《Killing demon as a deity》A true demon

*Present day*
“You served your purpose well Kyosuke but recently- this boy has proven that you just can’t keep up anymore. Consider this your final useful act before dying; I plan to use this quite well!” Demen harnessed a spark of electricity around his fingertips.
“He thought of you as a father…”
Kiramaru walked over to Kyosuke's body and didn’t see any response from him, it looked as if Kyosuke had crossed over and had already died. The smile he had before was tainted and became a bitter frown fixed in place.
Kira grew quiet as he stared at the body. Demen raised his hand to Kira and sighed deeply. “Huff~ Do you expect me to believe that a demon like you can feel something other than greed?”
An orb manifested in the palm of his hand and held it up in front of him; it burst forward causing a pulse of wind behind it as it flew.
The attack collided into Kira and scattered a cloud of dust that hid him from Demen's eyes. As the veil of smoke lifted he widened his eyes after seeing that Kira had not budged an inch from where he stood.
Not only had he not moved at all, he hadn’t even turned his attention away from Kyosuke's body. The attack had definitely caused damage which was seen from the burn marks and scratches on his clothing.
‘What's going on here, I definitely made contact didn’t I?’ Demen pondered while examining his hand.
“Do you even care- do you feel anything for the people that you use and toss aside?” Kira snapped towards Demen.
A faint flicker of an ember sparked around the right corner of his scowl, Kira then stepped forward to Demen and ripped his sword from the hilt.

“You’re too weak to fight, it’s useless-”
Before Demen could finish his thought he was blown back by a downward slash, Kira delivered it with a heavy motion and blew a chunk of the dirt away.
“He looks so angry…” Arisa muttered.
With each wave and strike from his blade, a powerful fire followed with it and was able to push Demen back.
“You’re getting angry- good! Just a little more and you’ll show us what you truly are.”
Demen raised both hands and created a collection of orbs around him that spun around him like a ring. With a flick of his wrist they responded swiftly and rushed towards Kira but he charged at them with full force.
Kira forced his sword through them and managed to cut through 3 before the explosions set off. The resulting impact was enough to flatten a boulder but Kira pressed on.
Even with large explosions crashing against his face and body he didn’t flinch, he only pressed forward.
He pushed forward through the smoke and slashed the floating orbs with a chain of attacks and moves.
“Scorch wheel- Midnight slash! Midnight- ack!” He cried.
He cut down most of the orbs but suddenly felt a sharp pain rush through his muscles like tiny needles were stabbing him from every portion of his body. It made it difficult to move and slowed down his movement until the flames around his sword disappeared.
‘My healing talisman only lifted the effects of fatigue and physical problems, cant he see that he is reaching mana limit?!’ Arisa worried.
She called out to Kira with a loud shriek. “Don’t do it, if you keep using your mana so heavily you’ll cripple your body!”
Kira gripped tighter around his swords hilt and buried his feet into the ground, the air around him started to warm up and shake erratically.

Kira's eyes darkened and even his crimson Iris’s began to brighten. ‘What is she saying- I can’t hear her….anything! I can’t hear- kill. I must kill this bastard, nothing else matters! KILL HIM.’
His thoughts began to cloud up with a heavy smoke which blocked out his senses, in little to no time the only thing he could see and feel was the enemy ahead of him. The target of his hatred was what stood between him and everything else.
The faint flickers around his cheek sparked rapidly and spread across his face into a mask of flames. The entire right side of Kira's face up to the roots of his hair were covered, even his arm had been engrossed in a deep black flame. The waves of heat that radiated off of him managed to reach Arisa even though she stood quite a distance from him.
“Those flames are so hot that I can’t even get closer than this, it’s so intense. Has he really crossed over?”
Demen cut through the heat and unleashed a powerful punch towards Kira that separated the fire around him.
“There we go- yes yes!! Now you look like a proper demon!” Demen laughed.
Kira rushed forward and the flames over his arm spread throughout his sword, engulfing it with fire. He shot across the area pushing Demen back with him and forced him down against the ground. Kira's moves had no trace of sword skill or form, he was simply moving off wild instinct.
Demen let off a burst of wind that forced Kira off of him but as soon as he landed he pounced forward again.
Kira mindlessly swung his sword with a desperate chain of swings but Demen dodged before the attacks could connect; the spot where he dodged from was blown away by the repetitive blows and broke up pieces of solid earth.
Demen leapt back and summoned a large bolt of lightning through the air at Kira, it blasted against him and sent his body flying back into the wall.
The last remainders of the wall had crumbled to the ground and reduced to flaming scraps and chunks of wood.
Like a wild beast, he hopped back onto his feet and darted forward head first. Demen floated up to the air and summoned more orbs to rain down on the area. Kira lowered his body as if he were about to jump and then vanished out of sight.
As the orbs formed around him, he caught sight of Kira in the corner of his eye hunched over his shoulder. His gleaming eye pierced through the darkness of the flame and paralysed Demen with fear.
‘He is only a demon…yet for some reason he looks- he looks like an endless pool of flames…?’
Kira drove his sword into Demen's back and blasted him down into the ground causing a split in the ground. A flare of fire followed the impact and set the ground ablaze, spreading through the wrecked trees and rubble until the entire area was nearly engulfed.
“You brat- how dare you hit a god!”
Kira released a heavy cry that shook the area and lifted stones. Arisa gripped nervously on her collar as she watched Kira. “Kira…how could I even begin to take away that anger?”

Smoking Bandits
With a gaze that was hard to describe, Lark stared at his body in the mirror. Not his body as a human, but his other body. Head of a reptile with rows of sharp teeth, a 180 cm tall body that is full of muscles, covered in scales formed green and black tiger stripes. Clawed hands and feet, with a tail strong enough to crush an adult neck. 'Man. . . can I still be called a human?' In the end, with a deep sigh Lark changed his form back into a human. A moment later, he came out of the room wearing a combat dress, tactical belt with shoulder strap, and jungle boots. While inserting a magazine into an AK-102, Lark muttered. 'Whatever, time to hunt Orcs.' *****
