Chapter 126 - Wind, Water, Cloud (1)

Gu Shishi turned around and saw a proud-looking girl wearing a bouffant dress standing next to Zhao Xian.

Zhao Xian, looking at though she was there for the drama, said, "Shishi, when you weren't here yesterday, Xiao Mei ran into some trouble with her student. Hwer customer made a complaint against her."

The girl in the bouffant dress lifted her chin up even higher after hearing Zhao Xian's words.

"I read online that there were some oil painting and ink painting guru here and thought I'd come over and check it out over the weekend. I paid for the $5000 for the 1-on-1 session with the premium instructor. And her quality was so awful!"

Gu Shishi raised her brows.

She had quickly scanned over the pricing scheme of the art studio previously.

The 1-on-1 sessions were the most expensive and a small class of tens of students the cheapest.

As for the title of premium instructor, that was almost everyone at the place, especially during the weekend, when they were the busiest. They didn't even have enough instructors and every single student wanted the best one, which was obviously impossible.

As far as she knew, even the store manager wasn't there yesterday.

The store manager stayed at home with her children every other week.

"I heard that there will be an even more impressive instructor today, so I thought I would give you another chance. I am going to ask for a refund if I am still unhappy with what I get."

The girl in the bouffant dress was quite a character.

Ling Xiaomei lowered her head and felt very embarrassed.

Zhao Xian didn't think that was enough and added, "Shishi, you were the best one during our examination last time. Even Big Sister Jun and the others said they weren't as good as you. Quick, you need to help out Xiao Mei."

As she was talking, there was an obvious smile in her eyes.

Gu Shishi frowned a little.

Her words were very loaded.

What the seasoned employees said the other day was that they weren't as good as her when they took the examinations themselves, not that they still weren't as good as a newcomers now.

Obviously, Zhao Xian only said that to put her on the spot!

If she stood up and helped out now, it was like her saying that she was better than the experienced employees.

The worst thing one can do at the workplace was stepping on others' toes, especially when a new employee stepped on that of an experienced one!

Gu Shishi casually turned the table on her.

Qi Xianjin and a few other experienced employees looked over when they overheard their conversation.

Zhao Xian's face changed colors right away.

She was trying to set Gu Shishi up; but now she got herself into sh*t!

Oh, that Gu Shishi was so wicked!

Zhao Xian forced a smile on herself and said, "That was only during my first month here. I am nowhere close to our seniors. Shishi, back to what we were talking about. Are you going to help Xiao Mei? Customers are gods. Miss Shen had been waiting for a while now."

Gu Shishi snickered to herself.

She glossed over Zhao Xian directly and said, "Of course we would need to resolve the issue."

Holding Ling Xiaomei's hand, she gestured her to follow her.

She walked in front of the bouffant girl and gave her an apologetic smile.

"Hi, ma'am, I apologize. I was scheduled to work yesterday, so the class that you had paid for should have been with me.

"I had to have my coworker sit in for me as I had to take care of some family matters. Why don't I help you today? Would that work for you? We will call this the audit class and it'd be free."

Making it an audit meant the shop would be short the income from one session.

She'd let the store manager know. If the store manager was not okay with it, she would make it up with her own money.

"You? Gu Shishi?"

Bouffant dress girl looked at her name tag on her uniform and smiled.

"Sure. I'll attend your class today."

Zhao Xian's face froze for a bit.

One sentence from Gu Shishi and she had resolved the issue.

Even when she stood up for Ling Xiaomei, she managed to not make the others feel that she was showing them up as she was right. This girl was her customer to begin with.

Ling Xiaomei was scheduled to have a day off yesterday.

A few of the experienced employees at the art studio also agreed with her.

"Mmm. Shishi is a good instructor."

"Ink painting isn't Xiao Mei's strength. Thanks for taking it over, Shishi."

Bouffant dress girl was a picky customer with a bad temper.

She was the kind of customer that nobody wanted to touch with a 10-foot pole.

Now that Gu Shishi gave them an out, none of them wanted to touch this hot potato.

Ling Xiaomei, feeling ashamed of herself, followed behind Gu Shishi.

She squeezed Gu Shishi's hand and said to her softly, "Be careful."

Gu Shishi acknowledged her.

Bouffant dress girl picked the spot in the center of the classroom.

As soon as she sat down, she said, "I want to learn the method to draw three things."

She looked at Gu Shishi in a very provocative way and said, "First one: water; second: cloud; third: wind! You can only use black and white and you cannot use ripples or reflections for the water, or lines for the wind."

As soon as she finished saying that, a few of the experienced instructors changed colors.

Even Ling Xiaomei looked up and gritted her teeth. "You only asked me to draw water yesterday."

"I did, but didn't you say I have a better instructor now?"

Bouffant dress girl chuckled and stroked her bright red finger nails.

"Naturally, I would bring up all of my requests."

"You... you are trying to make trouble purposefully!"

As soft as Ling Xiaomei normally was, she was a little flustered right now.

Water and wind were both nature with no color or taste.

And clouds could only be seen clearly in a blue sky. Once it was switched to black-and-white ink painting, the way to depict them was very limited.

Never mind all the additional conditions that she had listed.

Without using strokes to depict waves or clouds, it would make that very difficult.

"Causing troubles? Are you saying that I paid $5,000 just to cause troubles here?" Bouffant girl snickered.

"And what exactly would that get me? Do I have too much time on hand? Is this how you treat your customers here? You didn't have the skills and you say I am here to cause trouble?"

"You..."

Ling Xiaomei balled up her fist angrily and wanted to run up to her, but she was stopped by Gu Shishi.

"Xiao Mei, don't be reckless. Take a seat first. I can solve your problem," said Gu Shishi nonchalantly.

She looked up at the bouffant dress girl and her eyes flickered a little.

She had on an entire outfit of designer brand clothes.

Gu Shishi didn't use to know any of these materialistic goods.

But now that she has been filling her health bar, she was very familiar with all the brands inside of her closet.

The bouffant dress girl, dressed in Chanel from head to toe, was no regular girl.

Gu Shishi's look was a little cold.

Was she sent here by that gang of girls again?

Gu Shishi dragged over a stool and sat in front of the easel. She picked a somewhat clean paint brush and washed it out with some clean water.

She then dipped it into the ink.

"Wind, cloud, and water. That is not a good question for you."

Gu Shishi squinted.

Bouffant dress girl snickered, "You can't do it, can you?"

Water has no colors or form, and wind is not even tangible or palpable.
