《Killing demon as a deity》Perfect Weapon

The centipede raised its head above the sand and shook its body with a rapid motion like it was vibrating. Large amounts of sand fell out from the crevices and gaps between its body, which covered the area in a thick layer of yellow sand.
Demen was caught up to his elbows in no time, unable to move. The more he struggled the further his body sunk down.
Kyosuke struggled a bit but because of his small size he was able to wiggle his way out and popped out the top. As he clawed his way from the bottom of the sand he noticed a long poll sticking out beside him.
‘Isn't this the spear that the old man used, did it get knocked away after that hit?’ Kyosuke examined.
The shifting sand caused the spear to sink down rapidly into the sand and out of sight. Kyosuke panicked for a moment and grabbed the shaft of the spears end, he tugged as hard as he could and barely lifted it out.
The centipede still had its attention towards Demen and looked as if it were about to charge again, it raised its body into an arch and then shot its weight forward.
Both pincers were stretched out with a string of saliva crossing from both ends of its mouth.
“Dad always helped me…he will save me from- why isn't he here….?”
A frightened looked filled Kyosuke's eyes as he watched the centipede slither towards Demen who was trapped up to his shoulders in sand.
His grip tightened around the spear, it resonated a bright white light in return that caught his attention. Kyosuke was enthralled by the graceful light shining from his hands and couldn't think of anything nearly as pretty.
“…What do you think you’re doing- you FUCKING bug!” Kyosuke raised the spear over his shoulder and widened his stance to a massive degree.

To that day he had been in plenty of fights but Kyosuke had never touched a weapon before, for some unknown reason it came to him naturally and he knew exactly what to do.
He threw the spear and its speed broke through the air, causing a trail of air to follow behind it. The centipede approached towards Demen with a hasty movement but moments before it could reach him, the spear collided against its face and burst out the other side of its head.
The torn pincer of the side of its face fell off and caused a spurt of purple blood to shoot out and cover the area to its side.
Kyosuke stood under a rain of blood and gazed into its collection of eyes. The centipede was still up but it definitely wasn’t moving like it had before, it was collapsing over onto its sides with every move.
“What the-”
The massive hole in the side of its head stitched itself closed at an abnormal rate, and sealed itself up completely. Even with the hole gone, the massive pincer that lied in the sand didn’t grow back.
“If you won’t die then I just get to kill you a few more times.” Kyosuke scowled.
The demons eyes let off a bright crimson glow as it opened its mouth with a wide screech, paralysing him on the spot.
The muscles in his body were stiff as a board and weren't responding to what he wanted at all. The centipede dove under the sand which pushed back a tsunami-like wave of sand that crashed into Kyosuke like a wall.
He tumbled backwards with a layer of sand covering over him and then felt an intense rumble from underneath the ground.
“Shit- Why won’t my body mo-” He panicked.
The centipede crashed out the ground and sent him flying into the air along with it, by the time that he realised what had happened he was already falling down.

The centipede unhinged its terrifying jaws and waited for Kyosuke to fall helplessly into its stomach.
Spurts of sand shot up from the ground as Demen climbed out of the sand and ran away from the towering centipede.
‘He is alive...So he’s running away in the end huh? I suppose there really isn't anyone good in this world then is there?’ Kyosuke thought as he fell further towards the eerie abyss beneath him.
Kyosuke closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable death he knew was coming when a sharp crackling sound pierced his ears. He scrunched his face and opened an eye to see a bright light emanating from the spear in Demen's hand.
His robes were loosened a bit and revealed the large crest on chest that brimmed with an intense purple light.
The spear responded to its power by surrounding itself with purple lightening that struck the sand and rocks around him. It resembled a tool of chaos that a warrior of the gods might use.
Demen circled in place and then launched the spear ahead into the head of the Centipede. The spear travelled through the air at an unimaginable speed that not even Kyosuke was fully able to keep up with.
With a sudden flash of light the centipede crashed to the side and the spear shot out from the other end of its head. The impact of the thundering crash caused it to spin widely into the air where he caught it.
Demen grinned with a malevolent smile as Kyosuke drove the spear downwards into the collapsed Demon, causing a loud burst of energy to sweep through the area and blow the residual sand away.
The intense blow against the ground from the centipede’s bloodied body caused a wave of sand to blow out into waves. As it was about to slam against Demen, the sand faded away along with the centipedes body.
Kyosuke walked up to Demen and handed him the spear, he had a serious expression on his face that didn’t seem at all like it was before. The angry, angst nature that made him a child was erased and now seemingly replaced by a more serious aura.
“So why didn’t you run when I told you to, if that thing killed you then you would never have been able to meet your father again?”
Kyosuke glared at him with a chilling scowl as he spoke out. “A coward like him who is willing to send someone else to save his family and run away- someone like that has already died along with the others.”
Demen nodded along and walked ahead of him with his arm around Kyosuke's shoulder. He concealed his grin as he stared down to Kyosuke's expression.
“I have found myself an excellent weapon.”
