《Aliens.exe》Chapter 104 - Jail Break

The large, imposing guards came towards the three escaped prisoners, arms extended, green biceps bulging (but not as much as their eyes.) They reached out to grab the escapees. Melissa and Officer Howler fought back, grappling and scratching and trying to push them away from the door they were pressed against. It was working, to an extent.
With one final big push away from the door it swung open, propelling them all to the floor. Expecting to see Eric Smythe’s leering face appear, Melissa crept backwards. All of a sudden, Rosemary leapt into action. With a cry of “I’ll be back for you my dears!” she swung her handbag, flooring the nearby security guard who was trying to get to his feet, grabbed the ID card Melissa had dropped on the floor and ambled as quickly as anyone had ever ambled before, straight out of the room.
“Come on out! You’re free!” they heard as she made her way down the corridor. The guards got back to their feet, opened the door and were instantly thrown backwards into the room by the stampede rushing out of the prison. They stood with Melissa and Officer Howler, no-one able to go anywhere near the door. The rush was fierce, accompanied by the customary laughs of hilarity, but every time they went near a fist was swung. Crawklings thought most things were funny, but clearly didn’t class prison and their guards in that category.
The melee died down, and the guards left the room, locking Melissa and Officer Howler in behind them. They wandered down the corridor, checking every cell. There was hardly anyone left. One or two people had obviously become casualties of the excitement and were lying prostrate on the floor. There was no sign of Rosemary. She was probably the least likely jail-breaker in history, but somehow, Jake’s Mom had escaped and let everybody out of the highest security prison in Crawk. Even if it was completely his fault, this would not go down well when their boss, Eric Smythe, found out.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

8 175Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
