《The Legacy of Gilgamesh》Chapter 6 The Three Great Clans

The Amazon rainforest comes to mind when one first sees the Cradle, yet that description does not do it justice. It should be referred to as evergreens, an untamed forest.
It seemed that the world had grown by 200 meters to a diameter of 1,200 meters. "My God," Rico said in awe.
The sky appeared to be more vivid, and the air seemed to be fresher. The Cradle Record states that numerous insects and plants have perished during the past 1,800 years.
The World Source has only slightly increased. The cause is that just 0.0100 ounces of mana were produced by ants, earthworms, and mosquitoes over the last 1800 years. Calling this energy mana was plain insulting to Mana. Rico decided to refer to it as soul energy.
He continues watching the record. It took the plants and animals in the Cradle 50 years to proliferate and cover the entire area. After fifty years, the world began to accumulate soul energy as the first generation of plants and animals began passing away from old age.
The creatures of the Cradle essentially enjoy a long lifespan thanks to the soul energy.
Consider the Earth ant as an example. The majority of ants only have a lifetime of one to two years, but the ants in the Cradle have been affected by soul energy, allowing them to live for 50 years—more than the average lifespan. It's frightful. the Insect lifespans of the second generation, however, were shorter; in essence, they can only survive for 10 years. Because the previous generation used up all the mana, which was later turned into soul energy after they died. Which was more in quantity but lower quality.
After they reached the age of 50, the insects started to die off one by one, substantially increasing the soul energy. And now, 1800 years later, the Cradle is home to a wide variety of plants and insects. The earthworms, ants, were initially equal opponents in terms of power, but after the first generation, their progeny weakened.

The mosquitoes found it simpler to hunt ants and earthworms as a result. While it's true that these ants, mosquitoes, and earthworms lack considerable intelligence, they are still significantly more intelligent than creatures from Earth and are aware of their enemies. Currently, they are in a state of equilibrium.
They have been hunting each other for ages, and if nothing changes, they will do so for millennia to come. Rico dubbed them the Three Great Clans of Insects.
Even the Three Great Clans, who had the largest population, couldn't feed themselves on the land's 1,000 square meter radius. The size of ants has increased to ten centimetres after hundreds of years of development, and the size of mosquitoes has increased to 10 centimetres as well. The earthworms in the soil are one of the largest in the Cradle and are around three meters long.
Rico's data from the logs indicate that there are over 30,000 mosquitoes. likewise, 70,000 ants. There are 10,000 earthworms overall. With alot more plants, but they cannot supply source energy. Until they evolve, but that require mana.
Because the strengths of these three species groupings are not significantly different, they cohabit happily, which implies that few, if any, critters perish. In such a case, the Cradle's growth will be stalled. Only through destruction can new life be welcomed, allowing for the reaping of soul energy and growth of his understanding of the disk world.
Rico got an idea while thinking about this, which was to incite conflict amongst them. If it still doesn't work, he'll act on his own, exterminating them with a thought and then introducing a fresh round of trial subjects. Their existence had no value to him; after all, they were simply insects.
Ants, mosquitoes, and earthworms have all undergone carnivore evolution. The stirring of conflict between them is simple. For instance, if you arrange bait in a set location, they will undoubtedly fight over it.

Rico acted. He quickly left to purchase meat, including chicken, beef, hog, and lamb. He spent ten minutes on the road, taking his Bugatti for a spin, before arriving at the destination. He spent close to €3000 on hundreds of kilograms of pork, 500 kilograms of beef, hundreds of kilograms of chickens and a few others for himself.
He had saved for years, and he had a solid 2,000 000 euros in the bank.
The butcher gave the two staff orders, and they promptly loaded the meat onto the delivery vehicle that would take it to his villa. Rico received a puzzled glance from the meat vendor, but he asked no questions; the money had already been sent, so do as you like.
As soon as he got home, he organized the fresh meat into a sizable freezer before placing more than 100 kilograms of beef in the middle of the Cradle, the area separating the Three Great Clans.
Fresh meat has a very powerful fragrance. The Three Clan rapidly detects the blood in a one-kilometre radius. and then inevitably headed in the direction of the smell.
There are a lot of mosquitos in the sky, each one roughly the size of a fist, and they're all focused on the beef below.
However, those mosquitoes were not careless, since there was a large ant swarm on the ground beside the beef, and they, too, were carefully inspecting the 100 kg of beef.
At this moment, the soil began to rise, and a dozen or more earthworms measuring two meters long were drilled out from the ground. They look more like snakes than earthworms. Because there are so few of them, becoming one of the Cradle's hegemons would be tough if they weren't all fairly enormous.
The earthworms on the ground disregarded the ants and mosquitoes and went straight for the beef. The earthworm decided to attack first when they noticed the mosquitoes and ants had arrived before them
