She woke up in a different room with someone's arm around her waist. It didn't take a genius to figure out that she was in Arculus room, and that the person right next to her was the king of the underworld. She watched the way he slept. He looked so peaceful and relaxed. Winter smiled to herself, her hand reached out to his face. Tracing his lips and lightly touching his cheeks. She wasn't sure why she thought she was dreaming, perhaps to her Arculus was so close to perfection that it had to be a dream.
Arculus was awake yet he did not utter a word and made her believe he was still sleeping. He could hear how she stood up from her bed and walked to the bathroom. It took her about 10 minutes to come back out. Winter was looking around the room for her clothes. She realised that Arculus had changed her clothes yet she couldn't just walk around the palace with his shirt. She nudged him to wake him up but for some reason he did not open his eyes.
"Yes snowflake what's the matter?" He asked with his eyes closed.
"I can't find my clothes." She said confused and Arculus laughed lightly.
He finally opened his eyes and stood up from his bed. Walked towards and other door she had not seen before and slowly opened it. The room was filled with clothes. Arculus picked something out and handed it to her. She thanked him and walked back to the bathroom. She got dressed and realised that she had to go back to earth, pack her things.
"Arculus-" Winter had wanted to say something but Arculus cut her off.
"You need to pack your things, and see your family before you go." He answered in her place and Winter nodded her head.
"Wait a second there, did you read my mind?" She asked him skeptical which made Arculus smile.
"I wouldn't disrespect you like that snowflake." He said as he approached her, his face inches away from hers. Their lips almost touching.
Winter slowly took steps back to put some space between them. Feeling her heartbeat rise. Maybe she was a little nervous she wasn't so sure but she sure didn't want him that close to her, she might lose her balance.
"Are you nervous snowflake?" He asked her with raised eyebrows, reaching out to touch her face. Feeling her warmth under his fingertips he had missed so much.
"No I am not." She said confident but her heartbeat was betraying her.
"You're a bad liar Winter, I thought you knew that." He whispered in her ear tracing her lips with his thumb.
"Can you stop teasing me forest boy?" She asked him amused.
Arculus smiled and backed off. "I'm going to take shower I'll be right back." He said and walked away. "Don't go anywhere." Arculus Saïd before stepping in the bathroom.
Winter being winter did not stay in the room just like he had instructed. Because how bad and dangerous can it be. She walked around the palace, going in rooms where she is not supposed to be. First it was the office, later on she ended up in the dining room. Than she somehow ended up in this dark place. A round table in the middle of the room made out of glass. She was well aware that she was in the underworld but this room was darker then anything she had ever seen before.
"Aren't here any lights?" She asked out loud.

She walked around on her tippy toes carefully considering the fact she did not wear any shoes. Winter hugged herself for comfort, and it was extremely cold here for a human like her. She could hear small noises. It was as if there was rain drops falling down the sky and hitting the surface, however she was sure she was inside. Even if this wasn't earth there was no way it could be raining inside. She took small steps, extremely careful with each step she took.
She suddenly felt small hands on her back. Circling around making her feel relaxed yet terrified. However her heartbeat calmed down and even when she had no clue of where she was, she felt safe and sound.
"I should be panicking right now you know, I'm afraid of the dark." She whispered to herself but she could feel someone chuckle behind her.
"The dark should be afraid of you, your majesty." The voice whispered softly behind her in amusement.
"Who are you?" She whispered, not sure why she was even whispering in the first place.
"The king wouldn't want me to tell you who I am your majesty." The voice answered her question and Winter wasn't sure if she should be offended or not.
"Why?" She asked curious.
"Because he does not want me to harm you, but I wouldn't dare." The voice answered but than a door opened and she could feel the warmth go away.
A group of people stepped in the place and the lights went on. She was met with two familiar faces and two other people she never have seen before. All of them stared at her with wonder in their eyes. Probably wondering who she was and what she was doing there. Suddenly Arculus appeared in the room, his eyes also on her.
"I said and I quote 'do not go anywhere'. " Arculus sat down on the side of the table with his arms crossed. Watching her like he has always done.
"I mean I was just wandering around you know I was just being curious." She said scratching her head.
One of the two people she didn't know whispered the word "humans " out loud. She wasn't offended but it just reminded her that she was indeed not on earth.
"Well nice to see you again my Queen, have you slept well. I hope Arculus snores didn't bother you too much." Zell said out loud and Arculus raised his eyebrows.
"I honestly slept great, I didn't hear his snores too much." She said as she smiled to Zell, happy to see him again.
"Good morning human." Amon said as he set down in front of the round table.
"Hi Amon, you have new piercings?" She asked as she approached him examining his face in amazement and worry.
"Yes I do, I'll appreciate it if you didn't touch my face." Amon said annoyed but in all honesty he was amused.
"We will have to keep this meeting later on, because I have to drop her off on earth." He said while he stood up ready to walk away.
"I can drop her off." Amon said surprising everyone in the room.
"The first time you met her you threw knives her way." Arculus answered skeptical.
"Yeah that was an accident." Amon defended himself.
"How do you accidentally throw knives at someone? Like oops haha my bad didn't mean to almost kill you? Pretty sure shit doesn't work that way." Zell said as he glanced at Amon trying to provoke him.

"Are you going to test me again? Because I will knock you out." Amon answered annoyed.
"You're such a grumpy teddybear. Just laugh it off and calm down." Zell said as he looked threw documents that laid in front of him.
"You don't tell me to calm down three eyed donkey." Amon said as he stood up.
"Says the one that looks like a fucking horse." Zell retorted back and Winter was worried for a second. But than she remembered that they are always like this.
"Enough guys, I swear one day I'll lose my patience with you two. You want to take her back to earth go ahead Amon, but don't try anything funny." Arculus said as he clapped his hands. "Let's start the meeting."
Winter smiled as she walked out of the room. Really excited to pack her bags. Just when she was outside of the castle and Amon was ready to let his wings free, she spotted a black figure behind the curtains. She raised her eyebrows and looked back at Amon. Trying to figure out if he saw anything but he seemed to be his usual quiet self around her. Amon wrapped his hand around her.
"Hold on tight human." He told her before flying away.
The first time she arrived here she was too scared to look down. However when she did she thought she could see a glimpse of heaven. While the entire underworld was dark even when it was supposed to be day, she could see white clouds and a golden gate. The more the flew away the heavens seemed to be further and further away. Than her eyes landed on a ocean. The water was so clear she could easily see all the animals but what she did it expect to see was humans with tails.
"Oh my god." She screamed out loud. "Those are mermaids?" She screamed in amazement.
"You have seen forest spirits, vampires and demons." Amon answered. "Why would mermaids not be a thing than?" He wondered out loud.
The trip back home was a short one. When she finally arrived she noticed that most things were already packed. Lazarus however was no where to be found and the kids were already bringing the boxes in the truck. She hugged every kid before going to her room to pack her own things. When she was finished Amon brought all her boxes down stairs.
"I'll bring this to the underworld, I'll pick you up later on." Amon said but it seemed to winter he didn't want to leave.
"You can stay longer if you want." Winter suggested while smiling at him.
"I just don't feel like attending a meeting, but I can't stay here human. Arculus would kill me." Amon said and for the first time she saw him smile.
"I'll be back...your majesty." Amon smiled and lowered his head, showing respect to the future Queen for once. He didn't even lower his head for Arculus.
Winter knew that correcting him would be hard since Amon has always been stubborn, so she just smiled at him. Amon let his wings free and flew away. Winter went back inside looking for Lazarus. Wondering where he was or could be. She had wanted to see her mom and her friends again, since she wasn't sure when she would be back.
Just when she was thinking about calling them, the door bell rang. Lente opened the door and she was met with her family standing there. Winter smiled, happy to see them. Time went by so quickly for her liking. She had forgotten that Amon would be back to pick her up. She was enjoying their presence so much that she didn't want to leave just yet. However Winter always ran away from everything, avoiding problems because she thought that it would just fix it self. Or if she just forgot maybe it never happened, but she didn't want to live like that anymore. She had responsibilities and perhaps a kingdom to take care of. When she heard thunder outside she raised her eyebrows. Already knowing that Amon was already here.
She kissed her friends and family on the cheeks before walking outside. When she stood outside Winter expected to only see Amon. Yet to her surprise she was met with an entire army. Their wings out and their head lowered.
"Well this is impressive." Gio said beside her.
Winter turned around to have a better view of his face. "I'll be back to pay everyone a visit. Tell mom to take care of herself." She told him with a smile on her face.
"I will." Gio answered back and kissed his little sister on her forehead.
Winter waved at her older brother as she made her way towards Amon, and when they finally flew away she realised that an entire kingdom was waiting for her.
Amon had flew faster as he did before, she noticed that because she didn't even have time to appreciate the beauty beneath her. Before she knew it she was already in the place wearing a black dress with golden detail. While holding the heels in her hand since she didn't feel like wearing them. Arculus was right next to her leading her to a balcony where she almost had the view of the entire kingdom. When she looked down she noticed how there were a lot of demons just standing there watching her. All of them were on their knees as Arculus cleared his throat to speak.
"I present you your Queen." He spoke up as everyone was quiet and listened.
"The one that will look after every single one of you, the one that will rule this kingdom by my side." Winter watched as most demons were cheering.
"I will not tolerate any disrespect. She is your queen and you shall treat her like one." The crowd cheered even loudly, and Arculus took her hand and held it high in the sky.
"She is my bride." He spoke up with pride on the tip of his tongue and the crowd cheered even louder.
Winter smiled softly, overwhelmed by emotions. Joy running through her veins and her smile only growing in size. She felt like it was an honour to be even standing here. But her smile slowly dropped as she looked in front of her. At the back of the crowd of demons she could see a black figure, a shadow just standing there and watching her. She wasn't sure if she saw it right but she could see a forming on the shadows face.
Winter blamed it on her view and dismissed it, it was probably her overreacting. Her sight was probably playing tricks on her. As she walked back inside and looked around the palace that was now supposed to be here. She thought that the life she would live would be a fun one, but she didn't want to speak on things she didn't know. Because her mother had always said it bring bad luck, but Winter was the definition of bad luck.
"I guess life really starts from here on out." She whispered to herself but Arculus over heard her.
He smiled at her and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Everything starts now." He answered her, but neither of them knew that the words they said right now would have impact on the future.
Neither of them knew what was waiting for them.

The beginning will move straight to the fantasy world like most Isekai light novels. As usual, each chapter will go between 500 and 2,000 words. I deleted the other draft since this draft will be my focus. Enjoy and let me know what you think of this new draft. There may also be grammar and spelling errors too. This series is still in development.
