《House Of Omen: Indomitable Oathbreaker》Finding Balance

Katya and the Dean came to an interesting conclusion. They both looked at each other. The dean then said, "Katya, this stays between you and I, go and delete this footage and make sure no one else knows."
Katya bowed and briskly walked out. The dean had a bi beautiful corner office with a nice view of the school. She held her hands behind her back and thought, "I thought the boy was a coward, does he not know that doing this will put his life at risk. Not to mention that Ro agreed to take the boy personally. Old man, you move quickly, to think that Ro was in your camp all along. How many talents are under your thumb."
…
The shuttle had alread entered Sahid and was on its way to its destination, which so happened to be on the opposite side of the city.
"That's the plan, can you do it young blood?" asked Ro with squinted eyes. Darius nodded, "Cowards make good actors. This won't be hard. To be honest this isn't really acting for me."
"Righteous." said Ro whilst bobbing his head up and down.
Ro stopped his bobbing and looked at Darius with a critical eye and said, "You be a p*ssy boy. This would add more danger to ya life. Why da fuk would you do this?"
Darius leaned back and said with a serious tone., "Yes doing these will plunge me in dangerous situations on a nearly dangerous situation, but it also has its perks. I don't much about cultivating to higher realms, but the old man stressed that no strength is more important than my own, this will allow to become stronger faster. As for the threats to my life, I doubt they would really be threats, unless its that easy to kill an Honor SpiritKnight."
Ro was impressed. He knew the boy was strong but honor? Even for Ro that was only possible in the second form. The average Honor Spiritknight reaches Honour at 4th form.
Ro instantly understood. The situations the boy would face would be dangerous for rookies but not an Honour powerhouse.
"The second reason that I want to do this is the man power. I want to create an army of my own without interference from local noble squabbles."
Ro pointed his pipe and nodded, "Dat's why I n' I joined as well. But such perks only come at my ranks, it will take a while for dat to happen, unless you have the balls to push the envelope."

Darius sighed and thought. He needed power, but he had to risk his life for that power. Risk and power on a scale. There had to be a balance.
….
Education was standardized all over the continent. Those who could not spiritual essence were reffered to as mortals. Mortal education happened from year 1 to year 12. Year 12 was called the advanced year. It was hard to the point that only the smat could do it. And even then 3 subjects was enough. But some of the smarter studens, like Darius, could push the envelope and pick 5. Maths, Biology, chemistry, Physics and Geography. The highest grade one could achieve was A and Darius had 5 A's.
To the average mortal this was incredible. They would then try and get a scholarship from universities in big villages or small towns! Darius refused such a life. He studied Geography to increase his understanding of the world along with the sciences. His education only furthered his resolve to go to Sahid.
Darius lived in a big orphanage with hundreds of children but he was the only one who had seen a spirit. Only fighters could see a spirit up close. Scenarios were one would make it just in time were incredibly rare. Usually spirits destroyed vallaged and towns before help came and ran.
Darius remembered the Serpentis. Those dead hollow eyes. Even as a corpse it made his skin crawl. He rememebred the hundreds of spirit corpses he saw as he left his house as a child. Fear struck him from all directions and he blacked out. That's why he made a decision. He would only live in a Walled City!
Walled Cities were the highest level of city in terms of size and infrastructure. The amount of times that spirits had overcome a walled city in a hundred years could be counted on one hand. So Darius made his choice. There was only one problem. To even be a citizen of such a city, you had to be able to use spiritual essence! Mortals didn't count as real citizens and had statuses no diffrent to slaves.
Despite this, just for the safety of the walls, many mortals flooded the Walled Cities. Most cities were made up of mortals, after all someone had to do the jobs the others did not want to do.
As Darius pondred on all these things, the shuttle arrived at its destination in a large space.

"We have arrived."
Ja Mun Ro stood up and Darius stood up to follow him. As they walked out, Darius was stunned. What he was looking at subverted his understanding of the term 'syscrapper'. This wasn't a building, it was a broadsword, pointing into the skies, going further than he could see.
There were many ships that were around theirs. The plan was already in motion. Ro's visage disappeared while Darius bobbled around like a fool. There were other buildings around, but they were just normal buildings with 3 or four floors but they were ants worshiping a giraffe.
Darius stumbled toward the building, not masking his shock at all. As he got closer he started to see the windows and floors, but the shape was incredibly brilliant. The bottom had many shuttles with sirens dropping and bringing criminals and the like. Many uniformed officers enetered while ordinary civilians eneterd and left as well. Quite a few people were stunned like Darius leaving the landing grounds, so Darius did not stand out. Darius slapped his cheeks and focused. This had to go the way he wanted it to.
…
In a corner office high up, two individuals were having a conversation. They wore the same uniform with a few differences here and there. One of them was a giant burly man with beard covering his face. His hair was already white but he had the vitality of an oxen. Just a single puff of his nostrils could cause mist to permeate the room.
The other was a burning beauty. She had long raid hair which tailed off to the ground and coiled like a weary red snake. Her breasts, hips and buttocks were of incredibly large proportions while her waist was as slim as a cobra's.
Their uniform was had a black base with silver insignia attached all over their uniforms. They man had far more insignia and exuded power while the red haired black skinned beaty leaned on one of the glass panes.
"This Ro is a pain in my ass. He hasn't done shit. All he has done has been to flirt with receptionists for over an hour!"
The burly man slammed the table in anger. "Colonel, please calm down, there is nothing we can do. His rank is even higher than mine. We can't kick him out of the building. Like I said, lets wait for him to take action. The Dean had a serious tone in her instructions. You might be able to rebuke her but I am but an ant. So please put effort in this please?" The red haired beauty leaned forward, causing the Colonel to slow down a bit and stare.
The Colonel took out a cigar and said, "This is why I hate you Orions. You always sneak around. Bunch of pussies. If we did things my way, this could have been finished days ago."
The Colonel took out a piece of freshly cooked chicken out of his drawer and ate it as if it was the normal thing in the world. He pointed his drumstick at her and said, "That's your problem Carmen, you think you are shit just because your hot and talented. There is a sky above every sky. My advice is that you crush this sky before it envelopes you."
The Colonel pointed at one of the screens on the side showing Ja Mun Ro at work. Carmen gazed at Ro with intense passion. The question was what would happen to the target. Would he freeze, or would he burn?
The Colonel instantly felt the room temperature go up a lot as Carmen starred at Ro's image.
Bang!
A cooling gust of wind followed the noise and brought the room back to normal. Carmen looked at the Colonel while he munched his meat like a baffoon but she admired him.
That 'bang' was one of his fingers tapping the table, releasing a cooling gust of spiritual essence. What was even more impressive was the fact that the room temperature was now exactly like before. Carmen reminded herself as to why even the Dean was wary of this man. Colonel was far too low for him and everyone knew it. But the man in question didn't give a squat.
Carmen returned herself and looked at the screen, focusing on Ro. "What did he want?"
