History of the Sky

Yuri’s part (lvl 67 Assassin, Prince of the Sky s/h)

“So why did he try to kill you?” Melarie asks. Then adds, “Plus what does not being prince of the Country in the Sky mean to you?”

“Well, that leads to the history of the Sky and one of my superclasses, Prince of the Sky.”

“Whoa? Prince of the Sky? What does it do?” she asks in wonder.

“I will tell you the history first, and explain the class accordingly.”

“History of the Sky goes back to year 379. As the First state recedes from the rest of the world and goes into sentinel and changes to sentinel republic in the grounds, the country in the sky was basically cut from the rest of the world so the First State failed to occupy it. It is unknown if the native population came from the ground at some point of the past or they came to existence in the sky. Whatever were the case at year 379, sky was composed of 45% fisherins, 38% dinsks, and 17% rest.”

“Huh? 17% rest? That’s more than I thought.” said Jaystyke.

“Yes, listen on. So at year 379, some of the dinsks and few other rest people created the Illirian Superstate. In response, fisherins and the rest of the dinsks have each created Hydria Republic and Skyian Ultimate. Through constant wars, Skyian Ultimate had fallen by the year 532. Since then Battle between Dinsks and Fisherins got very fierce. We call this the Race Wars. By 588, Hydria Republic, the country of the fisherins had fallen by Illirian superstate. The cost of this was intense. Most of the fisherins had become the slave of the dinsks. Since then, there were many happenings of rallies and seperation movements by the fisherin slaves, but it failed to succeed. Then at the Year 632, the king of the Illirian superstate massacred the people who weren’t dinsks nor fisherins. Earlier that year, the king tried to pass the law that would enslave all the races in the Sky except for the dinsks, however few of the other races were in high positions and tried to otherthrow the king. So the king decided to kill all the other races. About 130K people, about 70% of population of other race at the time die from this massacre. Many of the fisherins, other race and even some of the dinsks weren’t happy about the outcomes. Year 635, they created Republic of Sky in what is now known as the Castle in the sky. They built that castle after the first victory against the Illirian superstate. This 2 country continued to co-exist until year 866. Republic of the Sky had liberal and democratic government and the free market from the free market’s act of 700. What was an economical experiment at the start, began to develop Republic of the Sky into country with advanced industry and economy. At the point of 866, Republic of Sky absorbed Illirian superstate not with a war, but with an economical superiority. That was the time that slavery in the Sky had completely disappeared. Or so people thought. In 1378 the Alcanine of the Halicy and the Waterian Opalphate rose, creating a new era of 3 countries fighting against each other. Alcanine of the Halicy and the Waterian Opalphate were racial separatists from each Dinsks and the Fisherins. Alcanine of the Halicy had a decisive victory over Waterian Opalphate in 1393, and managed to almost destroy Waterian Opalphate. At this point, Alcanine of the Halicy had about 58% of the Sky island’s land and 44% of the population, while Republic of Sky with 40% of the lands and 45% of the population, and Waterian Opalphate with only 2% of the lands and 9% of the population. Waterian Opalphate soon got obsorbed to Republic of Sky for protection in 1399. The Dual rule era lasted until 1530. Until the sky island broke into 7 houses all with different values. This is called the 7 house era. House Delaphate, House Caily, House Skyian, House Cauylin, House Justice, House Waterian, and House Alcacy. This lasted until 1673, when the House Justice, House Skyian and House Cauylin united to pressure the House Waterian to fall. Then they conquered the rest of the houses and created the United Houses of Sky. This lasted until 1811 when the house politics gave away to common democracy and the Country in the Sky was formed. Since then there were many small and big changes but the Country in the Sky stands firm and strong.”

“Strong… Until right now I guess?” I ask.

“Umm… yes, it’s in some chaos right now.”

“What’s with all the house things though? Aren’t houses simply just a club that you can join and leave?” Renova asks.

“That is the case for most of the places today, however back in the days of 7 House Era and United House of Sky Era, in the Sky regions, the House were very hard things to get accepted into and forbidden to leave. It was a very strict social bond of people.”

“Wait, you said the Country in the Sky is democratic right now, then how are you a prince?”

“So, Country in the Sky has a royal group for each major house. Since there are 3 major houses that survived, there are 3 kings/queens and many princes/princesses. They have very few say in politics though, with mostly symbolic reasons for existence. However, one of my brothers decided to end that I guess.”

A few moments of silence. Then Yuri opens his mouth again,

“So, Prince of the Sky is a class exclusive for princes of the sky. It usually has skills and boosts that enable sub-flying abilities and orderly enchantment. Skills like ‘Sky-Soar’, ‘Order of the Sky’, and ‘Justic Slash’. However I can’t progress in this class until I get my prince reputation back.”

“Looks like you have many reasons to overthrow your brother,” I comment.

“Yes, I want the democratic country in the Sky back again, too.”
