MATT'S POV:

Leo is giving Chris and I a ride to school today, even though I have my car back now, but according to him, if we're gonna come out to the school as official, we should do it properly. Which I find adorable to be honest.

So that's where we are now, in our school's parking lot, still inside Leo's car, holding hands and just kissing a little, before he turns to me, "are you sure you want to do this? We can wait Matt, really, I don't mind, I just don't want you to regret anything."

I swear I just fell a little more at that moment. Damn Leo, always being so considerate. But I don't want to wait. I've already waited so long, that right now I just want everyone to know that Leo is with me, that he chose me and I chose him. I still can't believe a guy like him likes me, I mean, I'm not complaining, far from it but I'm just happy, I guess - way too happy.

"Leo," I answer. "I am 100% sure I want to do this. I'll have no regrets, because I'll get to be with you without having to worry about other people flirting with you, thinking you're available, and at least a few people will back off. I know it won't be all rainbows and sunshine, but most of our school is pretty cool with the LGBT+ community, look at that guy Harry Newman, he is openly gay, and apart from an insult or two from some guys he seems ok. And besides, I've hidden for to long."

Leo just looks at me, with a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes. I take a deep breath and hold his face and kiss him again, soft and gentle while he caresses my cheek.

After a few minutes we decide it's probably time to actually go inside, seeing as we don't want to be late for class. We have the same 1st period, which is maths, and that reminds me of something, "hey...I haven't tutored in a while..."

"Oh, that" he answers and looks down, scratching the back of his neck looking a little embarrassed. "I kinda lied about needing tutoring...I have an A in that class, I just wanted an excuse to talk to you..."

Oh my God. Did he just say that?! That's adorable! "I can't believe you've been through basically a month of me boring your head out with math tutoring for nothing!" Even though it's totally sweet.

"You could never bore me."

And after that we decide that we should really go inside before it's too late.

So, with that, we exit the car hand in hand and head to the school building. We're not even inside the school and we're already getting stares from the people in the parking lot. God, I hate this. Not being out with Leo. I actually really love that, I just don't like all the attention I'm getting. I feel exposed, I can't really explain it.

Leo must have noticed my discomfort, 'cause he puts his arm around my shoulders and whispers in my ear, "are you ok with this?"

I just nod in response, whith a blush tinting my cheeks and a smile covering my face. And it's true, I do feel better like this, because while it might bring more attention to us, it makes me feel better, protected. Plus, Leo smells good, so that's a plus.

He smiles back at me and kisses my cheek, making me blush even more and lower my head.

We reach my locker and get my things, but seeing as Leo also has to get things from his locker he pecks my lips and we agree to meet by my locker again after, so we can go to class together. Leo's locker is on the other hall and it's still a few minutes, so I take my time getting my things together.

When I'm putting my things inside my backpack, I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn around. I was expecting Leo, or even Macy and John, but am surprised to see Harry Newman standing there in all his purple hair, flamboyant glory. Unlike me, Harry seems to be the kind of person who wants all the attention on him. He's on the drama club here in school and he's the lead most of the times.

"Did the Leonardo Bryant just kiss you?!" Harry asks.

I'm a little surprised by this, seeing as we've never actually talked before, even with him being in one my classes, I guess we just never really got around to it.

When I don't answer him, he just decides to keep talking, "Damn, I did not know Leo was into guys...crap, my gaydar is a bit off. I mean, I knew you were gay, not that I'm being steriotyping you or anything, I just saw looking at Leo's ass way too many times," I give him a wide eyed look at that, and he chuckles. "I'm not some psycho stalker, I just like to observe people I think are interesting and you are quite nice to look at, so it's not what I would define as a 'sacrifice'. But, really, are you guys, like, dating?"

He just looks at me expectantly, waiting for me to answer, but I just laugh at this guys antics. He looks at me like I'm crazy, but still like he's wating for an answer.

"Sorry, it's just that that was very straightforward. Not that it's a bad thing, on the contrary, I just wasn't expecting it. I'm Matt, by the way."

At this he looks a little embarrassed but shakes my hand nonetheless, "Harry."

"And...to answer your previous question, yes we are dating."

"OMG! That is so awesome! And very brave for you to come out in high school, even though it's actually no that bad. I mean, you're gonna hear some pretty offensive words, but as long as you don't let it get to your head, you'll be fine. At least I've never suffered any physical abuse here."

"That's actually good to know...I was a little worried about it."

He's about to say something when Leo reappears and slungs his arm around my shoulders while giving Harry a death glare. Damn, what is up with this boy. Harry seems to notice it, but does not look the least bit bothered by it, he looks a bit giddy about it.

"OMG!! You are adorbs! You are so jealous! Even though I'm not doing anything, besides talking to Matty here, you still act protective, which is super cute! I ship it so freaking much, it's not even a joke!!" Harry says while fanboying.

Leo, on the other hand, isn't giving him a glare anymore, he actully looks a little embarrassed at being caught being protective. Not that I mind, as long as he doesn't go straight out possessive, I'm cool with him being a little protective over me, just like I am over him. I didn't even know he was jealous.

When no one says anything, Harry takes it upon himself to keep talking, "Like, you're seriously the best couple, like Leo's got the hot factor and Matty's got the cute factor. I mean, I know you're both pretty smart, but you're like the brains and the brawn!" And after using that expression, he looks super proud of himself.

Leo and I look at each other with shocked faces and Leo turns back to Harry with a raised eyebrow and asks, "did you just flirt with both of us...at the same time?"

"I did? I didn't even realise. I probably did, I'm a natural flirt, with everyone really, it's just in my nature, it has ruined a lot of friendships and relationships, but whatevs, if they don't accept me for my natural flirt ways, then they can go... I don't need them. Besides, you guys are just too cute! My little gay heart can't take this much cuteness!"

"Umm, thanks...I guess...?" I answer.

"You are very welcome! We should hang out more often, you guys look like fun!" Harry says.

"Well, would you like to have lunch with us today?" I ask. I don't know how the others will react to this. They seem to like to meet new people, and I don't think any of them is homophobic, so hopefully it's cool with everyone.

"Are you for real?! I swear I'm not always this hyperactive, I'm just happy I'm not one of the only out guys in this school. But yes, I would like to have lunch with you, if it's ok with all your friends. Also, mine probably won't mind, they're chill usually."

"Ok then, cool. See you at lunch then," Leo says.

After that we say goodbye. Leo and I head to art class together, his arm still slung over my while Harry goes down the opposite hall to whatever class he has now.

"So," Leo asks while we sit down in our sits in class. We don't really have a sitting plan so we can just sit wherever, thank God," you still ok with all this? I noticed you were a little nervous at the beginning."

"I'm fine Leo," I assure him, taking his hand in mine."I was just little nervous because of all the attention, but I'm good now, I'll get used to it. Besides, Harry has weirdly helpful insight. Guess he must speak from experience."

"Yeah. I'm just glad you're good. That kid is just too enthusiastic for me, considering it's still way too early. But, he's still cool."

We both laugh and keep talking to each other until the teacher comes in and starts the class.

It's now lunch time and we're waiting for Harry to join us. Everyone else, except Leo, who had to go to his locker, is already here and they're ok with Harry joining us.

Leo arrives shortly after and greets me with a kiss on the cheek. That seems to make everyone stop what they're doing and look at us.

Jackson seems to be the one to recover first, "So the rumours are true then, you guys really are a thing. Thank God, I don't think I could go another day with this guy," he points at Leo." whining about how much he has a crush on you."

Leo and I blush, but smile either way.

Then John and Macy simultaniously slap my arm and Macy says, "Why didn't you tell us?!"

"It happened yesterday, I was gonna tell you today, geez..." I say while rubbing my arm.

She opens her mouth to say something else but is interrupted by a tray dropping in our table, in the seat next to Carter, who looks a little tense all of a sudden. We all look at a smiling Harry.

"Hello, beautiful people! My name is Harrison Newman, but no one calls me that because I hate it, so call me Harry and everything will be fine."

Yup, still straightforward.

They all introduce themselves and we start talking again about nothing and anything, and trying to get to know Harry a little better. Turns out, he has a boyfriens, who's a freshman in the local community college, they've been dating for two months. For some reason, Carter frowned a little when he heard that. Oh well, guess I'll just have to ask Leo what all that was about later.

We were once again all happily talking, when we were interrupted by the annoying voice that belongs to no other person than queen bitch herself, Laurel. Ugh, can't she just leaves us alone?!

"Hey baby, you didn't answer my call yesterday, I had the house all to myself, we could have had some fun," she says with a, I suppose, sexy wink.

"Yeah, well, I was busy, and will continue to be busy for a very long time, so please don't please don't call me again," Leo answers.

"Yeah, but there were some rumours goin' around and I just wanted to make sure they were all a lie. I know you only have eyes for me."

"That's not true, I never liked you, Laurel, and I don't want you yo keep having the wrong idea. I'm with someone now, so you have to stop throwing yourself at me. I would appreciate that very much, thank you."

"I won't believe anything until I have proof."

Oh?! She wants proof? Not being able to listen to this bullshit anymore, I tap Leo's shoulder so he'll turn to me, grab his face with both my hands and crash our lips together. And not just a sweet peck anymore either, full on french kissing. And I don't even care that everyone is probably looking at us. I just want her to leave.

Leo and I separate after a while to see that Laurel is gone, thank God, and everyone at our table is looking at us with different emotions showing on their faces.

Harry is the one to break the silence, "that was hot. Also, are your lunch breaks always like this? Because if so, I'm having lunch with you guys way more often, because, drama!"

We all laugh and continue having lunch. I'm guessing Laurel will be a recurring 'problem' in our relationship. She does not strike me as the person to quit.

Whatever, I'll just make the most of it while I can.
