Huo Sishen remained motionless at the same spot only looking over at the empty little road from time to time.

His cold eyes flickered.

“She is probably having lunch right now.”

He said randomly.

Out of the blue. Nobody knew who he was referring to.

Luckily Siyi was reminded by Sier the day before.

He caught on immediately.

“Miss Gu had probably eaten already. It was a party. You eat when you want.”

Huo Sishen raised his brows.

Normally speaking, yes.

But what about her?

She ran out almost crying from being bullied last time.

Had he not happened to see her, she probably never would have mentioned it. She pretended that she has eaten even when she was hungry.

Something about the cupcake tasted pretty good…

Even Gu Shishi couldn’t help but turned and looked at Huo ChuChu.

Sure enough, the rebellious, short-haired girl was already biting down on her slips and was on the verge of breaking into tears.

Huo ChuChu had already warned her before they returned.

He has very high standards in life.

He wanted to tell her that he had already brought in a Michelin 3-star chef earlier today.

And lunch has been prepared.

He sat down and showed his approval with his action.

He nicely accepted the plate and chopsticks from Gu Shishi.

His cold look drifted to Huo ChuChu the next second.

Gu Shishi quickly said, “This will be enough for the three of us. Take this one with you, Siyi.”

Huo ChuChu was stunned.

The soup dumpling has thin skin and was pretty juicy. The meat, though, was of low quality.

She thought this was delicious?

And that it was the best?

“I’ve never been to Nanxiang. I heard they have the best soup dumplings there.”

Gu Shishi nodded after she had swallowed the food in her mouth.

Huo Sishen frowned.

That was what she cared about?

He turned and looked at the takeout box next to him. The Napolean inside of it were starting to fall apart.

That was worth her bringing back all the way?

Huo Sishen suddenly came to a very serious realization.

The two girls at the table.

One was his own sister and the other one was Gu Shishi.

The first one was hesitating with her chopsticks in the air and questioning the meaning of life as she stared at the soup dumplings from some unknown source, not wanting to try any of them.

The other one was thoroughly enjoying herself and recommending them to him at the same time…

The differences between the two of them was major.

She was like a person who thought they had seen the palace in the moon before she has even climbed up a high mountain.

Gu Shishi abjectly lacked any knowledge of their circle.

She wasn’t raised coddled.

She lacked higher knowledge, vision, and sense of appreciation.

All in all, she was too… naïve.

Huo Sishen waved at Siyi.

He pointed at the takeout box sitting on top of the table and said, “Go look into this.”

Gu Shishi was a little stunned; as was Siyi.

“Boss, here’s the report on QiQi Soup Dumpling.

“The hygiene in the kitchen was very bad. I have pictures of cockroaches, mice, and flies. Would you like to see them?”

Huo Sishen pointed at the dumbfounded Gu Shishi.

“Show them to her.”

Gu Shishi, “…..! Can I not look at them?”

Huo Sishen narrowed his cold eyes.

After one second, then two seconds, Gu Shishi finally lowered her head, “It wasn’t like I’ve gotten sick from it before…”

Huo Sishen reached out and put a soup dumpling into his mouth.

He chewed a few times and frowned.

“Siyi, go make a reservation,” said Huo Sishen as he put down the chopsticks.

Her parents never taught her and she had no idea what was good cuisine that was worth standing in line for.

It seemed he’d have to be the one who take on that responsibility!

Huo Sishen, frowning, look over at Huo ChuChu again. When he saw her faux hawk and lip ring, his eyes twitched and he was angered.

But he suppressed his anger.

“Go home after you are done eating!

“Next time… anyone who dare let you in and get the heck out with you.”

He voice was chilling.

Huo ChuChu’s eyes reddened.

And Gu Shishi shuddered.

Huo Sishen was enraged.

The angry look on him was enough to intimidate anyone.

Even the bulky Siyi would not want to be in the crosshair, let alone Huo ChuChu, a little girl who was still working on her master degree.

She had turned pale.

His lips shut and he held onto the chopsticks tightly.

Gu Shishi picked up another soup dumpling. She looked over at Huo Sishen, then over at Huo ChuChu, whose knees were weak.

She sighed quietly.

She was the only fearless one who understood what was going through the boss’s mind from the fondness level in the system.

As long as the fondness maintained, the boss’s mood was within a controllable range.

She wasn’t worried at all.

There was, however, a dull pain in her heart.

Why, oh, why though?

They were brothers and sisters. Why did they want their relationship to get to this point?

Only after the front door had opened and closed before Huo Sishen slowly opened up his eyes and gazed at the empty seat wordlessly.

He finally put down the chopsticks after a long while.

He stood up.

Walked up to second floor and went back inside his room.

He didn’t say a word to Gu Shishi.

“Aye.”

Gu Shishi rested her head on her palm. Looking at the table-full of food, she had lost her appetite.

She was not a picky person.

She was not very particular.

Her taste in food was very similar to that of the original owner. She enjoyed these soup dumplings. The duck blood vermicelli wasn’t bad either.

But she wasn’t able to eat any more of them.

What was the point of just filling herself up if she was just eating alone?

Any kind of delicacies would taste just like wax… that must be what the boss went through every day.

She shook her head and looked at the Napoleon cakes. What a waste.

Zhou Mi had specifically said that this was the chef’s best dish. Now they were all wasted.

She was just about to clean up the table when she heard a loud thunder!

It was raining cats and dogs in no time!

It was still sunny in the morning and rain was pouring in just one second. The wind was fierce and the tree branches were slamming against each other.

She walked over to the window and saw pea-sized rain pouring down heavily.

Huo ChuChu… was she okay?

Gu Shishi frowned a little.

If anything happened to his sister, Huo Sishen would have crazy thoughts again. He’d feel that what had happened to her was because of his curse again.

All he did was let his sister entered his mansion, sat at the same table, and that had brought bad luck to her… that would be his conclusion given his personality.
