Rio Grande City, April 15th

Over the past weeks, everything has been normal in the Borderland...no major incidents have caused commotion...only the typical Sombras who appeared in both cities but that has been taken care of thanks to the Ministry in Rio Grande City and Yggdrasil in Sun City…

On a typical spring night...where it's neither cold nor hot...the Di Fiore siblings head to the Ministry...

“Hurry up Valerie or your dinner is going to get cold.” Daniel says to Valerie as they walk down the street going to the Ministry. Valerie frowns and puffs her cheeks:

“Ay hermano, you are going too fast”

Daniel looks at Valerie and sighs with his eyes closed:

“Okay I will slow down, Uriel always says to me that I must protect you.”

Valerie hugs Daniel and says; “Aww you’re so sweet.”

“Shut up and hurry,” Daniel blushes with embarrassment. As they walk down the street, Valerie begins a conversation:

“So, how is school?”

“Seriously, you want to ask me that?” Daniel shakes his head, Valerie puffs her cheeks as she exclaims; “Hey, what’s wrong with wanting to know about my little brother’s life...tell me, do you have a girlfriend now?”

“I don’t have time for such unorthodox things Valerie…”

“Oh come on...I know that you and Fabiola are close, then there's Abril and Mariana and now Estrella...Don’t tell me it doesn't excite you living with four beautfigul girls that are the same age as you…”

“Like I said, I don’t have interest, besides…”

“Besides?”

“Don’t you feel it Valerie? There is tension in the air...something is coming...and we must be prepared, that's why, I need you to stay focused…”

“Yeah, yeah…” Valerie says as she looks at the sky; “But still…” Valerie grabs Daniel’s head; “I know that you are working hard and all...but remember, you are still a teenager...try to enjoy life a little…”

Daniel gets embarrassed once again; “Stop that!”

“Besides, like Uriel says, when the time comes, the time will come…” Valerie chuckles, Daniel exclaims; “That’s not how he says it and it didn’t make any sense.”

“Really? I guess I didn’t pay too much attention…” Valerie chuckles once more. Daniel looks at her and asks:

“Hey, Valerie...do you trust Uriel?”

“Of course I do…” Valerie doesn’t hesitate to answer. Daniel gets upset; “You answer without hesitating...Look I know that you are easy going but still...we can’t remember him...and what’s worse, he is El Charro Negro…”

Valerie changes her smile to a serious expression; “DANIEL” She raises her voice interrupting Daniel; “Stop saying that...Uriel is our brother...think back, he has risked his life for us countless times...I can’t believe you are still doubting him after all these years…”

Daniel remains silent, Valerie hugs him; “It’s okay if you have doubts, I mean, I also have my doubts once in a while...but still...Uriel is Uriel, and he is family...always remember that...so have faith in him…”

“Yeah...Yeah…”Daniel says as he pushes Valerie away and continues to walk. Daniel stops and looks to the sky; “Well...I hope our brother is having a good time in Mexico...”

Valerie runs to his side; “Silly brother...Of course he will have fun…”

The two of them continue to walk towards the Ministry…

In the Ministry of San Juan...everybody gets ready for dinner… Today is Abril’s Birthday...they don’t actually know when is her real birthday but this is the day she was left in the Ministry...Father Clemente decided to celebrate her Birthday today...

“Come on Mariana...finish putting those plates…” Fabiola orders with her arms crossed. Mariana gets nervous; “O-O-Okay…”

“Sheesh hermana… you’re in a really bad mood today…” Abril makes fun of her, Fabiola looks at her and replies; “Oh shut it...just because it's your birthday, it doesn’t mean you can slack off…”

“Yeah...yeah...I bet you’re just jealous because Uriel sent me a birthday message. Abril shows her message from Uriel:

Feliz Cumpleanos...ten un gran dia… (Happy Birthday...have a great day)

Fabiola’s face gets red and she looks away; “Hhmmpphh...so what?”

“I believe you're jealous because he remembered my birthday and not yours…”

Fabiola’s Birthday was February 28th...Uriel was training on that time...he did say Happy Birthday on March 7th…

“Oh shut up…” Fabiola chases Abril with a broom. Estrella looks at them as she puts on the cups on the table; “I wonder how Uriel is doing?”

“I bet he is doing fine mija…” Maria replies as she stands by her side. Estrella looks at Maria and asks; “Ms. Maria...I heard that he was after a Feathered Serpent...is that true?”

“Yes it’s true...but I’m sure he is going to be okay...you know, he might see La LLorona…” (Weeping Lady)

“La Llorona?” Estrella asks, confused. Fabiola stops pursuing Abril as they hear the word “Llorona.” Mariana asks frightened; “Is la Llorona real?”

“Oh she is...she is a ghost that wanders in the center of Mexico…” Father Clemente explains as he enters the dining hall. He smiles as he continues to speak:

“When I was in Mexico...countless young children went missing...they say that before the children disappeared they heard this…” Father Clemente asks the couple to come closer and whisper; “Ay mis hijos…” (Oh my children)

“Why does she say that?” Estrella asks, scared.

“According to legend, she lost her children and now she wanders all over Mexico in search of them...if you hear her scream..it means that she will come get you...remember...Ay mis hijos…”

Maria chuckles; “But that’s only a legend...there is no such thing as “La Llorona”...”

“AAYYY MMMIISSS HHIIIGGOOOSS” The girls hear a scream from the kitchen. They begin to panic:

“KKKYYYAAAAA”

Maria walks to the kitchen; “What happened?” Maria sees Carolina on her knees; “I dropped my higos for the cake…” (Higos= Figs)

Fig is a type of peach-like fruit similar to raisins…

“Hey everyone, we’re back!” Valerie opens the door and sees Father Clemente on the ground with mash potatoes on his face. “SERIOUSLY FATHER, DON’T SCARE US LIKE THAT!” Fabiola scolds him. Valerie notices the table shaking, she lifts the tablecloth and sees the other three sisters below the table shaking.

“What in the world happened here?” Valerie asks Father Clemente, Father Clemente chuckles; “I guess I went a little overboard…”

“Oh, hijos, welcome back!” Maria says as she comes out of the kitchen. Daniel asks; “What happened here mother?”

“Oh you know...we’re just getting the party started…” Maria chuckles as the scolding continues.

And so...the Ministry of San Juan’s night was a little noisy…

Sun City…

In a chinese restaurant located at the “Fountains”, a very famous mall where teenagers like to hang out...a part of the HISTO.RE.A. Alliance had a “secret” meeting…

“So then, why are we here?” Carlos asks as he eats a bowl of ramen; “Seriously, I have better things to do…”

“You mean play video games, then watch porn?” Chelsea mocks Carlos who gets embarrassed: “Oh shut up…” Carlos looks away thinking; “Damn it...that was just what I was thinking…”

“Oh come on...we’re a team, we must have meetings once in a while…” Tiwa says as she eats some Teriyaki chicken with fried rice.

Chelsea, who is eating Broccoli Beef with white rice says; “Well, it’s not too bad...Tiwa invited me to hang out and I just figured to invite you as well...you should thank me…”

Chelsea once again makes fun of Carlos who only continues to eat. Tiwa sighs with her eyes closed; “I wish my friend was here…”

“Oh, you mean Uriel?” Chelsea says it with a luxurious tone. Tiwa nods in agreement; “But he and Alejandro went to Mexico…”

“I know right, how lucky they are...they got to go with the Cortes, who are really hot and with that Antoine guy is a cutie…”

“I know right...he is so handsome…” Tiwa and Chelsea begin to gossip, Carlos feels like “giant words” hit him in the face, he stands up and says:

“If you guys are going to talk about guys, then I’m out…”

“Wait...we are having a strategy meeting here…” Tiwa says to Carlos. Carlos sighs and sits once again. Tiwa begins to speak:

“For one week, we’re going to be alone, protecting the city...From the members of the Alliance; Uriel, Alejandro and Kasumi went to Mexico.”

“Shion went back to Japan...she was summoned by her family…” Chelsea explains to Tiwa.

“Rosa decided to visit Flor back in Rio Grande City...she will be staying there for two weeks…” Carlos drinks his soda.

“That means we’re the only ones here...what if there is another attack like the ones before...or what if Darius Lucifugus decides to make his move…” Tiwa begins to feel anxiety. Chelsea chuckles:

“Relax, we can handle this alone...aren’t you the powerful Shaman priestess? The Last Survivor of Ysleta Tribe?”

“What are you talking about, of course I am...we will protect this city…” Tiwa shouts with pride. Carlos looks at her thinking; “You’re so easy to handle…”

(BEEP BEEP)

“Speaking of which, we have a couple of Sombras in the west part of the city…”

Tiwa stands up and says with excitement; “Alright guys, time to head out…”

“Yeah...yeah…” Carlos and Chelsea stand up and follow Tiwa.

These three will have a “little problem” concerning the Sombras but that’s a story for another time…

Lucifugus Mansion…

Located near the mountains there is an exclusive street where the leaders of the Twin cities live. Giant mansions with the best cars. At the end of the street there is a huge mansion where the mayor resides.

In the dining hall, Darius and Olivia have dinner:

“Good news...it appears the students have arrived in Mexico…” Olivia comments to Darius. Darius has a glass of wine and slowly moves it as he smiles:

“Excellent...now our plans can finally be set to motion…”

Darius drinks from his glass and looks to his right, there is a maid with black hair, pale skin and reddish eyes standing next to him:

“I’m sorry that I couldn't go with the others...my dear Anastasia...”

Originally, Anastasia was supposed to go with the other students to Mexico…

Anastasia doesn’t respond at first. Darius continues to say; “I know that you wanted to go with Alejandro, but I need you to do another mission for me…”

“That is alright, I haven’t forgotten that I am just a servant...I will do as my Master tells me to…”

“Now...now...don’t say that...I see you as my own daughter...now get prepared because you leave tonight…”

“Yes...father…” Anastasia begins to leave. She is about to reach the door when Darius says something that he noticed:

“Anastasia, are you upset that you didn’t go?”

Anastasia stops from opening the door; “Not at all...I don’t have those kinds of emotions, I am just a servant…”

“You know, ever since you started living with Alejandro, I have noticed that you have some emotions...but that’s okay...it’s good for you…”

“Excuse me…” Anastasia leaves the room. As she walks down the hallway, Anastasia lifts her head. She has a furious expression as she heads to the room.

Darius chuckles; “You noticed it too...right dear?”

“I did but that’s a good thing right?”

“That depends, will she hesitate when I give her the order to kill Alejandro?” Darius begins to chuckle, Olivia looks at the door with a worried expression:

“I wonder if she will be able to obey…”

“That...is something that fate will decide...when the moment arrives, she won’t hesitate and kill Alejandro…”

Anastasia looks at the window as the light of the moon enters the hallway. She begins to think:

“Are these feelings okay? I hope you are alright, Big Brother Alejandro…”
