《Between Reality: G.Y Aspect》100: Where Is Mum

Michael sat in a figure four posture in the Waiting Wing of the school while on his phone. He had been waiting for the school bell to ring for twenty minutes. When he was bored with the phone, he put it away in his jacket and started looking around the school compound.

Almost immediately, memories of the school came to him. He was a young little boy when he was at the school. He remembered the first day his mother brought him. She put him here, in a place of the unknown, and left him. He remembered crying out loud seeing the mother walking away and leaving him with strangers, people totally new to him.

He had felt awful. The memories came vividly as he still looked around, then shook his head while smiling nostalgically. Back then he couldn't have understood. But he understood now. He understood that the mother felt awful more than he did.

He imagined how difficult it was to leave your firstborn toddler in a new environment and leaving him crying behind your back. It must have been a terrible feeling to her. Surely mothers pass through great emotions and feelings more than all the rest.

Finally, the school bell rang, indicating the day's end work. Children started emerging from their classes while walking and running to the Waiting Wing, and others to the school buses.

Every day at this time, Nincy and Nancy twins always knew that it was their mother who picked them up, and now as they ran to the Waiting Area, they got surprised upon seeing their elder brother.

"Hallo, pumpkins." Michael happily started as the twins approached him, "Hope your day was good?"

But the twins didn't return greetings.

"Where is mum?" Nincy demanded, as if the change of the program seemed openly odd.

"Yes, where is mum?" Nancy demanded as well.

"God, you two!" Michael stared at them, "Mum is at home. I was free and volunteered to pick you up."

"You never pick us up." Nincy said.

"Yes, you only bring us." The other twin as well alleged, "You have never picked us up."

"That is because I am always busy. Now, give me your backpacks."

The twins did what they were told and walked with their brother to the parking lot. At the parking lot, they got to their car and Michael opened the rear passenger door and let them in. He then entered the car and looked at the young girls through the rearview mirror, "I am not seeing anybody putting on the safety belts."

The girls quickly reached for their safety belts.

"Good." Michael smiled, still looking at them through the rearview mirror, "Now, today happens to be your lucky day. Mention anywhere you would like to go before we get home."

"Anywhere!" Nincy's eyes popped out with delight.

"Absolutely anywhere." Michael started the car's ignition.

"Let us get ice cream at the IF Café." Nancy quickly said.

"He said anywhere!" The other twin differed, "Let us go to Paradise Fun and get anything we want!"

"Or Village Market!"

"Hey, hey, girls." Michael stopped them, "One miracle at a time. Let us go to Village Market."

"Okay!" Both the twins shouted in unison as their brother started driving away, their faces showing great delight.
