《Between Reality: G.Y Aspect》104: The Kiss That Shouldn't Have Been

Every Friday evening at Crownzone University was customarily characterized by happy movements in all the hostels in preparation for the weekend.
Lei walked in a slow and stealthy movement inside one of the hostel's rooms through its wide-opened door. Sharon, in the room, noticed him, but Lei gestured at her to be silent. She subtly did so without the best friend's realization.
Lei then slowly got to the lover on the study chair and surprisingly hugged her from behind, "The first thing I always like about this is the smell of your perfume." He adoringly said, "And of course, your reaction, too, when I surprise you."
Katelyn cheerily put her head back on the lover, so close that his face touched her neckline, "I know you like the perfume. That is why I always spray it." She sweetened her tone melodiously.
Lei breathed the perfume on her neck for a long moment, its scent warming his heart "Damn, girl, everything about you is just perfection!"
“And you, too, sweetie,” Katelyn responded in a joyful spirit.
As they continued chatting, Sharon excused herself and left the room.
After she had left, Lei took Katelyn by hand and walked together to her bed, then sat facing each other while holding hands, "You are the reason why I am always happy. You make the best of my moods possible when you gleam and glow in my sight and memory." He looked into her eyes, then cleared his throat, "I want us to talk about something. About lovemaking."
Katelyn's heart sprang nervously and anxiously at the mention of the words. Finally! She had been longing for the subject in the relationship and anticipating it with eagerness. She wanted to bring it up, because she was totally free with the lover and discussed anything on their minds, but a certain conservativeness in her couldn't make it possible. It made her shy and introverted every time she thought of talking about it. And now...

She smiled brightly, "Okay. Let's talk about it."
Her smile made Lei wholly comfortable. He felt totally free and open to discuss all that was in his mind about the topic, "Will you find it okay if we do it?"
Shyness and blush radiated from Katelyn, her heart beating pleasurably, "Yes, I will." She nodded with her smile still palpable.
Lei's heart as well started beating pleasurably and fervidly. He could almost feel an amorous rush of his hormones, "I believe it will be amazing."
"Me, too," Katelyn said and leaned in for a kiss. Lei responded eagerly, their lips locking passionately.
At the female hostel, Diana Dasnania strolled in the wide corridor past hundreds of students busy within. Some stopped looking and admiring her couture fashion statement- a vanilla top with magnesium flower print detail and satin jade nude riding pants with a compelling mixture of dark shadow grey and stone white block heels. The fashion statement was exquisitely impressive.
She continued walking on the wide corridor until she arrived at a room she intended to visit, but suddenly stopped, still as a stone while staring in stupefying wonder inside the room through the widely opened door. The sight inside the room made her feel an unexpected wonder, with disbelief all over her face.
The view of seeing the sister kissing the man she told her about made her gaze in perplexity and confusion. She failed to understand the scenario, but she was one who always comprehended why things happened, and it normally never took her time.
Here she comprehended the scene almost instantly, the reality of it sinking in. It occurred to her painfully and bitterly. The betrayal level before her eyes seemed evident to be of the highest level.
Trying to control herself, she continued to the door and saw the view more clearly. The deep kiss and embraces further wounded her heart. She cursed the awful feeling inside her. Then the focus shifted to the sister, rage replacing the hurt that had filled her heart.

Never in her life had she felt such brutality. She couldn't believe somebody she shared blood with was capable of such a betrayal. Somebody she had grown up with and had sisterly experiences, and as it turned out to be, they were furthermore sisters. Blood sisters. The thought further fueled feelings of bitterness and resentment towards her.
She slowly exhaled, cleared her throat and said Hi- loud enough to get the attention of the two in the room.
Katelyn was the first to stop the kiss, looking in the direction of the door. The sight of the sister instantly surprised and generated guilt in her.
"Sorry for the interruption." Diana said with an air of restrained fury, "But such privacy needs a closed door." She reached for the doorknob and started closing it, but Katelyn hurried to her.
"Diana, wait!" She called out, looking hounded by a pang of overwhelming guilt.
"Diana wait what!" The sister stopped and turned behind, palpitating with rage and wounded sensibility, "What are you going to say?" She snapped, "I am curious, try me!"
Katelyn stared in regretful melancholy, "I wanted to tell you about this!"
"About what!" Diana felt more disgust in seeing the sister's face with what she had just said, "That you kiss him in every chance you get?"
"It is not that, Diana." Lei calmly said behind Katelyn at the door, "It is really not what you think."
"You might be right, Lei." Diana said with an undercurrent of acidity in her tone, "But at least I know one thing. I know who she is!" She said and immediately turned on her heels.
Katelyn called her back but it landed on deaf ears. She remained staring while fighting back tears that threatened to spill in the already teary eyes. The regret, sadness, shame and guilt that emerged from deep within overwhelmed her with an unpleasant and heavy sensation at heart. She never imagined there existed an emotion so traumatizing.
"Oh, God, I should have told her much earlier!" She said with rankling remorse, "She shouldn't have found it like this!"
"It's alright." Lei slowly turned her around and rubbed her teary eyes, "Her reaction is natural. Give her some time to calm, then talk to her."
Katelyn felt a sound relief from the lover's reassurance, even though deep down she was still remorseful of guilt on the unexpected scenario, "Do you think she will understand?" She looked at him with uncertainty.
"She is your sister. Just explain everything as it happened. I am sure she will come to an understanding, eventually." Lei said then hugged her. This time she felt much relieved in the hug.

War of Seasons
Dorothea Atlin is the young, apathetic leader of the neutral territory of Sirpo, a chilly land hovering above the continuously warring factions of Sacer and Ghuria, whose devastating magics have ravaged their people and lands time and time again. Following a shocking attack and a cruel deception, Dorothea grows her conscience and takes up arms, using her self-destructive ability to manipulate the flow of time to ensure Sacer’s victory. Her growing understanding of war and the two factions is guided by Iree Nobelis, the determined and enthralling commander of Sacer’s forces, Ariana Kingfisher, a steely swordswoman of mixed Ghurian and Sacerian descent, and Rhys Tamlin, a kind but haunted soldier who goes to challenge Dorothea’s self-imposed celibacy and join her on a mutual journey of healing from the tragic legacies of the Atlin family and wars between the nations. Meanwhile, Dorothea’s only friend and deserter from the Sacerian military, Shark Olyen, returns to their homeland to face the family that disowned them and finds more than they bargained for in meeting Cerid Creed, a noble whose duty to his people clashes with his desires in romance and in life, much like Shark’s did long before. As their developing or preexisting loves and differing convictions on how to achieve peace create rifts between these major players, Dorothea experiences a personal revolution that leads her to fight for what she believes is right, no matter the cost. A slow-burn story that takes time setting up the psychology and motivations of characters for explosive payoff later down the line.
