Bei Kun swallowed his breath as he looked at the lotus before him.

"Finally," mumbled Bei Kun as he took out a jade box from his storage bag and began carefully transplanting the lotus into it, not uttering a word or making any sound as he did so, out of a near of being discovered.

The moment he put the jade box into his storage bag, Bei Kun began traveling in a certain direction with no expression on his face, just as he usually does.

A while later, a white-robed cultivator appeared where the lotus had just been.

"Damn it," shouted Bai Ke as he looked at the empty ground before him, cursing as he did not find any trace of the lotus.

"I will get you, damn shameless scammer," mumbled Bai Ke as he looked at the map in his hands, a lotus inscription could be seen on it.

After throwing the map away, Bai Ke began flying eastwards at a rapid pace before suddenly stopping.

Looking at the cultivator that come from the same direction as him, Bai Ke let out a ruthless palm strike.

An unwilling expression could be seen on Bei Kun's face, but sadly, he could not dodge the powerful attack, having his body destroyed in an instant.

Looking into Bei Kun's storage bag, Bai Ke smiled as he looked at the jade box.

Bei Kun swallowed his breath as he looked at the lotus before him.

After putting into his storage bag, Bei Kun planned on traveling to a eastwards towards a city, but as he prepared to do so, he felt something wrong.

"West is just as good," mumbled Bei Kun as he began traveling westwards, sadly, after only traveling a few li, Bei Kun stood face to face with Bai Ke.

The last thing he would ever see was Bai Ke's approaching palm

Bei Kun felt a bad feeling as he looked at the lotus before him, but still, taking advantage of the opportunity, he swiftly put it in his storage bag before traveling south, completely unaware of Bai Ke, who went eastwards.

"With this I can finally enter the Soul Enlightenment realm," mumbled Bei Kun as he looked at the lotus before him.

Thinking about if he should use the lotus to make some pills, Bei Kun shook his head.

"Those alchemists will rat me out," mumbled Bei Kun as he created a small cave abode for himself.

Several days later,

Feeling that he was nearly in perfect condition, Bei Kun began the final preparations, but suddenly, the restrictions he had put up at the entrance of the cave abode were destroyed.

Three cultivators appeared before Bei Kun, each of them at the peak of the Foundation Establishment realm.

"Bei Kun, give up the lotus and maybe we can spare you," said Xiao Zainan as he looked at Bei Kun.

But before Xiao Zainan could do anything else Bei Kun was already before him, slashing his sword at his neck.

Feeling his sword touch flesh Bei Kun retreated, but sadly an attack from one of the other cultivators managed to slightly injure him.

"Damn it," mumbled Bei Kun as he looked at the three.

For the next half an hour, the three of them wore down Bei Kun, before dealing the finishing blow.

Feeling his condition, Bei Kun frowned.

"I haven't recovered fully, but I can't risk anyone finding me," mumbled Bei Kun as he took the lotus and began searching for his sea of consciousness.

But sadly, with his pitiful talent and without the help of pills, he could not find it, causing the energy from the lotus to begin accumulating in his head without anywhere to go.

Half an hour later,

Bei Kun's now inflated head popped, sending a flurry of blood and flesh toward the walls of the cave.

Bei Kun took a deep breath as he looked at the alchemy building before him, he gritted his teeth as he walked in.

"I need someone to make me a special pill," whispered Bei Kun as approached a female cultivator.

"Understood," said the female cultivator as she took Bei Kun to the second floor.

Several days later,

Bei Kun smiled as he looked at the three pills in his hands.

"Thankfully those alchemists weren't too greedy this time," thought Bei Kun as he thought of some other bad experiences he had with alchemists in the past.

After this, he began secretly traveling to his hotel, completely unaware that he was being followed, but still his secrecy almost managed to cause his pursuers to lose track of him.

A while later,

Bei Kun sat crosslegged with his eyes closed, preparing to take one of the pills, completely unaware of the shadows that had managed to sneak into the room's formations.

Exiting the alchemist shop, Bei Kun began traveling toward his hotel, being completely secretive and managing to make his pursuers loose track of him.

A while later,

As he took one of the pills, a faint feeling emerged in Bei Kun, suddenly, he sensed a small sea inside of his head, at that moment, Bei Kun sent all of the energy of the pill towards the sea, managing to completely subdue it.

In another location,

A majestic middle-aged man, was bowing to an old man

"I need someone who has just broken through to the Soul Enlightenment realm, for this pill to be created," said an old man as he looked at the pill recipe in front of him.

"Understood," said the majestic middle-aged man before disappearing.

As Bei Kun felt the ecstasy of breaking through to the Soul Enlightenenment realm, a large hand suddenly grasped him and tore him away through the void.

Bei Kun swallowed his breath as he looked at the lotus before him, tears then began streaming from his eyes as he let out a despairing shout.

"Why am I so sad," mumbled Bei Kun as more and more despair and confusion filled his eyes, his very soul shaking from the feelings he was feeling right now.
