《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 193

On the north of Guburg's territory in Orixe was the Rhanan province. The Yellow Blood family governed this area with the help of its five subordinate families and some individuals.
Even though the Rhanan province wasn't wealthy, the Yellow Blood family still managed to amass enough influence and power so any other family wouldn't challenge their rule.
Their main base was a fortress in the middle of their territory that shared the name with the family.
Multiple walls in the Yellow Blood fortress separated it into various areas.
The outer area was the residence of the commoners and outsiders. It also had some workshops and storage for regular items and goods.
The second area was the residence of the less important members of the families. Those that weren't cultivators and whose descendants would be out of the family in a generation or two.
Although there wasn't a lot of luxury in this area, its residents still had the privilege of not having to work to sustain themselves, as the fortress would give them anything they might need.
The third area was the residence of the five subordinate families. Because of who they were, almost all residents of this area had cultivated, to a certain extent, with only the small children being commoners.
Because they were the first line of defense for the Yellow Blood family, they enjoyed luxuries and privileges that commoners couldn't even dream about, such as energy-infused materials or cultivation techniques.
A significant part of the Yellow blood family's military power would come out of this area, as the five subordinate families would train loyal soldiers and guards to serve under them in the future.
And finally, in the inner area of the fortress resided the Yellow Blood family and its most loyal servants.
Most people living in the fortress would not even put their foot in this area for their whole lives, as no one was allowed to enter a higher section than their own without reason and permit.

While living in great luxury, the residents of the inner area would have access to an ample storage of cultivation resources so they could focus on their cultivation and nothing else.
With all this, it wasn't weird for those in the inner areas to mistreat and abuse those below. While adults did it more subtly, it wasn't the same for the children and early teenagers that still had to learn how to behave and abuse their privileges to do whatever they wanted.
One day like every other one, one of those situations happened again.
Four kids run while chasing another one across the second area from one end to another. Even though some people saw this happening, no one dared to interfere.
"Stop wasting your energy! You are just delaying the inevitable!" one of the kids shouted.
Hearing those words, the escaping kid felt a shiver run through his spine. With adrenaline flowing through his veins, he began to give his all in the escape.
Sadly for him, his speed was meaningless against a cultivator's body, even a low-stage one.
With a tug on his shirt's collar, one of his chasers manages to unbalance him, causing him to fall to the ground.
Before he could even react, two kids grabbed his arms while the other did the same with the legs.
"I'm losing patience with you already, Xan. I thought that you would have accepted your role as a training dummy at this point, but I would have to teach you a lesson." The bullies' leader said as he rolled up his sleeves.
Without hesitation, he repeatedly punched the other kid's stomach.
"This pig should think that he is important because he shares some blood with the young master." One of the bullies said while bursting into laughter.

"Maybe we should send him with the whore of his mother." Another said as a cold smile appeared on his face.
After those words, the punches stopped, and the one hitting opened his eyes wide open before a broad smile appeared on his face.
"Don't worry, half-brother. I will not kill you today. That would be a waste. I will keep you alive so you can still work as my training dummy when I become the head of the Yellow Blood family." The bullies' leader whispered into the boy's ear.
Hearing that, the kid tried to release himself from the grasp of his captors, but his strength wasn't enough.
As the beaten was about to continue, the kids heard a voice from the side.
"You, punks. Stop that already!" An elderly man shouted from the side.
As he walked as fast as his legs and cane allowed, the man neared the kids while shaking his fist.
"Fuck, that senile old man again." The bullies' leader cursed before looking at the kid again. "Don't you think this is over. Next time, we will continue from where we are right now."

One to wander the realm in search of power, to protect themselves and what they believe in. They know their path to be the only one. Writers note: The first chapter will set the standard in terms of mood for the remainder of the story. It also comes to no surprise to me that half the people who read the first part stop reading any further. It has quite a bit of the good ‘ol ‘ultra-violence’ mixed with a great deal of realism. As much as I could fit into it from my own knowledge and experience in the elite forces. The first few chapters will be slow, after, but starting from ‘Restless Destroyer’ the remainder of the world will start to open up, and when we hit ‘Adronitis’ the prologue is largely finished. The novel is well thought out and filled with hidden lore, culture, history. So even if my word choice appears random – it’s not. There is a reason why these chapters take as long as they do. Vermodalen is fantasy adventure, with magic and heroics in an as realistic setting as I could fit. Things are rarely what they seem, and the ugly nature of people bleed through the letters at the turn of every page. I hope you can give this story a fair chance, even if it isn’t immediately to your taste. Lastly, english isn't my first language. It isn't my second one either. So, if you find errors in grammer and spelling, wordplay and sentance building, do let me know, and you will be rewarded by a surge of dopamine that will be released inside your brain for helping someone whom you haven't even seen or heard.

Midnight Origins: Arrival
On a lush planet known as Bhar, Verun is now the leading nation in the development of the rivaled schools of Magic and Science. Having brought forth an era of peace and prosperity for themselves through the development of Magitech, The High council was eager to spread their knowledge and beliefs to the furthest reaches of the continent, with the goal of ending senseless conflicts and prioritizing advancements in Magitech and improving the quality of life. This ambition, however, is not without opposition. Most followers side with one school or another, believing it is superior in nature. This conflict dates back to the very beginning of civilization itself, where it is believed by both sides that their gods descended from the heavens, bestowing upon them the knowledge that would bring the world into a new age. And though some took great interest in their differences, others would seek to convert each other through any means necessary. That being the case, The High council, leaders of Verun, had made the necessary preparations to handle threats and attempt diplomacy between the remaining opposers. Talented volunteers were hand chosen to be among the military, tasked with protecting the nation from both internal and external threats. And although non-biological creations have improved quality of life, they are not yet capable of replacing the military. The necessary research and development for such a thing was thought to be decades away, until Councilman Eranor encountered an anomaly in his facility…
