Katherine arrived at the lover's private residence and the first view she came across at the entrance balcony crushed her heart. This was the very first experience she was having of heartbreak, and the pain inwardly, never known to her, was immense. She never imagined such a level of pain could be possible.

She saw the man that she deeply loved holding and laughing with another woman, a scenario that was meant to be only between the two of them. She remembered the amazing moments she had shared with the man. Memories that without a doubt would leave indelible marks in her mind. She was sure the memories would never evade her thoughts, no matter what happened. They were wonderful and great. He made her happy in all areas of love, and she enjoyed his company more than anything else.

Still with immense pain in her, she continued where the lover and Belinda were. Symon was the first to notice her. His heart changed rhythm, beating with a combination of anxiety and a faint sense of compunction, as he watched her approach.

"Hi, Symon." Katherine got to them and calmly started, paying attention only to the man, "Can we have a minute?"

Deeply inside him, Symon felt her remorseful tone and pitiful figure that clearly looked to be weighed by guilt and regret. It occurred strangely, as if they were internally connected. But before he spoke, Belinda did.

"Kath, can't you see we are busy?"

Katherine used her entire energy to try and ignore the woman. She maintained her attention at the man, "Just a minute, Symon."

The feeling inside Symon intensified, not knowing that he could again feel this strongly towards her. He sighed, forcing himself, "Make it fast. You heard Belinda. We are busy."

The words penetrated inside Katherine's heart with a fierce pain, and it became impossible to suppress it, "Can we be alone?" She said with a painful palpable face.

"Katherine, just accept it's over!" Belinda curtly said, "You are not true to Symon, you have never been. Just let him be happy!"

Katherine turned to her, seething in anger and balanced tears at the same time, "So, you are going to make him happy? You are just full of lies, and lies never make one happy!"

Belinda faked a chuckle, "I am full of lies? You have been proudly saying that he is your man and yet you can't give him what men crave for. That is what a woman should do to make her man happy. If a woman loves a man, like you have been claiming you love him, this shouldn't even be an issue. But you have made it a big issue until Symon is stressed about it. So, you tell me between the two of us who is a liar!"

The words painfully sank inside Katherine's heart with disheartening fact. It made her unsure if the enemy was actually right, and it made her doubt if she truly loved Symon or loved him enough. If she did, it made her again and again wonder why her body was repulsive to the man. Why she couldn't make him happy. Why she couldn't give him what men crave for. This brought about a painful thought flooding in her mind, making her head spin in stupor and despair.

"It is now open, Katherine. You approached Symon with intentions." Belinda disdainfully continued, "You saw the advantage in his public figure and wanted to use it for your own benefits. I will not allow that anymore!"

"You would believe this, Symon!" Katherine turned back to the man, a sad and almost tearful inquiry dwelling in her face.

"What choice do I have if you have been proving it?" Symon found motivation to speak after Belinda's logical point of view, "I loved you with complete trust. That is true love. But you don't trust me. You don't feel I can protect you if anything ever happens. Once you feel that I am not capable of that, then that is not true love."

The words left Katherine speechless as tears began to mist her eyes. The feeling inside her heart was almost unbearable, explosive, and she began to think if she should just walk away.

"Now, what did you come here to do?" Symon spoke on, her silence motivating him further to speak his mind, "Make empty promises just so to have the best out of me? I can't even believe you would do this to me! After all I have done and provided for you. I treated you like the best woman in the world, but all along you were just in to have the best part of me!" His thoughts suddenly frustrated him, "Just forget about me, because the benefits you have had are enough. Right now I want a woman who loves me for who I am, not what I am. Just go, Kath!"

The tears had covered Katherine's eyes and now they fell freely. The thought that she could not have the lover of her life back exploded the painful feeling inside her, seemingly tearing at her soul. It is over! She was unable to bear it, and it made her slowly turn and start walking away, silently weeping.
