color of my hair now and he straightened his glasses with his free hand, my cheeks were red and I ducked my head even more. The only person who was enjoying this whole situation was the ghost. He let go of me and started roaring with laughter.
"That would be 87.50," he said clearly ignoring my gaze. 87.50? I didn't have that much right now. I looked at the ghost and mouthed him that and he instantly stopped laughing.
"Watch this", with that he placed his mouth near the old guy's ears. "Tell her it's free", he shouted in his ears.
Suddenly he looked straight as if lost in thought, his eyes became glassy. His whole demeanor changed. After the ghost yelled at him the second time. He looked at me and said, "It's free. You don't need to pay".
I can't believe he was screwing the poor old guy like this. I helplessly nodded at him and quietly picked up my groceries and rushed out of the store.
The whole way I drove quietly but I wanted to burst out in anger. But I didn't want to risk making a complete fool of myself again as he was one manipulating asshole. Inside my head I was finding a thousand ways to kill him. Oh wait, he's already dead. That's too bad. I hardened my grip on the steering wheel as we drove back home. I parked the car in the garage and stomped upstairs to my apartment not caring the fact he followed me or not.
Finally I closed the apartment door behind me, turning around to see him already sitting on the couch flicking the channels on the television with a bored expression on his face.
"What the fucking hell was that?" I yelled at him finally letting my anger out.
"What?" he asked, his eyes set on the television screen.
"You know it very well". I crossed my arms across my chest leaning on my left foot.
"That? Oh I was just having fun".
Before I could say anything, he interrupted me.
"Listen tomato-head, I thought after I let you know how your goody-two-shoes boyfriend is cheating on you... You are going to get the hell out of here", he cried out. I didn't know what to react to, the fact that he called me a tomato-head or he knows how my boyfriend cheated on me. Wait he was the one who sent me the notes?
With a grim look on his face, he got up and floated towards me. His forehead was almost touching mine as he looked at me with those emerald colored eyes. "You are going to leave this apartment soon or else you have to bear the consequences. Today was just a trailer of what I am going to do to you", he said with a challenging look.
Before I could respond he turned away disappearing into the thin air.
